Staff is very friendly and the food was brought out in a timely manner. Lillian, the waitress, did an excellent job keeping up with our drink refills and other requests.

Ordered a chicken tenders and fries. Everything else was completely fine (for Dennys standards anyways) but the chicken tenders were pink, undercooked, and/or rubbery. This has happened 3 times (across the span of maybe 6 months, give or take) Have complained every time & nothing has changed. What did I expect from Dennys anyways? Save yourself a few bucks & go get McDonalds or something.

My husband and I stopped here on our way home from Missouri on May 20, 2023. The restaurant was completely empty except for one other customer. Our server was Naomi. She was extremely helpful and friendly. Our food came quickly and excellently prepared. My only complaint about this restaurant was the booth seats need to be replaced. Would definitely stop here again.

The staff was cussing and yelling at each other. The waitress did all she could to make our meal better. For who and what she had to work with we actually felt bad for her. The food was cooked probably on a dirty grill. The plates were a mess when brought out. The waitress had to wipe one of the plates off (per our request). The pancakes were raw in the center. We left and had to go home to eat. We agreed never to eat here again. Real surprised they are even open for business. Our meal was not eaten and trashed. It's been several years since eating at a Dennys so I wasn't sure what to expect. However, the food was excellent, the service was speedy, and the prices were good. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We drove through town late afternoon. They had one waitress, 10 or more tables and we had awesome service. Everyone worked together great, our orders were out fast and well made. Best Dennys I have been in for years.

If you’re going to close at 3a.m, it’d be considerate to update your hours. Or at least put a sign on the door besides the one that says you’re only taking cash. (because their internet is down 99% of the time). I absolutely love to show up to a restaurant that’s open “24/7”, has their lights on, with locked doors and no notice for customers.

Waited for 5 minutes on hostess to seat us. Several employees walked by and didn't acknowledge us. Then Hoovers over until I pick a drink. I do not like being rushed. Came to get order and was rushing us because she had a big table. Finally got food. Pancakes were not done in middle. Moons over my hammy bread was hard as rock. Waited and waited for a drink refill before just giving up and leaving. Waited never came back after giving us our order.

Supposed to open at 6. No one in sight till 6:15. 1st manager says kitchen staff won't be there for an hour. At 7 no one in sight. A second manager pokes her head out around 7:20 when someone comes to pick up a phoned-in order. She js short and rude with me, doesn't explain if or when they'll be opening, and locks the door in my face. When a friend/regular shows up in the next few minutes, she unlocks the door to let him in, then locks the door on me. Unbelievable.

I’ve lived in McAlester my whole life and grew up eating at Dennys, however service and food has been bad for years. We kept hearing that it was under new management so we decide to check it out, they definitely didn’t disappoint. We were in on a Sunday morning after church, restaurant was very busy but we were seated and served our in a timely manner and everything was hot and fresh! We will most certainly make it one of our top choices for brunch on Sundays..

We were on our yearly trip to visit family and we always stop to eat at this Denny’s, it’s the last stop before we arrive. This year the food was the best we ever had. They got us in and out with fast and friendly service! With a new baby traveling with us this year, that was greatly appreciated. Can’t wait to see you next year! Thanks McAlester Denny’s.

I had to meet a client for a quick business lunch and the Mcalester Dennys was conveniently located right off the highway. Food was great and the service was exceptional. The manager was walking around greeting tables and making sure everyone had what they need. I landed a new client and a new business lunch meeting place!

We waited 45 minutes for our food. If your in a hurry - this is not the place to stop. The table behind us waited a long time and when they asked about their food- they were told their ticket was never turned in. So they left. The food was not exceptional but it was good. They were very short staffed. The coffee was great and someone did keep the mugs filled. Denny's in McAlester, Oklahoma

Went to Denny's on 7/23 the menu has gone down hill so bad 90% of menu are burgers which they do not have any. Ordered Nachos to find out they are out of nacho meat. So I asked for ice cream which they are out of. Why are they open no food no desert Worst dinner so far in Oklahoma which says alot cause they actually topped Pete's place as worst dinner ever!! Only thing I can say was coffee was hot! Denny's restaurant completely empty during dinner time(see photo). Now I know why. Kick in butt is wife's order came to table wrong and my sandwich had a hair in it. Last time I come to this Denny's

Stopped in for some late night munchies, and I am so glad I did! I had the best dining experience. I had the burnt end brisket sandwich and my boyfriend had a Philly omelet with pancakes, and Tony the head cook cooked everything to perfection! Along with a great waitress, Bailey!

