Beautiful wedding venue, however the customer service was terrible!! I regretted paying my deposit & just worked hard to try and make the wedding a success. 1. I was basically sold a dream. Got zero value for money. After paying the deposit I got a detailed quote charging for the most ridiculous things ever, even candle holders & a mere isle carpet. 2. Had to source almost everything: sound system (not even a speaker & microphone), better chairs, better stage. Yooooh my worst nightmare. The backdrop provided was old & worn out, thank God the flowers covered some parts. 3. They helped with nothing, I was basically dumped with a venue & had to have friends assist with basics that a venue should provide. 4. The grass was not even cut. I was promised it will be cut, but nope it wasn’t. 5. I was scammed part of my breakage deposit: they wrote there are damaged spoons, forks & knifes🤣🤣 upon enquiring I was told they were missing 🤣 the jokes write themselves because why would we steal spoons & forks really. We ate & they packed away everything, we continued with our program. We did not even break a glass. They are just not honest & decent humans 🤞🏽 6. If you are a person of colour (black in particular) look elsewhere for a venue, you might feel valued & respected elsewhere 🤞🏽

I am very impressed with Umbali!! Their team Theresa and Adrian have been very Professional and pay attention to detail. They gave me undivided attention with my requests. I Highly recommend their beautiful venue for functions and for hiring decor items as well. Very reliable.

This place is not organized! I called reception and spoke to Theresa made arrangements to view a wedding vanue. She gave me date and time. When I arrived she wasn't there I was told she is in town. The vanue was not well kept the grass was not cut. A guy showed us around but had no knowledge of how much the vanue cost for hiring and could not answer my questions! Terrible service!!!
