Beautiful gym. But be sure to read the fine print in your contact if you sign up. The price you thought you agreed to might not be the actual amount. The advertised "lifetime lock" will not be honored. Update: I wanted to give one extra star for the appearance of the facility, but had to remove it based upon the intentional deception and fraud. I canceled after reading the contract, which was not in line with the advertisement. After 3 weeks and 2 phone calls, not only have they not refunded the original enrollment fee, but they even charged the first month's dues (which I was told were included in the enrollment) on the day I canceled. I stopped in today and they don't have any managers available at the gym.

I travel to the area from Indiana for business and I was looking for a short term weekly workout option since I have been coming here once a month for the last six years. It is understandable if you only offer daily passes. However, the front desk staff was bothered that I was inquiring and the lead was more interested in eating his energy bar. This was very disappointing as I am an executive for the company that work for and was thinking about promoting the gym to my company's wellness team for an option for our staff that work in the area if I had a good experience. Definitely this was not the case. The message I am trying to send would be to work on your customer service. Best regards, Cheryl

Stay away!! I made a simple inquiry through the gym's website and have been victim to a BARRAGE of nonstop phone calls, emails and texts ever since. These aggressive sales tactics are exactly why I WON'T be joining this gym! And especially after reading the bad reviews about people trying to cancel.....no thanks.

Plenty of machines, space and clean. The locker rooms and women’s area is great! The hours could be a longer in the evening. I’m also a fitness class person and the hours of classes are terrible. I specifically signed up for spinning and Rhythm Ride, I can’t attend any of them because they are 8 am and 5 am classes. Everything is early morning Monday - Friday. Change the class schedules! If you have a 9-5 do not sign up for the gym if you want to take classes. It’s great for those who work out on their own though.

Poorly managed, not cleaned, overpopulated. They somehow got my first review removed. Make sure to actually read people’s reviews before you join here. it’s very clear they have friends and employees leaving high reviews. Cancel both mine and my wife’s memberships with no fees and you’ll never hear from me again. But if you keep having my review deleted I’m never going to stop leaving new ones.

I am befuddled by the negative reviews. Yes, this gym requires a contract, as do many other gyms. This gym's contract is for a year, and as with any contact, you need to be asking questions that matter to you. This should not be a surprise. That out of the way, the gym is brand new with great options. It does get pretty packed on Mondays and Tuesdays evenings so if you are weight lifting, be prepared to have alternate exercises in mind those days. There are a ton of cardio machines and never had to wait for any. The locker rooms are spacious and the showers ares clean. The gym is a great value and lots of diversity across age and demographics. I enjoy the staff which always makes me feel happy to be there!

I’m surprised by the bad reviews. This gym so so clean, everything is brand new, the staff is incredibly friendly and kind. I LOVE the protein shakes! Overall it’s a fantastic gym! I love the women’s only workout area too!

STAY AWAY!!! Good luck trying to cancel your membership. The third party this place works with is the biggest headache in the world to work with. Why make canceling a membership so difficult????? I should be able to walk in and cancel right then and there. I haven't heard back from the third party company in TWO WEEKS. Edge shouldn't have a company that's handling peoples money and account information be so unreachable to get things done on there end. This third party company is scam and will take as long as possible to fulfill your request while simultaneously still take your money when your trying to stop them from billing you. Not to mention this gym is a joke. If you go during prime hours, good luck getting any equipment you want. This place is always slammed. They have okay machines but the amount of people that are in there is just unbearable at times. The place is also as dirty as can be. Mens locker room is filthy and just a complete lack of privacy. The amount of people in there taking photos of them selves while people are behind them are changing is just disgusting. All in all just stay away. Save your money and go else where.

wish I saw the reviews before signing up. Don’t let the gym fool you. It may look nice, but this gym SCAMS YOU! Bought the highest membership just so I can have the girls only room which is so stupid. The person who signed me up wasn’t even sure what he was doing or explaining what he was giving me or showing. I was told that I will pay 1 dollar now and then next month free. Yet to find out I was charged almost 50 dollars. Went to go in and tried to get my membership cancelled but the guy was giving me attitude, rolling his eyes and just kept telling me that I either have to get a medical problem or that I’m moving to be able to cancel my membership. I was NOT TOLD this when I first signed up. I was also NOT TOLD that I can cancel before one month of signing up. Please don’t sign up here. Save your money. Find a better safe, affordable, friendly gym.

