I avoid doing negative reviews and sent the following to the Wendy's contact email asking that they confirm it was received. My thinking is that a manager aware of the issues is better able to correct things. I never heard back. We thought Wendy’s would be a dependable stop. I remember my first time to have a Wendy’s burger. The year was 1979. The burger was hot, juicy, tasty, and SQUARE. I’ve used Wendy’s many times over the years after that first positive experience. My impressions on Store #10837 in McAlester, OK. 1. The grounds needed policing for trash pickup. (storefront/parking). 2. The dining area had several tables with left over fries and trash paper. 3. Men’s restroom had a hole in the wall next to the urinal about 8”x24.” If repair was in process, some indication of that would be nice, but it appeared to be something left for a while. It appeared there was water damage around the window where we ate. Caulking was separated and tiles were water-stained. 4. Our burgers were barely lukewarm. The fries were slightly warmer but not anything approaching hot. 5. The ice machine wasn’t working. We were fine with having cold Cokes without ice. The young lady who was taking orders was courteous, but listening to her repeatedly saying “We ain’t got no ice” got old. A manager might have helped her adjust that to “I’m sorry, but our ice machine isn’t working.” 6. The front was unwatched for several minutes at a time with all employees in the back. I'm sure they were working, but would think someone should be observing the dine-in customers for safety and service. Sorry for the negative comments, but I know that it’s important for a store to represent the standards of the franchise they’re associated with.

This was absolutely the most disgusting place I've ever been to. When we pulled up 2 employees were outside smoking. Then when we walked in they immediately took our order, didn't bother washing their hands. While we were waiting for our food we noticed the entire ground was sticky and there were roaches, to top it off I saw the same worker from before grab some Nuggets straight out of the warmer WITH BARE HANDS. We asked for a refund and left. That place is beyond disgusting. They deserve negative 5 stars.

Went into the restaurant at lunch time. The entire restaurant was filthy. There was only one customer ahead of me, but the amount of time it took to be waited on, seemed like a dozen customers were ahead of me. A group of ladies came in after me, and I heard them tell an employee the lady's restroom was dirty and out of toilet paper, the employee responded: "are you going to order or not?" I advised the group that I would find another place to dine if I had to do it again and they agreed with me and departed. I had already paid for my food. When my order was ready the food was cold. I was very disappointed at the level of service and sanitary conditions. I made a stop at the men's restroom on the way out, and I was shocked at what I saw. I am unsure as to how long it had been since the restroom was cleaned. The entire restaurant was a disgrace. I think that the health department would shut this place down quickly if they inspected it. Very disappointed that one of my favorite restaurant chains has a facility like this one. I will not do business with this location again.

I like to get the baconnator with no bun. Very filling carnivore go to. Juicy all beef patty.

I love the new fries, but this location really leaves a lot to be desired. Food is mediocre at best, and my most recent visits they got our order wrong and tried to tell us that we didn't order it properly?

Service was short-handed and short tempered. That may have been because the AC was off. 95 degree afternoon. It was hot. Probably the worst Wendy's experience I've had, but the food was as I've come to expect. Good stuff.

The staff was great. The girl was new. They have a lot of turn over on staff and I waited as the orders are made to order. But they do a good job and the food rocks.

I asked for fries with NO SALT, and medium frostie. I got a medium frostie that was filled 3/4 full, and fries with salt. The employees need to cook a fresh order of fries instead of redroping the fries that are already cooked. The prices are high,so I expect to get what I order. I should not have to complain to the employees either. It should be part ot their routine.

Good service, clean inside , clean bathrooms, servers clean and friendly. Toco Salad really good. Hamburgers are huge. Really great ice tea. Good parking close to door, also a drive through.

Disappointed twice in one week. First time the buger was so greasy I could have fully lube my car with it. Second time NO TOPPINGS. None at all.

I had a salad that was fresh. My partner had a very dry pretzel burger. . The restaurant was clean to include bathrooms. However the service at the counter was slow. Things could be better with food quality and service.

