This is one of the last Steak 'n Shake locations in Oklahoma. The restaurant is quaint. The employees welcome you as you enter. The burgers our group had were delicious. The burger in the picture is the double bacon cheeseburger. The beef and bacon were cooked perfectly. The vegetables were fresh and flavourful. The employee who waited on our table provided good customer service. If you're in McAlester looking for a reasonably priced meal, I recommend checking out this restaurant.

Absolutely disgusting. I got two cheeseburgers that were cold, the meat & cheese looked and felt like it sat on the grill for two days straight, and the bun was so stiff that it barely moved. Ordered a side of cheese fries and BARELY a 1/4 of the fries had cheese on them. I will never eat at this place again. -10/10. Definitely don't waste your time going here because the food has probably been sitting there since the workers clocked in.

Was just stopping on my way through town, and the service was incredibly fast and helpful! I was seated immediately, and my server took my order almost as quickly. The good was ready in minutes and it was delicious! I tried the Jalapeno Crunch Steakburger at the suggestion of the server, and it went beyond my expectations! Just the right kick and bursting with flavor. I have become an immediate Steak'n'Shake fan!

My rating would be 5 stars but whomever the idiot was that decided to remove the fry seasoning from the menu, they should be removed from the corporate office. That has to be one of the dumbest moves that this Burger Restaurant could have made. I don't plan on visiting this place much anymore. I heard from a person at this location, that it has been the biggest complaint since this idiotic decision was made. Steak n Shake (4.5 stars) corporate (-5 stars) Hope this review gets more people to review and complain!!! You need to get rid of this so called decision maker!!!

Very delicious food and shakes, great service very reasonable prices compared to other places and considering everything is going up.

My favorite fast food. Cheaper than McDonald's, and the Burgers there are 10 x better then mickey D's

Friendly and fast services. Delicious food, reasonably priced. Clean restroom. A little tricky to get back on the road if you are heading south. (Need to turn left on service road to catch the stop light before getting back on Hgwy 75.)

Not a fan. The milkshake did not taste right I couldn’t drink it. I got a garlic cheese burger was not a fan had to eat just the patty. The fries tasted good though. The place was clean and the waitress was nice and attentive. That’s why I give them three stars.

I took my mother out to lunch. We ordered our food and sat down. After we were about one third thru our meal a roach ran across the table. When we complained they acted like it was no big deal. We left the food and paid the bill which should have been wrote off. She said well you did eat some food. Will never return, very rude and dirty. They also have a sign on door that says menu price may be different then real charge.

Woman taking orders in drive-thru gave inaccurate info. I asked how big a kid's shake was and she responded 16oz. I was shocked with the smaller size when she handed it to me, and I told her that was no way 16oz. She didn't apologize.

This Steak and Shake seems to be pre-cooking the burger patties. Usually you have to wait several minutes while your order cooks, I was the only car there and had 3 burgers in less than a minute, the patties were nothing like other Steak and SHAKES. Not a good experience, the order taker was nice but if I wanted pre-cooked I could go to McDs.

First, They forgot the shakes, then when I got the garlic double, it was just salty and greasy. No condiments at all, just cheese and meat on soggy bread. The place was also quite dirty. The waitress was doing her best to clean it, but otherwise, totally ignored us. Wasn't worth the price.

I'm only giving this particular location 3 stars because we frequent it often. The service we received on our last visit was horrible. The store was being ran by four teenagers who had zero f's about service or customer satisfaction. The hostess couldn't even offer an apology for getting ketchup all over my wife's white shirt after the hostess dropped a bottle of ketchup on the floor next to our table. Poor customer service won't keep business.

The food was okay... but the old lady working there was so rude. We don't eat at steak and shake often, and overheard the (sweet) hostess tell someone that if they were paying card, to take it to the register, but if they were paying cash to leave it at the table. We left our cash and tip on the table, and I went to the bathroom while my husband waited for me in the breezeway. I came out of the bathroom (that was so disgusting that I didn't use it) and she was harassing my husband about not paying (cash still on the table) so I walked to the table to grab the money and pay (mind you, we were sitting RIGHT by the register area) and this mean old lady literally yanked the money out of my hands. She was so hateful and rude. We definitely will NOT be coming back.

Not bad food for the price the wait staff is just amazing made sure my cup stayed full and my stomach

Food portions are small for the price. But we love the milkshakes especially during happy hour. My husband's favorite is half banana half strawberry

We were traveling and hungry. Food took a little longer than expected. We were the only ones who had ordered. The waiter forgot our condiments and Napkins. Food was good. My Grandson really liked the burger and car toy. Be sure and ask for the hat and car toy. They are free and you don't have to purchase a kids meal.

