All time favorite sushi place in McAllen, thank goodness they re-opened this week! I was missing this place. I’ve been going here since I was little and it’s where my family have been going for years. Try the Super Roll!

Food was good, the fresh tuna and salmon was delicious. Service was okay, the waitress was attentive which was nice. The only thing I can suggest is that some sort of lofi Japanese style music play in the background because the restaurant is silent which makes for an awkward environment. The restaurant has a lot of potential to draw in larger crowds.

Food was excellent and our waitress was nice and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place!

Food is fantastic but the place is clearly understaffed. A relatively simple order took over an hour to be processed and there was 1 person waiting on all the tables. The service is good, it is not the workers fault they are understaffed. Can’t give it a full 5 stars with the wait time and the understaffing.

Food was amazing. Tried the pork curry and a Philadelphia roll. Food was so good I wish I could make it at home myself. Small staff so there was some wait but the restaurant was comfortable so not a problem and in the end it was worth it.

Very chill day today. We arrived with three people, expecting a fourth. Then an unexpected fifth person came. The staff was very attentive and patient. I enjoyed a Sapporo beer, sweet tea, a sushi roll called Dragon roll and a heart atttack appetizer. All delicious. Total came out to $34.48. Good price for quality.

Definitely recommend the Bulgigi. It’s very flavorful. The teriyaki sauce was really sweet for my liking. However I think they were training new cooks this day. Service was great. Good atmosphere. We will definitely be back

This used to be such a great restaurant now I wouldn’t give this food to my dog , got the beef teriyaki and the meat smelled spoiled 🤮 we left immediately on the good side they didn’t charge me at least .

Delicious food, order something different every time. Service is good, but they should probably hire more wait staff Pricing is on the more expensive side, but the large food portions make up for it

Tokyo is not the new kid in town by any means. They were the first! I tried Sushi for the first time at Tokyo Sushi in 1999. I stopped in recently and had a delicious meal. I had a freshwater eel Nigeria, a rainbow roll and the McAllen roll. Yum!

I had seen this place many times but never got the chance to stop by. Boy was I wrong to miss out on this restaurant. I Had the Tonkatsu (Fried pork cutlet) and Dakota roll (spicy tuna). Everything was amazing and I am very much looking forward to trying something new when I return.

Great sushi Little overpriced

Wow! I rarely write a review. But my family & I had an outstanding, exceptional experience at this restaurant. Bar none, this was the BEST sushi & other Japanese style dishes outside of Japan. The service was outstanding. The restaurant was well lit (revealing its cleanliness). This is now our go-to restaurant. Thank you, staff, cooks, manager &/or owner.

The food was Sooo delicious and yummy. Just fabulous and excellent. Loved their food

This place is amazing! We got the Spicy Noodles (FYI you can add cream cheese, shrimp or anything else) it was delicious. We also got the Lexus Roll and that was super good too. Service is great! The place look kinda bad from the outside but it's nice once your inside. Very clean. Totally recommend it.

Burnt out roll was great….. Dragon roll not so much…..rice was too wet…..flavor was off Steamed rice was also too wet Squid salad was on point Hot sake was so hot it burned my fingertips, had to wait 10 minutes till it was drinkable. I would definitely give this place a second chance. Service was on point, so was presentation.

Love this place...they just opened back up...always great food and service! I love the bulgogi dinner and the California roll. Give em a try!
