I just have to say what an amazing Dance Studio this is. My daughter has learned and advanced in her dance tremendously since joining A Step Above Performing Arts. The teachers are exceptional, warm and friendly, very talented and most important bring out the best in the children that go there. They are very tuned in to each and every child in their class. The Owners are very sweet and loving people and you can see the love and care they have for every child that goes to their studio. They are great people with amazing hearts for our children and us as parents as well. It's like having a second family and home.

We love A Step Above! My daughter is dancing here for 14 years, since she was 2 years old. I am so happy we found such a wonderful dance studio! The owners Lydia & Ashley are warm & loving. The teachers are all amazing! We have both made so many lifelong friends & they have become our 2nd family! I highly recommend them!!

11 years ago my toddler waddled into the studio bc she wanted to dance. The owner openly welcomed her and let her try out the ballet bar. I knew then and there that this studio was where we would be! The staff and owners are more like family. The teachers have gone above and beyond to make my daughter feel special. Over the last 11 we have become a part of this dance family and I couldn’t be prouder. I can rave about my experiences for days knowing the smile on my daughter’s face each day speaks for itself!!

I have been dancing here since I was 5 and this is a great studio! It is so welcoming and it is like my second home! The teachers have choreographed many great dances in both competition and non competition. Definitely a studio to consider joining! I am so happy I did!

When I first started dancing at this studio I was instantly welcomed and made life long friendships! I loved my time at A step above so much, I am now a teacher at this beautiful studio. The students are so great and inclusive to everyone. I wouldn’t want to work anywhere else!

ASAPA is one of the best studios on Long Island to send your child to for dance. The level of professionalism and respect throughout the studio can easily be seen from the owners to their staff. The owners, Lydia and Ashley, truly care about what’s best for their staff as well as their dancers when it comes to safety and always provide the dancers with amazing “Once in a Lifetime” opportunities to allow the dancers to grow. I love ASAPA. The team has been so welcoming to me. I love all the friends that I have made and the teachers are the best. Not only are the teachers fun, but they are incredibly talented. I have learned so much from them. But most of all, I love being on the competition team. They make me feel like family and I have such fond memories of all my competitions. The owner Lydia is very responsive and always very understanding and helpful. I am so happy I left my other dance school to come here. It was the best decision. The environment is so friendly, and they make dancing fun for me.

When I danced here at A Step Above, all I have to say is they have the nicest staff and owners. They were and still are so welcoming to new people and always make sure dancing is fun for their students and not just all about winning. I definitely do not regret my time dancing at this studio and wish I could go back!