We were travelling through Oklahoma and stopped in for lunch today. We do not have a Steak 'n Shake near us, so when we saw this one, I was excited to give it a try. I grew up with Steak 'n Shake and love it. We received a friendly greeting and our server was friendly, but that is where the good part ends. Our burgers were way overcooked; dry and crispy. I had to catch our server while she was cleaning a table and ask for the onions that I did not get on my burger. She acknowledged me and then walked away, never to be seen again. She didn't even bother to see how everything was. I am willing to give it another try the next time we pass by and hope that everything will be much better.

When I ordered, it was wrong. The kind of burger was right, but it was made as is on the menu - but no pickles. I requested no cheese and to add certain condiments (pickles included). They offered to remake, but since I'm not allergic to anything I didn't want to waste food so simply requested the condiments as a side and scraped off what cheese I could.

Its about the only fast food burger chain that has not changed their burgers. It was a very nice and clean. Cant wait to move to McAlester, OK so we can eat there a little more often.

The prices were great. The waitress was super friendly. There was confusion on the coupons I was going to be using. This caused us to order something we didn't really want, and being charged for it, the issue was fixed at the register. My friend said it was too greasy and they didn't finish there's. I thought it tasted like steakums with freezer burn. The fries were ok. Neither of us liked our shakes. I refused to drink mine it was so bad. A 1st and a last visit for either of us ever again.

Friendly waitress excellent shakes love their cheeseburgers! Fast service you can get burger and fries for under $4.

I ordered the Garlic cheese burger and it was the messiest burger I have ever tried to eat. The Garlic butter, Garlic spread on top of the burger made it impossible to pick up without being covered in Garlic spread. I would rather leave the Garlic at the restaurant and not endure it for a long time. The fries remind me of the dry shoestring potatoes in the box and they would have been better because you can't keep 1/4" fries even warm before they hit the table. The Garlic on top of the burger with the special garlic sauce was beyond my level of Garlic. The funny part is that I started working in Restaurants in 1974 and haven't had the pleasure of putting this out to customers. I won't be back!

We stopped by on a road trip and it was so good we stopped again on our way home. Great food and service. The grilled sandwiches we ordered were perfection!

This place is always clean and I was surprised how quickly they got our to go order done. I come here because the value for what you get is excellent and the food is good. I really enjoyed the onion rings.

Ordered #1 no cheese with onion rings. Burger had cheese on it, onion rings were good. Nothing really blew me away as great. Just average.

Never been the biggest fan but it was located close to my job. And surprisingly want impressed. Thought I was gonna need a plastic bag too carry my gross home it was so greasy it nearly made a hole of grease right thru the bag.

Food was greasy and the woman at the counter was RUDE! The whole time we dined in the woman at the counter played on her phone. I ordered one small shake and 2 large shakes to go and they came to 18.00. 1st time there, didn't know they only came in one size. Menu doesn't state size or price. So I grabbed the receipt to see what I was charged, and the lady named Myrtle gave me ATTITUDE and yelled at me "I need that receipt " and ROLLED HER EYES AT ME. She only sat the receipt on the counter and never touched it until she crumbled it up and threw it in the trash. She also Yelled at me to move, claimed i was in the way of a gentleman paying. I was pressed up against the back of the seat my husband was sitting in. I asked a young girl that was working if there was a manager around, she proceeded to tell me she was the manager. I told her the woman at the counter was very rude and several times. The manager then grabbed another girl and went out back. She never came to talk to me. NEVER AGAIN WILL I COME HERE!!!!!!!

I was in with two little girls and I wanted to give a very good compliment to the server her name was Madeline. She was on her first night of work and she did fantastic she was very attentive very nice she interacted with my two kids and she was fantastic she made time for doing her job and for showing two little girls a good time. She was very friendly she was smiling the entire time while learning and it was in a big rush with many tables and she handled the situation very well cannot give her a higher praise!

Rude and unclean facility. No hair nets in the cook area despite workers with long unkept hair, flies and grease everywhere. Hostess sat us at our table and we were seemingly forgot about while others came in after us and we seated and orders taken. Waited 25 minutes and walked out. Do not recommend.

DIRTY, IMPOLITE and RUDE! Did not feel welcome. Waitress rushed the whole experience and was anything but friendly. I've had better service at a drive through Mc Donald's. My order was wrong and the manager basically dissected my sandwich at the table in front of my family. I had requested crispy bacon, but all I got was floppy bacon, both times. Oh, lets not forget the restaurant was full of flies buzzing around and dirty tables everywhere.
