(Translated by Google) Very interesting the tour that I did and with a lot of information about the centenary camellias. I was not aware of the great variety. I also hadn't visited Casa São Roque yet and the space is beautiful, clean and well maintained. From the house, there is an access to São Roque Park. The attention of the staff was excellent, impeccable. Thank you, I intend to come back more often. (Original) Muito interessante o tour que fiz e com muita informação sobre as camélias centenárias. The house alone is worth a visit but it also hosts modern art exhibitions

Apparently the place is not well known for the Portuguese people. It's kinda new (opened in 2019 after restoration and renovation were made). But it's a nice little place if you're into contemporary art exhibits. The building itself is something else. An architecture must see! Originally from the 18th century, it was preserved Wonderfully. It has an impressive garden, so it's nice to sit and wonder for yourself why aren't you moving to live there already.

Casa São Roque is nowadays a must when visiting Porto! Jotta’s impressive collection is integrated in the historical house, which has been recently restored. While visiting one can appreciate the collection’s incredible art and also feel how it would be to live as a Portuguese noble over than 100 years ago. On top, its great location in the heart of Porto, the beautiful winter garden and the close by Sao Roque Park make the visit memorable! Definitely recommend!

(Translated by Google) The history of Casa São Roque (also known as Palacete Ramos Pinto) goes back to 1759, when, as part of Quinta da Lameira, it functioned as a mansion and hunting lodge, as was typical of the bourgeoisie and noble families of Porto. In the 19th century, it belonged to the family of Maria Virgínia de Castro, who in 1888 married António Ramos Pinto, one of the best known producers and exporters of Port wine. Shortly thereafter, between 1900 and 1911, he commissioned the architect José Marques da Silva to remodel and expand the house, at the same time that Jacinto de Matos designed the garden. In 1979, the entire farm and house were acquired by the Porto City Council from the last owner, António Eugénio de Castro Ramos Pinto Cálem, grandson of Maria Virgínia and António. The furniture and the most important objects in the house were preserved and are still in use today in the Casa do Roseiral collection, while the remainder was acquired by antiques dealer Aurora Rodrigues Martins. The building today maintains its original eclectic style, introduced with the remodeling of Marques da Silva, who was inspired by French historicisms of the 19th century and Belgian "art nouveau", having recently been rehabilitated under the supervision of the architect João Mendes Ribeiro. It can be visited every day except Tuesday, between 13.30 and 19 hours. Closed on Tuesdays. Ticket cost: 7 € (free on the 1st Monday of each month).

The park is free to the public, the museum inside is 4€ to enter and see some modern art installations but it wasnt that worth it. I reccomend the park and the cafe

The house has been painstakingly restored and is an architectural treasure. While it provided a good space for the the Emily Wardill exhibition, the art didn't grab me and I am not a fan of video installations. Was it worth the eight euros admission? I'm not sure, but it would take something very special to tempt me back at the price.

Pedro & Johanna are perfect hosts, their welcome is unobtrusive, inclusive and infectious. It is more than a wonderful gallery - the house itself, with the camelias surrounding, is a wonderful respite from the buzz of Porto. Highly recommended...

Out of the way, and was not worth our time. House interior was attractive and mildly interesting. The temporary art exhibit was an incomprehensible disappointment.

I visited on the first Monday of the month when entry is free for residents of Portugal. There are some interesting exhibits and the house in itself is good. The park is also well manicured with its own grotto and maze.

We went to view the Andy Warhol collection, the museum is in a beautiful historic house and attached to gorgeous gardens which are nice to walk around also! Staff were friendly and we enjoyed a glass of wine while we waited for our Uber afterwards. 😊

This property is a former gem in a run down suburb. The mansion has some delightful features including interior timber finishes and tile work. The grounds are also delightful. However the Andy Warhol exhibition on display was underwhelming . Too small and not very well captioned or described.

The house is absolutely amazing, decorated with enormous taste in the beginning of the twentieth century. The interiors are perfect and even more amazing than the art presented inside. Absolutely must see!

Loved this museum. Beautiful old house, and garden/park to explore after seeing the exhibitions. The Andy Warhol exhibition was really good! It’s perfectly walking distance from city centre but far away enough that it isn’t crowded with tourist.

Freshly revored old manor house. Where the modern meets the classic. Well done.
