I was very disappointed with the service I received today at the Panera Bread in Matteson, Illinois or should I say the service I did not receive. I wanted to place a catering order in person. Could not navigate the system on line. The cashiers said they could not take my order because the lady over catering was gone for the day. They said to come back tomorrow. They could not even confirm if the order would be ready by Saturday morning. This does not make any sense. It's a matter of taking my order and submitting it to the catering department. I went over to the Panera Bread in Homewood and they took my order immediately. Matteson Panera Bread, please do better in your customer service. Businesses are already scarce in Matteson. We need to do better to hold on to the few we have. Thank you Donna Bishop

I think they really pick and choose their customers and how they treat them waited over 40 minutes for half a soup and half a sandwich.... Never again. I will drive an extra 20 min to my other nearest panera thank u

Slow, incompetent staff who obviously don’t care about completing orders fast or on time. And that’s if they don’t give you an attitude for asking them to do their job. You’re better off going to the gas station across the street for actual customer service.

Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Never again willi be fooled into thinking they can get my order right. I was a valuable customer because I work nearby but each time I've ordered from here my order is never right. And it be simple; soup and sandwich. But never again. They lost a valuable customer.

This Panera bread is terrible!!! The customer service is horrible, they messed up my food the last three times I went, they take entirely too long, the whole environment is absolutely horrible and unprofessional! Although they messed up my order last time, I did have one good experience with a drive thru cashier I didn’t see a name tag but she had beautiful tattoos and a great personality. Definitely hope to see her again.

Always The Freshest Salads you could ever Taste! However I had my food delivered...Order Number 763486502. There was hardly any Lettuce and it was smaller than a half salad that I would usually get? Very Disappointed 😞! My Sandwich hardly No Chicken? Definitely not the Value that I'm accustomed to from Panera!

Smaller portions given same prices as other Panera’s. I ordered a large Mac & Cheese given two small size Mac & Cheese very misleading. Manager has poor customer service.

I was taken care of today by Keisha at the register. She is super kind, immensely hospitable and totally professional. I asked her what was the best salad and she said her favorite is the Goddess. I decided to try it. She is a terrific person to represent Panera. I will update as soon as I try it but her service is already top notch! Bless you.

I ordered my food and they made a mistake on the order and I called back and spoke with Geenve the manager and she took great care of me! Customer service is always perfect here! ❤

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! This place is disgusting. I ordered the poppy chicken salad and soup and within 20 minutes of eating it I was throwing up for the rest of the day & had to call off work!! I also got an apple for my side and it was rotten and covered in dirt. Unbelievable.

Slow service

Upon taking the dressing out of the salad I was greeted with a long piece of black hair. Therefore I was unable to eat this and I’m out of the money.

I ordered a pick up order combo and was very pleased with the food. Good quality and was ready in about the time frame it promised, maybe a few minutes after but I drove and only waited about 5 minutes extra . Pizza bread and cheese broccoli combo is amazing and there is plenty of space to eat. For anyone posting about their hours, please check the WEBSITE and not Google - Google is not affiliated with Panera so please be proactive and check Panera website or simply call. I will return!

Time to unwind. This place is therapeutic from the music, to the atmosphere and the reasonably priced smoothies! Nothing like grabbing the 'ol laptop and taking care of business at your local neighborhood Panera Bread!

Good place to meet friends for overpriced coffee and pastries. But, at least refills are free.

Asked for a bear claw got a cinnamon pecan twist. Didn't realize till down the block. Associate not paying attention or dosen't know one from the other even with SIGNS on the product

This is the worst Panera I’ve been to. The speed of their orders couldn’t be any slower. There’s only one person at the cashier that took for ever to take one order, and not to mention that we waited 30 minutes to get the food in a bag. I will never go there again.

How much salad I have left after picking out all the bad Lettuce. Yall to expensive to be giving out bad food. The quality in food has gone down!

Their chicken sandwiches are good but really small. The one salad with strawberries is so good, but they seem to have removed it from their menu. ...of course?! 😡 On my last visit, they screwed up my order, so check before You walk away.

Seems understaffed, and could be cleaner. Spent over $100 on food for the family and order was incomplete, and had to wait again several minutes at the unmanned register waiting for someone to come see what I wanted. Portions are small for what you get. Not exactly fine dining for the price. Pastries are good though, try the pecan roll.

