Had the best grilled chicken sandwich ever, moist juicy and simply delicious. The hamburger was cooked to order. They have a steakhouse connected to the diner on Friday and Saturday only. If you are on the highway...Stop and eat. I will make future plans to drive near this diner so we can stop and eat.

Traveling from DFW to Illinois made a lunch stop with our two small pups. So glad there was an outdoor patio so that we could try out this 50’s diner! Service was great and the food was really good and big portions. While sipping on a Chardonnay and an IPA we split a basket of fried pickles! Happy surprise they were spears! Super crunchy coating served with house made ranch! Delicious! I had the Marilyn Salad with grilled chicken. Chicken was tender and lots of flavor. If you like more chicken than greens then this is your salad. My BF had the #3 burger - Bernie’s Cannonball BBQ Burger that was thick and perfectly cooked medium and juicy. We were so happy that the weather was cooler but the flies swarmed in when we got our food. I think if the fans were on would have helped. All in all, good food, good service and Pet Friendly!

The staff was extremely nice and fun to deal with. The chili here was pretty good and the corn bread is a yes. I had the steak fingers which is cubed steak and it was great fries and roll was ok. The okra and the sweet tea was good. I also tried the lava cake but I’m different I like my ice cream on the side it hit the spot. Definitely give this place a try good choice for dinner!

Experience tells me 50's diners are hit and miss, depending on the staff, management, atmosphere and more importantly the food! This place is a great diner! They make sure you feel welcome, attended to and everything is to your liking, a rare find these days. Ordered the chicken fried steak, hoping it wasn't a frozen knock off. Was pleasantly surprised when I got two hand breaded real steaks that were so tender the knife wasn't needed! To top it off the mashed potatoes were seasoned just like grandma did them, lots of butter and good gravy. Full up man! If your looking for real home cooking from an age when this type of meal was fixed at home with better service;-) try this place. They go above and beyond. By the way, take your phone into the bathroom, don't ask why... Someone needs to post a pick of those! They are cool!

Great variety of items. Really nice brunch menu! It is a classic greasy spoon kind of place where things are hand battered and cooked to order. Chicken fried steak is truly as good as homemade. Love the atmosphere and the service is polite and efficient. Would definitely love to come back and try more of the menu items! Be careful of ordering "off menu". Asked for strawberry compote on top of pancakes and got store bought strawberry syrup with 2 strawberries ...which isn't so terribly bad except there was a $2 added cost for it. Ack! See pic below for a visual. Over all, decor is fab and the restrooms very clean.

My youngest sister and I loved the fried green tomatoes as our appetizer.. we devoured the pulled pork sandwiches with french fries and sweet tea. The food was delicious, the service was great, and the atmosphere was fantastic 😊 The menus were entertaining with dishes named after characters from Happy Days and Andy Griffith. The entire restaurant was decorated with images of Elvis Presley and many others from days gone by... I’m so happy that we chose this amazing little restaurant for our lunch experience 📸 Lisa S. Pretty annoyed by this place. Website and menus state that breakfast is served all day. My daughter and I went there specifically for that reason. Got there and was told that on Sundays they stop serving breakfast at 12. Say what? Food was decent. My grilled cheese (pretty much the only vegetarian option on the menu) was okay. Fried pickles were more pickle than fried. I think my daughter enjoyed her meal.

First time ever had a problem. Ordered coffee, got 1/4 cup and full of grounds. Had breakfast with biscuit and gravy. Never got the biscuit and gravy. Will try again as may have been an off day. Hopefully there will be improvement. Have been stopping in there for many years.

We are on a little road trip from Dallas to Bentonville. We saw and stopped in for lunch. I tried the chicken fried steak and my wife had a burger. Well, as I remarked to my wife, the chicken fried steak was so tender, probably having been beaten by a hammer as I was taught. The breading was crisp and not overly heavy. A light ladling of excellent cream gravy over the steak and mashed potatoes was a delight. My wife said her burger was very good, but she always by the quality of the french fry. She likes crispy. She said they were very good, very crispy. The service was impeccable and tables were cleaned promptly after guests left. Hope this helps if you are on a day trip or outing and desperately looking for a good lunch. Do stop in.

The waitress was very short and I felt rude to us. She rolled her eyes when we weren't ready to order. We're from out of town and had never been there. The food was medorcre at best and when my boyfriend tried his fries they were cold. Like very cold. When we told the other waitress about our fries(put them in her hands) she walked away and went around the corner to talk to the other waitress about us. We could hear them. They both asked us if we wanted fresh fries and we told them both no, just the check. No one even apologized. I generally love diners!! This one was so disappointing

True diner experience! Excellent food and service in a friendly diner atmosphere. We had fried mushrooms, chicken fried steak, smothered ground chuck steak, and BLT. We loved everything except the green beans. Okra and fries were great! They serve beer, wine, and drinks. Our server was attentive and fun, in spite of it being a busy evening. And the prices were very reasonable! We'll be back!

We got here right after lunch rush. The two ladies working were very inviting and got to us as soon as they could. I got the Chubby checker burger with cheese and bacon fries. I love a good burger and they did not disappoint! Very flavorful and really hit the spot! Love the atmosphere and music. And again, shout out the the two ladies Rachel and Diane!!!

An interesting place. Old Diner style, but when you walk in there's also a bar. Looking at the menu they have pizza! Well don't get too excited if you're in any kind of hurry...wanted to order a pizza and was told "it's a real brick oven, so it takes about 45 minutes to an hour" I suddenly changed to the Philly sandwich which was very salty. But really though, 45 minutes to an hour? The place was pretty dead, no way the oven was full and we had to wait our turn. But it was good for a quick bite. Will try again.

Big thank you to Brenda and Rachel for their awesome service today we had a large group of 55 and these ladies (and the entire staff) made the whole dining process. Incredible! After enjoying amazing food, and a wonderful dessert we took pictures with all of the fun props around the diner. If you haven’t already, you definitely need to check them out! Thank you Angel’s Diner, we had an awesome time!!

Love this place, our go to when we’re in town. Drove 30 minutes out of the way to eat here the other day. Sister loved the theme of the restaurant. I love the food, always great! Service is always great. Brother raves about the chicken fried steak.

Wasn't my first nor will it be my last visit. However this trip wasn't great, our service wasn't very good. They were plenty friendly and once I caught someone to get some help with an issue they took care of it. This is an honest review, they struggled on this visit but have done really well in the past, and I will stop again when I'm back through there. The John Wayne Cowboy Candy is a family favorite.

My husband and I both ordered the catfish platter and boy, are we happy we did!!! The fish was cooked PERFECTLY, crispy and flavorful with big pieces. I normally give my hush puppies away, but not this time!!! They are homemade and perfectly seasoned. The only thing better than the food was the service and the outstanding people! We’re truck drivers and we can’t wait to get back this way!
