Booked it as a pit stop from the south coast to the national park. Stayed at the Cinnamon Museum and dine at Cinnamon Mount. Had a lovely time. The accommodation although basic (bear in mind this is a 3 star hotel) has all you need. Enjoyed the pool. The staff are great and service was spot on. The surrounding is beautiful, the main house tastefully done and the quiet tranquility is a nice change from Mirissa beach. The meal was very good too. Might be on the steep side of the budget compared to what is in the area but for us it's worth paying as did enjoyed our stay. If you value exclusivity, good food and a quiet retreat yet 10mins ride from the beach, this is the place to go. Will come back.

We have spent 3 weeks traveling Sri Lanka and this place was by far the coolest accommodation we had. It was also above our average budget, but really worth it. If you are considering giving yourself a small pleasure I could only recommend you to go there. Amazing spot, amazing service and amazing nature around.

Such a beautiful place. A hidden gem. If you want a calm and serene place to stay in mirissa, away from the hustle and bustle this is the place. Few minutes drive to the beach and the amazing restaurants. Staff is so friendly and accommodative. The sunset is a must watch.Love it.

Authentic Sri Lankan fare is served here. The food is exceptional and the service is first class. The property (probably the highest point in the area) overlooks the entire portion of Mirissa and boasts a 360degree panoramic view of the surrounding. Be prepared for that breathtaking meal with a view. This location is excellent for families or young honeymoon couples seeking a quiet getaway. Hosting Yoga retreats are definitely possible as well. We were fortunate to be taken around the vicinity which also contains an up and coming cinnamon museum. There are two very quiet yet majestic swimming pools (an infinity pool adjacent to the cinnamon museum and a more than decent sized dipping pool in the middle of the main building) Enjoy your cup of tea/coffee, glass of wine or whiskey in the evening with a scenic view of the hills. We were fortunate to have the owner(a humble man full of life experiences and stories to tell) show us around. Staying here or even dropping by for a meal will surely be a memorable experience.

A gem of a villa tucked away on top of a cinnamon estate. Lush green surroundings, overlooking the bay of Mirissa afar. Food, atmosphere, service and comfort at its best.

Beatiful villa, which is almost an art gallery with great service and a kid friendly dog. Always relaxing to visit Mirissa Hills. Great service from Thilak, Aruna and team.

If you're in the area I highly recommend visiting here for an epic sunset. The property is an active cinnamon plantation with 3 villas. One at the base, one in the centre and the premium at the top. While it can be booked as a whole they do rent rooms individually as well. There's a pool in the central courtyard on the top level villa and a flat hill top gazebo overlooking the bay. Perfect for a sunset tea and cheese toast! Very natural and multiple vantage points to choose from to enjoy different views. Service is friendly and accommodating. We were just visiting for the sunset, so we called ahead for a table to be reserved on the veranda. Great spot for functions or just a holiday spot. Literally across the road from the beach, by car from the top of the hill about 15 mins drive ( it's a fair climb up). The Gazebo is a great photo op. for your albums!

Should say its a hidden gem in Mirissa. Overlooking the weligama bay with a breathtaking view younwill a calm and quiet relaxing time there. Reminded me a this one of the boutique hotels you can see when you go ona retreat ... Built in a old cinnamon cultivation land nearly 16 acres.. they are carrying out construction for a cinnamon museum which will g8ve an in depth knowledge knowledge in cinnamon cultivation.. they do arrange hikes and tours specially for foreigners ending with a tour in a tea factory.. When it's come to hotel it located at a very scenic location with a great view.. you will find peacocks early morning around the hotel.. this will be best place for family trip or for a relaxing holiday with your freinds.. specially for couples.. This may not a best place for people who are visiting with kids as the premises architecture is not safe enough for kids. But if you can keep 0n eye about the kids this is a best place for them to enjoy the freedom in nature.. Rooms are bit old and I believe they need to have attention to upgrade and renovate... you will not find TV in the room and bathrooms are with all the amenities with old fashion once. Be aware when using hot water as they separate taps for hot and cold water. Also better to provide tea coffee facility in room as they are basic requirements.. Food is amazing and so tasty.. I believe they can add bit more for verities for their breakfast.. specially for their English Breakfast.. at least baked beans, bit more bacon (as it was served very small pieces), creamy or saturated mushrooms, smash potatoes or wages.. no any fault found hut just added few thoughts to upgrade.. Staff and customer service is extremely friendly and attentive.. one of the best I ever experienced.. We had a one night stay very relaxing and enjoying yhr nature. Surely will visit again..

Impeccable service. Lovely location. Quiet, beautiful, nature, stunning, impeccably maintained, gorgeous nature and no traffic or noises from outside. Just a short bike, bicycle or car ride to the beaches, or if you are athletic can enjoy walking on small roads through rice paddies to get to main Mirissa or Weligama. You can also come and do a lovely cinnamon plantation tour here, and learn all about the production and history of the wonderful hand-harvested Ceylon cinnamon β€” no booking required! Just arrive between 9am-3pm and they will take care of you ❀️‍πŸ”₯ Note: the hotel is stunning, and located 800m up the road from where the initial guard house is. If you arrive at night, just know that the three-wheeler, bike etc will have to go up this road. The staff is AMAZING, and will help you take care of every need. Also β€” the upper hotel rooms are separate from the lower rooms (different category). Best to book DIRECTLY with the property, and make sure they have your phone number and you have theirs in case any concerns about arrival/location. Enjoy your stay here β€” the property appreciates your patronage!

Extremely close to nature, breathtaking views overlooking the Welgima Bay. Classy structure by infamous Geoffrey Bawa still standing graciously over the Indian Ocean. Interior fixtures and fittings in the villa need attending. Outdoor living can become somewhat hazardous for those who loath creeping insects in the night. All in all, a wonderful experience.. would like to come again.

Went to a wedding and reception last night. Sensationally seriously excellent. Superb service and brilliant food in an outdoor setting that is incomparable. Management bent over backwards to assist guests with transport etc., and the memories of this event will live long. Bride was a knockout too.

We had an awesome time β€”one of the best stays. With calm cinnamon forest surroundings, the distance sound of the Buddhist temple, it can truly take you to the natural feeling of a back in the days Sri Lankan village, oh and the rustic furniture supports the claim. The architecture of this premise is a masterpiece. I loved every bit of it, my favourite was the veranda facing the ocean side. Not to forget the staff, they are really helpful and the food was awesome as well. Thank you for an exceptional time.

This place is designed with a touch of antiques. It’s a bit away from the city limits. Very quiet and calm place to enjoy the nature. The potato curry that was offered for the breakfast was mind blowing. It has that village taste with all the spices in it. And the staff is very friendly, humble and welcoming.

😐 The location of this hostel is a 10 minute walk inland despite what is shown on google maps. In addition, there is no pool as advertised in the pictures. The place is a great cheap option for the area. It is important to note that there was no A/C. The owner Roy was a gracious host. He went above...

😠 The food is not worth your while. We stopped for lunch and were bitterly disappointed. Seafood kottu costs 1200 rupees and has absolutely no seafood. My friend's prawn wrap might have a max of one prawn in it. So disappointing, especially for a coastal place, where seafood is meant to be ace. Parago...
