The freshest possible fish simply and expertly prepared. A bowl of olives, a simple salad of greens, tomato, onion and fire roasted peppers, buttered new potatoes, freshly baked bread and fire grilled sea bass served butterflied. A bottle of white wine. Panna Cotta dessert. Outside table. It doesn't get any better than this. Friendly service at this family run delight. The entire meal for two came to 46 euros. It's easy to get there by metro from Porto.

Hole in the wall restaurant that will delight you with extremely fresh seafood paired with the knowledge to cook it to perfection as well. Definitely, not the main stream restaurant with a high price tag. Excellent food, excellent price and 👍👍. An absolute must if you want to step off the beaten path! #offthebeatenpath

Tasty, Clean and low price

This is my favorite restaurant of all Matosinhos! The seafood and fish are always so fresh and perfectly grilled! The salads are always super fresh and delicious! The bread are wonderfully home baked, the owners are so modest and kind and attentive with their service. Generous quantities!! And finally the price is very reasonable!!!. I highly recommend! 💯

Great food, no fuss. We had the sardines and the squid. All the seafood dishes came with potatoes. The 2 dishes were plenty for both of us. And delicious. They do the trick where they bring you olives and bread and you think it's complimentary, but it is not. There is a problem with flies, we spent most of our time waving them away.

Fresher fish than 160m from the fish market in Matosinhos is impossible. Robalo and sardinhas. Top. You come to Porto, go to Matosinhos and you will experience what is Portuguese fish dishes. No better than here.

Good food for reasonable price (not the cheapest). Make sure to withdraw cash beforehand because they don't accept credit card.

No nonsense place with quick tasty food. Had the Caldo Verde soup to start and of course we all had sardines - the first of the season! Delicious. Waiter was very friendly and helpful. Don’t forget to bring cash as they don’t take cards

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! Had an amazing night here with the best and most friendly service I've had during my stay in the Porto area, perhaps even in my life. Combine this with the incredible food and personal touch from the staff of this family business, who truly made us feel at home, and you have an experience that will warm your heart, and you won't soon forget. My gratitude to the people of Cais à Doca. If I find myself in Matosinhos again, I'll know where to go!

Great seafood restaurant in Matosinhos. The waitress was super friendly, she explained the menu and provided recommendations. Great service and the sardines and bream were delicious.

What an amazing place this is. A family owned and operated business, which is located just slightly off the main "tourist-street". The food is amazing and is dependent on the locally caught fish (if you go for a fish dish, which is reccomendable because it is the local specialty). I had the best sardines I’ve ever had here, and the local white wine from the Douros valley is the best compliment to the dish I could think of. All in all a wonderful night I will not forget, highly reccomended!

The best restaurant in Porto. Very kind, helpful waitress and food was very tasty and all fresh. We had an excellent experience. Highly recommend to visit, much better than other restaurants in the centre.

Skip the touristy places on the main Matosinhos strip and come to this place. Amazing sardines and squid, down to earth and friendly staff. The real deal.

Where should I start? Beautiful staff, awesome service. We went there with the family and had a great evening. Very nice people and very delicious food. We would recommend to go there and enjoy the great fish menus. We had had great olives at the beginning and ate squid and shrimps. Very nice Schnaps and espresso at the end. 100% recommendation.

We had a lovely meal at lunch today. The squid and sea bass we're fresh and we'll cooked. However there were a number of things on the menu that were unavailable and before what we ordered arrived, we were brought olives bread and dip which all were added to our bill even though we didn't order them.

Nice fresh food, very good service and all of this for reasonable prices.
