Extremely
well
put
together
hostel.
It
can
be
a
little
loud
sometimes,
but
this
had
more
to
do
with
the
guests
(admittedly
myself
included)
than
the
space.
Very
easy
to
feel
at
home
in
the
cozy
rooms
and
the
large
common
space.
The
hostel
served
as
a
home
to
several
long-term
residents
that
were
as
varied
and
interesting
as
the
hostel
itself:
a
teacher,
a
chef,
an
opera
singer,
and
several
other
remote
workers.
The
short
term
guests
were
also
friendly
and
outgoing.
I
think
this
is
a
testament
to
the
culture
that
Luis
has
built
at
this
hostel.
This
place
is
perfect
for
solo
travelers
looking
to
meet
new
people
and
try
new
things.
It
is
quite
close
to
the
beach
and
several
surf
schools,
and
Luis
also
offers
private
lessons.
Luis
also
has
connections
to
a
local
BJJ
gym
where
they
offer
beginner
lessons
in
English
and
Portuguese,
as
well
as
standard
lessons
(Portuguese
only).
I
would
not
recommend
this
place
to
someone
looking
to
keep
to
themselves,
only
because
they
won't
get
as
much
out
of
this
hostel.
It
is
also
not
very
close
to
city
center
if
you
want
to
take
public
transportation.
However,
ride
shares
are
quite
inexpensive.
Caruma
Surf
Hostel
offers
a
lively
and
social
environment
for
a
stay
in
Porto's
best
beach
neighborhood.
10/10
will
be
staying
again
the
next
time
I
have
a
chance
to
come
to
Porto.
