I wanted to buy lunch for my friends so I went by Pollo Palenque on the expressway and Taylor Rd. In Mission. I ordered from the drive thru, I wanted breast meat and Leg meat, rice and beans, corn and flour tortillas, and salsa. I repeated the order, but this time I said white and dark meat. When I got home I opened it up and it was all thigh and drums. I immediately bagged up the chicken and headed back to the restaurant. I saw the manager when I walked in and asked him if he was indeed the manager. He said yes, so I explained the situation and showed him my receipt. . His response was the price I paid was for the leg meat combo. I rebuttaled that's not what I ordered, and that I had specifically stated "I wanted both white and dark meat". He then referred to the menu that was stapled to the bag and showed me what was given to me. He never got my point, that I wasn't concerned about the price as much as I was about getting what I wanted. He ended up giving me three pieces of chicken breast, but I had to wait another 10 minutes to get it. The chicken breast turned out to be a bit dry, and the rice overcooked. The beans were Ok, the salsa and tortillas were really good. Also, the breast were a decent size, but the thigh meat ( cut in half as two pieces) and the drums were really small. The thigh meat is super thin as it is then cut in half. Overall I wasn't to impressed.

Very disappointed, ordered from drive thru. It took them about 10 minutes to give me my order, when I get home I found out an overcooked chicken.

Really good grilled chicken but pieces can be small but made fresh, sides are really good and service is always good

Well, first of all we were in line at the drive thru waiting for our turn when a woman came and got into the line in front of us just because she wanted to. Then we decided to just go inside and order our food in there. When we got there we waited for about 10 minutes for them to take our order. Then after they finally came to us to take our order we said we wanted one pollo and he interrupted my mom by leaving to check something, when the men that was taking our order came back saying “we don’t have any pollos left because someone ordered 25 pollos so we don’t have any left” and I mean ok I get that person ordered 25 pollos but like it’s a kind of special order so why couldn’t the person ordering 25 pollos wait? Plus it’s call pollo Palenque because they do pollo why would they not have any left when they could obviously do more.

This is one of their best locations. I have visited most of them and I prefer this one. Grilled chicken has a fresh taste and is cooked to its perfection. Their sauces and steamed veggies are excellent!!! Establishment is very clean and waiters are very attentive and courteous with every customer. Prices are reasonable and highly recommend.

WORST SERVICE EVER. I went through the drive thru after I got out of work because its on my way home and as I was ordering my food everything seemed to be fine. It was until I went to the window that the lady seemed to have a problem with me. I was on the phone and ended the call so I could pay and give her my attention. When I handed over my card the lady seemed to take my card from my hand and roll her eyes at me. I didnt say anything because I thought she may be having a bad day. Then I get my food from a different lady who seemed to also have a problem with me she hands me my bag and as I am reaching for my bag of food I ask if there was chips in the bag she ignored me and didnt say anything so I check inside the bag and say ok thank you. I was still ignored and had the door slammed in my face and saw the lady walk off. I AM NEVER ONE TO COMPLAIN BUT THIS ISN'T THE FIRST TIME AT THAT LOCATION WHERE I HAVE RECEIVED BAD SERVICE THIS IS JUST THE FIRST TIME IM SAYING SOMETHING ABOUT IT. BUT I USE TO BE A REGULAR CUSTOMER BUT NOTTT ANYMORE. IF YOU WANT BAD SERVICE GO HERE.

Waited almost 30 minutes for these “chicken tenders” which tasted as bad as they look. Terrible location, drive a few more minutes and go to the one on 10th.

For a a Mexican food joint that serves chicken, they give you want you want plus more. Also thier green guac salsa is the best!

What you expect from a bbq Chicken place,nice hot freshly made chicken. Still miss the salsa bar(Update,Salsa bar is open!) but hey we are lucky to be dining in 😄

My greatest appreciation to the management and upper management team of this establishment, my wife and I had a minor issue with the cashier and a member of the kitchen staff, regarding an order we wanted that varied a slight bit from the original menu item that resulted in us leaving the restaurant without placing any order at all. I contacted the the main office and within minutes we received phone calls from both the District manager and general manager who were both super professional and genuinely concerned about our experience within their restaurant and went above and beyond to make it right ,WOW! you don't see customer service like this nowadays. Turns out it was a simple misunderstanding due to a training issue with their employees that was corrected right away, we look forward to revisiting this establishment in the future. Thank you, Carlos and Cruz you are truly awesome representatives of the Palenque organization.

Safe, Excellent food. The staff is always attentive. The food is better than others.

Ruben did an awesome job! We ordered drive-thru and I guess we forgot something else and drove away. He ended up chasing after us to give us our food. Great customer service!!!

Well the food was good but it was very difficult to eat it while it felt like a sauna inside. Is the AC broken or something? And I had to clean my own table while the employee just watched me; a lot of tables were dirty and I did not want to sit next to the window that felt really hot. The food came out at different times also and the guys were just chilling on their phones behind the counter while all the tables were still dirty. Usually like this place but today (07/10/23) they were slacking.

We have never dined in, always drive thru. Their drive thru guys are always super friendly and polite. Maybe one a bit deaf as I asked no caldo on my charro beans and they didn’t listen. BUT the chicken is the BEST grilled chicken I have had. I’m not much of a grilled chicken eater but this is the exception. Every time we get the family packs is to share with guests we have at home and they all have loved it. The rice is also one-of-a-kind, super good.

Never disappointed. Always fresh and clean. Employees are friendly.
