Went in after ordering a click and collect just to double check the colour of curtain in case I wanted to change it. The lady at the front desk didn’t listen and snapped at me saying if I wanted to change it I would need to call customer service. I did not even know if I wanted a change yet, I was simply just asking if what I had ordered were in store to just check the colours. Very rude and unhelpful.

Shops. And lots of them as well as loads of places to eat. Definitely going again when I next visit Auckland.

I ordered a click and collect item, which was available overnight from the Sylvia Park store that I chose online. Great staff, who were helpful and pleasant. The let-down was the physical space from which I picked up the item. For the covid-conscious client, being indoors for a 15 minute wait, in an enclosed space, which fills easily when there's a queue of customers, defeats the purpose of selecting the click and collect option online. Otherwise, I would easily have given a 5 star rating. Your staff are 5 star talent to me, so I apologise to them for the rating.

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the last two times I have been in and disgusted with the lack of care and service from the team that it had been Julie as the manager both times . When Caroline is the manger the staff aren’t clustered around talking gossip in groups they are out in the store being super helpful . Asked four team members today for help finding a product and they were so quick to pass me off to a counter ( all were full , and the members I asked for help weren’t doing anything but talking to other members in little groups ) Experience in the store when Julie is the manager the staff certainly act like they don’t need to help customers , is it a free for all ? Certainly seems like it . I would definitely recommend a review of this store because I walked out without the over $1800 worth of products( dress form , overlocker , cricut machine and fabric supplies ) I was there to buy and went to manukau where the team are always fabulous . The team at Sylvia park needs to be reminded that first and foremost they are there to guide , support and help customers . Stocking shelves , talking about your weeknd should be second .if you have a disability then definitely don’t use Sylvia park , they don’t care and will pay you no attention even when you are visibly upset

The store is a mess and it's always hard to get staff assistance unless you go to the front counter. Great range. Overall the store could do with a review.

It was almost closing time and there was hardly any staff on the ground. Understandable, but I thought it closes at 9pm on Thursday.

Went to pay for our purchase and it was going to be $1 more than the ticket price. We were told everything in the store had gone up. We had to take a picture and take it back to checkout to get the price we saw. A) a staff member should have gone not us having to trek all the across the shop and back and b) if your prices go up change the tickets the night before. For the staff member to have knowledge all the prices had gone up and tickets not changed is pretty poor. I'm sure you can be fined for this.

Great shopping centre, everything available lots and lots of shops and my fav Johnny Bigg...lots of eateries at the food court, mini golf, cinemas, bowling, laser tag can be very busy on the weekends

I was looking for Curtains a few days ago and had an incredibly welcoming experience, all thanks to June. I was standing in front of the curtains with no clue about what I wanted, and June approached me asking if I needed assistance. I felt a bit embarrassed not knowing what I was looking for, but June was extremely professional. She patiently presented various options tailored to my budget and preferences. Her recommendations were not only high-quality but also great value for money. I'm still undecided on the color, but I truly appreciate June's expertise. I highly recommend her service to anyone in search of curtains.

School project with kids to do some sewing no one really experienced so go into haberdashery at spotlight 3 ladies behind the counter after a good 5 mins waiting at counter one finally asked if we needed help the service was very poor it took us ages to navigate thru patterns to materials to accessories very little help at all was very disappointed...now if the ladies that were there did not know anything about where they are working then they should tell the customer this from the start would have been the courteous thing to do will not be taking our students back there to shop.

Went looking for curtains & rails. Spotted floor mats, which we could do with one.. but nothing was priced. Moving on to curtains, no staff in sight to offer help, so more time searching & eventually found what we needed. Took to a checkout who was unwelcoming and upon mentioning the floor mats not priced, she said take to main checkout.. curtains & rails worked well

All sorts of crafty stuff at this store. Good discounts for vip customers. Good quality items. There are bits to make jewellery, all kinds of wool, fabric if you want to sew, bedding, kitchenware, photo frames etc. They also sell sewing machines and the accessories needed. I love Spotlight. Its fun just to walk around and look.

1.5/10 customer service. The website said the yarn my wife was after was physically in stock at this store. It was not, but this is not the main issue. The 2x middle aged female staff my wife approached to discuss were dismissive, and frankly rude. They somehow had the audacity to say they would simply ‘cancel the order’ if a ‘click&collect’ option was selected, and no yarn was in stock. In lieu of solutions, they provided attitude and a generally unhelpful demeanour. Not the greatest experience and even tougher to witness.