If you want cold food that you pay an astronomical amount of money for, if you want Young kids working that absolutely don't care and have zero professionalism, if you just want an overall terrible experience that you're probably not used to dealing with when you go to Panera bread please come to the matteson ....location I guarantee you you'll be going back to get something that was missed on your meal or deal with terrible service overall I hope they shut the place down because this has been an ongoing terrible situation, Matteson does not deserve this nor do our taxpayers

I got a pick two. I saved my Caesar salad w/ chicken for dinner and I ate my sandwich for lunch. Bacon turkey sandwich it was FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to get another one.

I love dining at this clean establishment because of the Wonderful staff and Delicious meals being served there. I must mention, a manager name Claudia is a Big Reason why I continue coming back. She is CONSISTENTLY gives Exceptional customer service and is very Professional and Nice. I hope she is Recognized and Rewarded for doing a Great job and working very hard at Panera. It is Great Service and Value that KEEPS Loyal customers coming back. Claudia and her team members is the reason I support and patronize Matheson's Panera over other restaurants.

I had the Mediterranean Vegetarian sandwich and broccoli cheddar soup. My last few visits, the bread was stale and soup stale. Their chips are good. I was a fan of Panera Bread in past because of their delicious bread. Not so much anymore.

Claudia is one of the nicest, most polite people I have ever met. Panera is lucky to have her as a manger. Also the food is great and I’m a big fan of their sip club!

Ordered food on 8/14/23 around 2 pm. I will never be ordering from this location again. Ordered food for 4 people to be delivered, multiple items were missing and multiple items were wrong. I also found a hair in my salad 🤢

I asked them if the chicken noodles SOUP IS CREAMING AND I DAID THATS WHAT I WANTED but when i got the soup it was like a broth! And i ask them to warm the bread so it wont be too hard but .it was so hard so i tore the hard bread off.

Clean eating area and bathroom. Ordering protocol not clear for those of us who seldom frequent Panera bread and we are from out of state. There was no greeting from staff. I asked what to do and they said to just order from the kiosk, which I did for my order of a single cup of self-service beverage. The kiosk cheerfully flashed up other things I might want to buy which I had to cancel out of and then did not say what to do next after paying with my credit card. So I asked a staff member. They said to " go down there."That is where people waited to pick up their orders. So I went to the area to pick up orders. This is where people were picking up food. I saw stacks of coffee cups and wondered if I could just grab a cup that did not want to be accused of stealing. After the preceding customer was served I asked an employee since I just ordered a cup of coffee, could I take a cup? And then they said I could. And I ran into another staff member and pointed out my confusion and they instructed me that the cups were right there and I could have gotten a cut the moment I paid. It was a needless waste of time to wait for a cup of coffee. Customers would benefit from Panera Bread giving clear instructions on their kiosk at if you are simply ordering a beverage which you serve yourself, you may take a cup and a lid and obtain your beverage. Or they could take a clue from the 20th century and simply greet the customer at the counter with a " how may I help you?" Only one sink in the bathroom.

I love coming to this location for me and daughters sip club drinks or food, the managers here Keisha and Claudia are so great to me when I come in, they speak to me, they tell how’s your day, and go the extra mile, they are running this location very well…..

Every time I ordered a salad from this location, they are always forgetting to include my salding dressing. I don't realize it until I get home. When I did an order through curb side pickup, they gave me someone else's food and the associate got an attitude when I informed her it was not my food. This location lacks management.

The salad was good and fresh, but there were a lot of onion peeling in it.

Had the family soup and bread cheese and broccoli. It was excellent but they forgot my butter

I go with my wife to this great spot often! This is the best place to to have a good dinner. I go there regularly. The meals are excellent, the team is friendly and the rates are good. I like being in this spot to have a decent supper.

Great food and convenience

After going through the whole order for pickup process, when I went to check out it said this Panera is no longer available. This was 9:30 in the morning. Drive thru was blocked off and lobby locked.

Food is delicious, but a bit overpriced. Great place to study especially during mornings.

Became a regular customer due to the coffee subscription promotion this summer. Service is excellent most of the time, with just a handful of exceptions. Overall a great experience.

So when you order a chai tea they do not put tea bags in water they use a syrup.and I was basically told while it's not real tea it just syrup

I adore this restaurant very much. there is a different spirit. The kitchen is superb. the service is powerful and the personnel is courteous. The cost is reasonable. I definitely recommend.

Extremely elegant and convenient spot. They offer generous portions and for reasonable rates. I liked the meals very much and the staff members were very affable and informative. Recommended.
