If you want to see true culture then this is where you should head. I'm from Australia and have never seen such beautifully presented fruit and vegetables. So, so fresh! I wanted to buy a traditional mortar and pestle so our driver brought us here. What a feast for our eyes. You can buy anything related to food/cooking here including fresh meat and fish. We arrived late afternoon and I was shocked to see the meat on the tables with no ice, so just sitting there in the humid heat of Lombok. ☹ If you're after meat or fish come first thing in the morning. It had rained an hour before we got there so the ground was muddy and smelly. Still worth a visit though. The people were amazing and the prices much better than the supermarket. Loved this place. 😍💕

Traditional market. Only 15 min feom senggigi. They start market since 5 o'clock in the morning. Anything you want in, lombok tobacco, lombok coffee, a lot of difference spices, fish market, meat market, a lot of tropical fruits and much more. You can see how they proceed the coconut, became coconut milk. They also have fresh coconut oils. People on this market also super nice and quite welcome, but it's doesn't mean you can't bargain. Try to find snacks name "tusuk gigi" it's very delicious. You can came here with motorbike. Pay parking only 1k rupiah. Best time to came is 4 o'clock in afrternoon, cos this place have so much street food. Always prepared yourself will be a lot of suprice cos you will see the reality of lombok. Bring hand sanitizer!!