After leaving Denny's went to Wendy's since I couldn't finish my food that had hair in it. So much better experience with food hot and ready fast! Service better than expected from fast food. Need good food fast this Wendy's delivers.

Friendly, fast and of course the SPICY CHICKEN sandwich is so good. I drive from Eufaula to McAlester to get one 😀 The chicken nuggets are the best I've had & the chili is great!

Went to get 2 strawberry salads. They had 1 also they were out of a few others as well. They were very nice and were very shorthanded took quite a bit to even get someone to the window, I felt bad for her. She was doing triple duty.

Store was very dirty and the guy at register didn’t know what he was doing. There was 3 men working, the guy even stopped taking orders at the register so they could get some food out.

Stopped for chicken nuggets and fries and a restroom break. It is obvious this location has been there for a while. It needs a remodel. There was no soap in the dispenser in the men's room. The staff was very nice and the service was very good. Unfortunately, the fries and nuggets were not. They tasted like the frying oil was old.

Forgot almost everything after just handing back a wad of change with manager standing there when we gave them a $100 bill. Asked for forks and then had to ask for straws and the girl at the drive through rolled her eyes with manager standing right there.

I don't usually write reviews about fast food chains. This review isn't as much about Wendy's. It's about the manager Deeanna. We stopped by this Wendy's to grab a quick lunch while on a road trip, we don't live anywhere near McAllister, Oklahoma. Deeanna took our order and was friendly and helpful. We sat in the dining area and watched as Deeanna went above and beyond to make sure every customer had everything they needed. It was just so nice to see someone who truly cares and goes above and beyond. She is appreciated. We need more Deeannas in this world.

Not bad, but the music was too low to hear, the employees did not come to the counter before I had to shout 3 TIMES, and an employee was playing in the bathroom for over 6 minutes, even though he knew someone had to use it!!! I had to knock 3 times before he came out! That's outrageous!!!

Quick service. Food was hot. They got the order correct. Order was to go.

I mean it's a Wendy's. Food was good. Service was decent. Front area wasn't as clean as it could be but to be fair it was pretty busy during a lunch rush. All in all it was good.

Tried Uber. They accepted the order, then canceled 20 minutes later because (judging from the reviews), nobody works there and the people who accepted my order were ghosts. Makes sense, right? So now I'm off to try the better burgers with the MEATS! Arby's 😁

Had not tried a Wendy's in a long time but ended up with a gift card so thought I would give it a shot. Kind of the way I remembered it as so-so. Order my burger without cheese but of course got two slabs of cheese on it but overall the flavor was okay but not my favorite fast food type burger joint by far

Very friendly staff! Quick service, they actually brought our meals to us, not just once, but every time I've been in lately. Salads are good, burgers must be too, grandkids keep asking to go there. Frosty's are good too. Just the friendliness and kindness of the staff makes it nice to go back.

Food was okay. We ordered the fresh seasonal fruit and when we got home to eat saw that the container was nearly empty. Please take a look at the pics. This was just unacceptable and we won't be going back to Wendy's again. By the way this was at their Forney, Texas location.

Always use the app , I wonder do that still put season on the patties?...best chili when it comes to fast food

The staff was very friendly, which was quite refreshing. The dining room could use a little more TLC - the tables weren’t too clean and we wiped them down ourselves.

They always put too much manners on everything but other than that good fries were crispy

Wendy's was great as always Love Wendy's so very much we want a Wendy's in Atoka oklahoma that is why we have to go to McAlester and Durant Oklahoma to go to Wendy's

It seemed to be dirty...floors were slippery from grease 🤔 and they forgot my chili...employees appeared to need training in personal grooming and professional appearance.

We ordered last night via door dash. The hamburgers had almost no lettuce a a tiny tomato. It was the worst meal I’ve ever had from this Wendy’s . There’s definitely a problem with management at this location. Step it up Wendy’s Mcalester Ok!!!

We special ordered our burgers and they came out wrong. The chicken sandwich patty was so hard you couldn't bite through it because it was overcooked and left sitting for a while. It's unfortunate. We usually like Wendy's, but this one was a one and done for us.