Great selection of yarns and sewing projects. I do appreciate their range of prices that could cater for the newbies and just wanting to try new crafts to those experienced and willing to get into more pro-master projects. Can't recommend enough!

Omg this place is a crafters black hole of money ! So of course went twice and go myself sorted for some creative endeavors! Everything from organizing my art supplies, sewing kit, candle holders aka fancy gin glasses and more!

sign said '25% off curtain track sets". I tried to buy a set but got no discount. they advised it was not a set. the set I selected had (in one box) rod/track, ends, brackets, screws, gliders. i asked what ones are a set? the ones with rod/track, ends, brackets, screws and rings. ?? exactly the same but rings instead of gliders. both are complete sets, just add curtains. they would not honour it even though I showed them the sign in their store. false advertising.

It was super! They stock everything that you can dream of and much more!! I bought some lovely soft knitting yarn from them. Was most impressed by the friendliness of the staff as well!

Brilliant customer service. Customer service like this is very rear these days. The staff helped us in every aspect of our visit there and very polite and very friendly.

Love the wide range of supplies in-store. Other than the fact that I ordered something November 2022 and still haven’t gotten it, the staff seem to know the answer to any question thrown at them and don't mind giving some of their expertise if your a DIY gal like myself trying something new. Spotlight will forever be my haven ; )

Great range of product and relatively well kept shelves. Does feel a little claustrophobic with high shelves packed in tight (a mother with a pram struggled to get through while I was there).

Very disappointed with the online service. We had ordered an item to be delivered to a certain level in our building yet when completing the order, they removed the level of where our order will need to be delivered too. Majority of the these items would be claimed by others and get lost when delivered to the wrong floor. I had emailed the customer service desk immediately after purchase to make them aware of this issue and to please change the address and they replied with "no you will have to contact the courier company". I had emailed back with photo and written proof of the error on their end and for them to please contact the courier company themselves and they still replied with 'no'. Terrible customer service. Slow replies to my emails. No help. Would not order here again. Sucks that there is no other better fast retail chains out there.

It is difficult to find your way to the checkout and the exit. Good range of product, but some high signs would help for someone who is unfamiliar with the layout. Checkout operator was lovely though. Friendly.

The store in itself is great and met our expectations in terms of products. However customer service specially from Sarah at the cutting table (sorry - but not sorry to publicly shame) had a massive attitude. No greeting - no smiles. When she was asked to cut some material for us- she asked me to take scissors and cut the material myself - she she had ‘ other ‘ things to do and other customers to attend. Mind you there weren’t many customers at 9:00 a.m. on Monday.Some basic ‘be nice’ training required for us Sarah ( wait! No training required for this) Our saviour Jes then came over and helped us . Thanks spotlight Sylvia park for hiring him.

I came here to get sewing supplies because I love to craft. My boyfriend came with me and was very hungover and there was a fantastic selection of patterns I could tell him to look through to find something that doesn’t exist to keep him entertained for a while. It’s like having a toddler but whinier. Great selection and the loveliest lady who cut my fabrics. 10/10 would recommend.

I can not express this enough. Please search your item online before getting in the car ! I learnt that years ago with the new technology to be prepared never assume they will have your product. Super rude staff at the counter. I walked in with stuff I’d like to return, haven’t even got into the door, the lady at the counter stopped me while she was serving customers, she said to me that I saw you walking in with our stuff so I stopped you. Super rude and very unprofessional and makes me feel very uncomfortable.

This morning I was served by an amazing lady who was friendly, helpful, efficient and all round awesome. Thanks Andrea (on lane 9) for helping me choose a new pair of dressmaking scissors, they are amazing. You are a gem.

This review is 100% for the staff, it's super frustrating that all calls go to the call centre and you can't speak to the store directly, BUT, the floor staff that work in the store absolutely make up for the frustrating experience with the call management centre. The floor staff are very passionate, helpful and genuine. Determined to help meet customers needs. Keep up the amazing work team.

A really large range of fabric, lots of variety. The materials here can be quite expensive here so I mostly buy fabric and things that I can't find at other stores. The staff were quite helpful, and I reocmmend signing up for the vip card. You just need to give your name, email and phone number for a big discount on a lot of items. It's really nice having so much craft stuff in one store

I wouldn't have any complaints about this store if not for the older lady working on the fabric cutting counter. While she may be one of the friendliest people I've ever met, her long conversations with customers never waver no matter how long the line. I couldn't help but feel awfully sorry for the poor young girl working alongside her, frantically serving 6 customers to her one. Customer service is important, but recalibration during busy times please.
