We
recently
visited
the
Herman
Tea
Plantation
in
Handunugoda,
and
it
was
a
captivating
experience.
The
tour
included
an
in-depth
look
at
the
production
of
both
black
and
green
but
also
white
tea.
We
were
especially
fascinated
by
our
visit
to
the
black
tea
factory,
where
we
saw
the
journey
of
tea
from
freshly
harvested
leaves
to
finely
sorted
products.
The
plantation's
diverse
range
of
teas,
enhanced
with
unique
flavors
like
pepper,
hibiscus,
and
cinnamon
from
the
plantation,
was
impressive.
The
tasting
session
was
a
highlight,
allowing
us
to
savor
different
teas,
including
the
exquisite
Virgin
White
tea,
which
stood
out
as
a
special
treat.
We
also
appreciated
the
opportunity
to
see
the
tea
plant
nursery,
adding
to
our
understanding
of
tea
cultivation
from
its
very
beginning.
The
beauty
of
the
plantation,
combined
with
the
informative
tour
and
warm
hospitality,
made
our
visit
truly
memorable.
For
anyone
interested
in
the
art
and
science
of
tea-making,
Herman
Tea
Plantation
Handunugoda
is
a
must-visit
destination.
