Best Chinese in McAllen. Been coming here for over 25 years. I travel 40 miles just to eat at this place. Great Hunan Beef! Best Vegetable chicken soup. Awesome Egg rolls.

Amazing place. Food is always extra fresh and delicious and. Prices are reasonable. ***update. Came back. Excellent as alleged ****Very clean and safe for your whole family.

where do I begin, as soon as we walked in the smell was awful and strong, which should’ve been the first red flag, but given the benefit of the doubt we stayed. The water tasted like fountain water that they added lemon to, the soup was lukewarm, the server not attentive, and the food was worse than the water. I left the restaurant and went straight to the nearest Mcdonalds to get the taste out.

I have been coming to dine it and take out from Lotus Inn for many many years. Their to go containers are absolutely a step or 2 up from the previous flimsy carton containers..😒😒😒.. If i could sum up what describes Lotus Inn...it would be..CONSISTENCY!!👌👌👊🏻👊🏻.. Their meals never dissapoint and the price i believe is a GREAT value considering the quality of the food. Example....these 2 platters(only one shown in pics here) cost only shy of 18$. I highly recommend this place over similarly priced Chinese fast food restaurants in my area. Im stingy on giving 5 stars..but they have earned it throughout my dining in and carrying out over the years! Mike Sanchez

I ordered take out crispy duck for $18 plus tax This was the most horrible crispy duck i have had. The duck was anything but crispy, it was completely dry and it was obvious it had been cooked several hours ago and not on the spot like they said. When i called to tell them their response was like too bad. . I will never go there again.

My experience has always been great. Been coming here for years. However, the gentleman before me order chopped green onions, but told the receptionist he did not get them. She goes to the back and brings out an empty little container. Customer said he did not get a small cup. He had to bring in the food for her to check. Nope not there. Finally, the manager brings our a small cup with said onions and proceeds to check again. I am at this point pointing out to the receptionist that this should not be happening. I am sorry, but you should have just chopped up more onions no questions asked. He said that he also has been coming to Lotus for years. What happened to the customer is always right. This is terrible on customer service. You need to give the benefit of the doubt to your customers and not proceed to calling the customer a liar. Making the customer bringing his food back from the car is unacceptable in my book for this decades old restaurant.

The food was freshly made and delicious. Just the right amount of seasoning and spices and the waitress was very attentive and friendly and she paid attention to detail since the moment she started helping us.

Not a buffet place but I been coming to the McAllen location for years. This place never disappoints! Try out an order of egg rolls and a cup of hot and sour soup as a prelude to your meal! Check em out! 👍

Was in the McAllen area and was craving Asian cuisine and this restaurant did NOT disappoint. You can tell is made fresh and seasoned perfectly. Their menu is reasonably priced, especially for the quantity. The lunch portion was more than enough & we were able to take leftovers. The service was attentive & very patient. I’m also thankful they are open late till 10pm unlike many other restaurants in the area. Def will be coming back!

We always come back to this place. Great hot and sour soup. I can have just that and be happy. Can't beat the all day specials.

Went to Lotus as soon as they opened was craving beef broccoli and my wife was craving pati. The serves was amazing as soon as we sat down they took our drink order. The outside is deceiving thought the inside was going to look terrible but looked clean and well kept. When we ordered our food it didn't take long to receive it. We also ordered an appetizer of shrimp puffs which my wife said tasted good. I received an egg drop soup which was also good. When we get our main dishes they were nice and hot. My wife said she loved the taste of the pati and I also loved the beef broccoli. Over all loved our food and service here would recommend trying it if you are skeptical.

We ordered the duck and crab puffs. The duck was overcooked it almost tasted like pork carnitas and was just as oily and dry. It was also very bland, they didn't even add salt. The sauces were also bland, just overall lacking in flavor. The bao buns were alright but because the duck was dry it just wasn't a good pairing. Overall the food was not good, and our server only came by twice to check on us. While the lady that was cleaning tables was much more helpful. She refilled our waters and was very friendly and attentive. We left her a generous tip for that.

Always love eating there the food is delicious but this appetizer was supposedly to be calamari but sadly it looks like they gave me scraps of leftovers and none of them has squid besides a lot of breading. honestly that was 11$ down the drain
