Great selection of beers, tasty finger food and super nice staff. Hop trip has a very cozy and friendly environment with different artists' work on the walls. It's especially pleasant for people who like dogs!

The nicest place in Matosinhos for drinks and snacks. Guys always have good choice of craft beers and a very friendly team who are happy to help you choose, give different beers to try and pick yours. A lovely bonus - 2 sweet doggos of the owners who come by sometimes to chill. I would definitely recommend.

Great tap house style bar with some excellent craft beers on draft. We really enjoyed our visit and all the different beers we tried. It's a lovely spot with seats indoors and out in the sun. The service is very friendly and you can just sit there, chill and try lots of interesting beers at very reasonable prices. Great pub.

I love craft beers so this was a spot in visit list for a while. They have 12 taps and many beers and ciders in bottle/can. The staff is great and I loved the part that the taps represent the people that work there, such a great tribute to the staff and the lovely dogs ☺️ I didn’t try any food, maybe another time. This time was just beer ☺️ The atmosphere is great and there is plenty of sitting outdoors. Nice place I’ll return ☺️

We had a wonderful time at this place. Had great beer, were able to sample it before buying, and made some new friends among the other guests. The staff was super friendly. You will not regret going here, especially if you like beer!

We were looking for a place to have a quick drink before we went for dinner and this place happened to be nearby. So we decided to give it a go and was not disappointed with the experience. The bartender gave samples of beer for tasting as I wasn't sure what to go with. The sheer variety of choices made that decision difficult but the samples gave me a good idea what to go with. In conclusion, the beer was good and the American craft beerplace vibe is on point.

Good beers, they go beyond the ordinary Super Bock offerings. Skip the poppers, but do try the BBQ balls. Staff is very friendly and makes you feel right at home.

Very friendly service, cute dogs, great craft beer from around the EU. In a country of Super Bock and pilsners, here you can have a tripel, saison, sour, or DIPA The appetizers looked great (cheesy bacon potatoes!) but I went to Sicario for Mexican food

Not actually Porto being Matesinhos, this was the best craft beer place I went to in Portugal (tied for second were Catraio and Collosus). The staff was very welcoming and helpful, the beers were the best, both local and international, and the atmosphere was so chill with dogs and people filling the place up. Wish I had more time to go back.

Great craft beer from breweries in Portugal and other guest countries. Great pub, music (Ramones when we were there 🎸🚀), and atmosphere. Friendly staff and happy customers. Food available if you are hungry. If you're not sure what beer to order, just ask for advice or a free taste sample. Looking forward to visiting again in the autumn. The dogs were there on our visit!

Friendly service and wide selection of craft beers on draft or bottled. A good mix of brews from Portugal and other countries. Their kitchen has snacks but not really a full menu meal menu. The quality of the food was good. Will be back.

One of my favourite places in Porto/Matosinhos to grab a beer. With a great selection of international and local craft beers and ciders, both on draft and in the fridge. Knowledgeable and friendly staff and tasty snacks!

Would recommend this to literally everyone. The place is great, did not expect the two dogs but they are a very very cute surprise. They have a great selection of beer and the staff is super friendly, plus they have a good taste in music. I’m sad I don’t live in Portugal otherwise I stop by this place every day.

Hop Trip is awesome. Great beer, perfect location just 100 meters from the ocean, great staff, and awesome music. The beers are fantastic, varied, and expressive. The staff are friendly as anything and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The beers on tap are really well selected. I have tasted most of them over the past week and have not had a bad one. Highly recommend and say hi to me if you are here in the next couple of months. It has become my home away from home.

The dogs are so cute!!! Definitely the highlight of my visit. Oh, and the selection of beers are good too! Will definitely return if I'm ever in Porto again.

Great spot for craft beer in Matosinhos! Welcoming staff (English spoken), welcoming pooches (two goldens), tasty beer and cider, with tons of tap options as well as can/bottle. Smaller spot with both indoor and outdoor seating. Menu looks interesting. Lots of vegetarian options. They have jalapeño poppers, which I will definitely try when I return. Good stuff!

This is an amazing place to have great beers. If you are a craft beer lover, you NEED to go there! There you can find craft beer from all over Europe, and taps are rotating every 10 days roughly. Tap beer is great (which is not really common, as you know, standard places use to diluite tap beer), and cans are really awesome. One can say that beer costs too much there...yeah, it could be expensive but good beer costs, that's it. The money you spend there will be worth it, 100% guaranteed. Besides, the owner is a really nice person! Go there, and cheers!