My girlfriend and I stopped eating at this place a few months ago because she found hairs (yes, multiple) in her food. We both work a lot and usually just eat out instead of cooking at home, and it was either this or the restaurant at the casino with it being Thanksgiving. Since it had been a few months, we thought maybe things would've gotten better so we decided to try here. Big mistake. We placed a pick up order through doordash, and when we got there we told them the name 3 times and they made us wait, which we were fine with. After about an hour though we were getting a little restless, we saw multiple people with pick up orders come in and get their food no problem. Nobody bothered asking us what we were waiting for or anything, so we asked for an update on our order and we were told it was almost done. Fast forward 30 more minutes (with even more people getting their pick up orders no problem) and we were done waiting, we told them to just cancel the order. We told them what was on the order and that we were waiting for an hour and a half and the employees just played dumb until another guest spoke up and said his mom received the wrong Doordarsh order and it had exactly everything we had on our order. So they gave the food WE paid for to the wrong person. They told us our order was almost done, when in reality it was LONG gone and they didn't bother telling us. And then when we told them we wanted a refund, they told us we had to go through doordash. Even though THEY are the ones who gave our food to the wrong person. This place is an absolute clown show, I work at a hotel in town and have never/will never recommend this place to any of our guests, it should have been shut down a LONG time ago. The place was a mess and the employees are bottom of the barrel. We ended up going out to the restaurant at the casino and had a delicious hot meal served to us in under 25 minutes by wonderful people

What a joke of a restaurant. Food was cold and brought out one dish at a time. There was a dirty random tow truck driver going in our out of the back where food is prepared. Our order was wrong twice for one meal and missing sides for another meal. Such a horrible experience. Our waiter was a nice young man, but the whole dining experience was aweful and not worth one cent that we had to spend. There were only two good meals out of six.

Food was burned and over cooked. We were seated 2 hours before we got any of our meal and then waited another 30 minutes to still not receive the rest of it. Lazy cooks. People were getting served their whole meals minutes after sitting down. We were still waiting!!! Absolutely horrible and would not recommend unless they get new cooks!! The waiter and waitress were doing their best but couldn't do their jobs when they had no food to give to the customers. Will not be coming back!

Front doors was open but the interior doors to get into the restaurant was locked at 615 am. Saw the grill person look at me and continue doing what he was doing. Didn't see a manager or waitress the 15 minutes I waited for someone to open the door. Called and when the phone started ringing the cook disappeared in the back and no one answered the phone. This the second time this has happened. I'll just go to Jimmy's egg. At least the doors open and the service is nice... Never going back to this Denny's location. If I could give 0 stars I would

I would highly recommend their breakfast, we wasn't sure where to eat for breakfast and thought would we give Dennys a shot. Well to say the least our breakfast was phenomenal, and the staff was very friendly and polite. We had the t-bone steak breakfast, cooked to perfection with amazing seasonings ordered eggs over medium, and they were actually cooked over medium, which seems to be impossible most places.. also had the so pumpkin pancake breakfast, it was incredible. We will definitely be coming back here for breakfast soon!

Absolutely terrific! Our Cobb salads we're fresh and the prime rib add on was super tender and delicious. Our server was attentive and sweet. And, of course, the prices are always fair. The restaurant was clean too. All in all, a great location for a good lunch.

Short staffed is not an excuse for this location. I can understand the wait to be seated, but to have waitresses touching food up and grabbing pancakes with bare hands to move to another plate and bacon is completely uncalled for. Thankfully we seen this before we got our food so we could cancel our order and go somewhere else. We travel all over and this is by far the worst Denny’s we have been to.

So the waitress was three days new and she did her best but the service could have been a little better.. also the cleanliness is not great, floor was very dirty and tables sticky. I saw a handful of workers but only 2 we're actually working.. but on the bright side the food is always great!!

Went here around 10pm on a road trip. They weren't busy, but we did have a long wait and the waitress mixed up our order. She was the only waitress there though for the tables they had, so not really all her fault. Food was OK. Really only come here if you can't go somewhere else.

The food was delicious, however the the service could be better. The server we had was new and seemed scattered and confused. I realize this is somewhat normal for a person who is just learning. My biggest complaint is the cleanliness of the restaurant. The carpet was filthy and the tile was sticky. The bathroom needed attention also. These were things I noticed also on previous visits to this restaurant.

We love to eat at Denny's the food is great!! We have been to the one here 3 times on different occasions and every time they seem to be short staffed. I understand things happen but because of this service takes for ever and sometimes we are waiting on getting a refill of coffee. I always leave a very big tip to the waitress/waiter because they are busting their but to accommodate

This is supposed to be 3 orders of apple crisp and a strawberry cheese cake. This is the nasty mess they sent. I also had a Bourbon bacon burger it was 3 chunks of meat completely slid off the bun and thrown together. Worst service I've ever received there. $70.00 for food no one would want to eat

Miss Kimberly was our waiter she did a splendid job. We were well taken care of and our meal was excellent.
