We Stopped at the School House Cafe and the food was delicious and the restaurant itself was nice and clean and unique!!! This is definitely a restaurant to stop at when you're driving through McGregor MN!!! I ordered the Kitchen Sink and my hubby ordered the Country Skillet, we would definitely come back if we're ever in the area!!! Yeah Buddy!!!

Sue and Yvonne took very good care of us today! This pineapple scone with coconut frosting was amazing!! (Sue doesn’t use a recipe. That’s how good she is!) Dad’s Turn to Cook was great! The only complaint was that we needed a bigger plate. 😉 The homemade sweet rye bread was so good we took a loaf home with us!

One of the best breakfasts you'll ever have! Huge portions, so we usually split an order. Rye bread is amazing. Make sure you get some bread pudding!

Had the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits and the big chunks of sausage was delicious. I make 1 trip up here every year to play a round of golf and we stop here for breakfast it never disappoints

I had the chicken salad sandwich, which was very tasty and larger than I expected. I was very envious of the breakfasts that were coming out for other customers. They looked amazing! Will definitely eat here again if I come back through this way.

Absolutely wonderful! Just when one thinks, "Really, it's bisquits and gravy with eggs. They're all the same. Then we ate here! Amazing food, great hometown atmosphere and great homestyle food. No fluff, no airs!

Seats about 30 people. Extremely generous portions. I love the fluffy pancakes, but everything on the breakfast menu was raved about! Don't leave without sharing a cinnamon roll. Ours served 6 people. Fun atmosphere with creative use of antiques. 🤩

Cute little place. You can spend some time looking around. If you have an appetite....try the bus driver. You can not go wrong. Great food and service. We will stop by again.
