Despite
being
such
a
small
country,
Portugal
seems
to
be
at
the
forefront
of
the
vegetarian
modern
casual/fine
dining
scene,
with
restaurants
like
@senhor.uva
,
@arkherestaurante
,
@seiva.restaurante
kicking
up
a
storm
and
on
an
even
more
high
profile
scale,

We
had
one
night
in
Porto
on
our
way
back
south
and
after
a
week
filled
with
meat,
we
had
our
hearts
set
on
something
a
little
different.
Along
came
@favatonkapt
which
has
been
on
my
hit
list
for
a
while,
set
in
a
quiet
area
of
Matosinhos.
A
new
seasonal
menu
(recently
launched)
filled
with
rich
rooty
goodness.
Highlights
for
us
were
the
wild
mushroom
pie,
served
with
a
really
meaty
stout
sauce...
and
the
Cauliflower
with
nori
weed
&
ajo
blanco,
finishing
with
a
gorgeous
seasonal
pud
of
apple
fennel
and
lemon.

what
so
many
vegetarian
restaurants
fail
to
do,
which
is
to
fool
your
palate
and
make
you
forget
that
you
are
in
a
vegetarian
restaurant.
Bloody
impressive
and
another
one
to
recommend
if
you
fancy
something
different
in
Porto.
The
service
and
atmosphere
were
wonderful.
Couldn't
have
asked
for
a
more
pleasant
evening.