I got the free gym guess pass and went to edge for the first time. The gym and it's customers are amazing one of the best gyms I have been to. However, the staff ruins the location. When I got to the gym I got checked in and got no explanation about anything and just had to explore the gym myself. The worse part came at the end where I came to the front desk and approached a group of around 6 employees. I did not know where to pick up my ID that they had so I asked them if I could have it back. I was responded to with the comment of "Can't you see that we are all busy" and a chuckle at me. This was with 6 employees just standing there chatting. I did not know that they had a membership area or membership person that had my ID because I did not talk to this person yet. Eventually I got my ID back and asked how it was. Lied and said I be back tomorrow. I will not be back to edge fitness.

Place is packed, decent equipment tho. I would give them 5 stars if the scale worked. What kind of gym doesn’t have a working scale? Update the scale is gone, and the water fountain has been broken for a week. Still no scale 2 months later. Do better

Love this gym! The staff is awesome and the gym is always so clean and well taken care of! I've been coming here since they opened and it's a great gym!

FUTURE MEMBERS: DO NOT pay for the highest membership if you are solely seeking the women's only area. They keep the door propped open 24/7 to the womens area. SAVE YOUR $20/MONTH! Get the lowest. You'll still have access. I have been coming here for a year and can confirm that it is very rarely locked.

I signed a contract for the gym and it was not explained at all leaving many problems and the contract was for a bundle which turned out to not be a bundle. It did not explain the way they charge for each person in the "bundle". When we tried to cancel our contract none of the associates knew what they were doing and the cancellation email they sent did not work and it told us they could not do anything because they couldn't find our account. We ended up having to have our bank cancel the charges in which the gym still did not notify us that it was cancelled successfully and charged us $200 out of no where. And the gym itself was overall not ideal. It is too crowded and the guys locker room has no privacy. As nice as the gym looks, the contract and amount of people is not worth the problems that you get from company.

I’ve been a member at several gyms in the area and this one has been a favorite of our families so far!! I highly recommend joining! Clean, affordable, friendly/helpful staff, classes are awesome, plenty of equipment as well as a variety, there is a cinema with workout equipment, massage chairs, tanning, and shake station— tons to offer any frequent gym visitor!! If you’re considering joining, I would visit the gym and spend the 1 week free to see if this gym works for you. People often look for something to complain about, this place does not deserve a 1 or 2 star review as some have made. See if it works for you!

Good gym, lots of equipment. Has several things that need to be improved on, though. Their hours are terrible. Especially their weekends hours. How can a gym close at 7pm on Saturdays and 6pm on Sundays?! Also, their starting process for members needs definite improvement. I wasn't even walked around or explained about their options. Their "free" fitness assessment/personal training is a huge scam to try and get you to register for personal training.

Edge is a great club. I appreciate the Edge Kids option, it gets me to the gym more days since I don't have to find a sitter or feel guilty for taking care of myself. My child can get some good exercise while I do the same. The machines are new and there is a huge variety. Classes are fun and schedule offers options for all types of lifestyles. I love the shake bar! Cookie Monster is my fave.

since many of the bad reviews are regarding the contract, I figured id explain it for others who may sign up. I worked at gyms in the past and understand the contracts and let me say that ALL GYMS HAVE SIMILAR CONTRACTS PEOPLE. it is the responsibility of the member to understand the contract before accepting it. its a year commitment with an annual service fee for equipment maintenance -once a year. when quitting, you need to give a months notice- basically once you terminate your agreement, expect to pay for one more month and then you're done. its really not super complicated other than that. all gyms have contracts like this and if they don't, you're likely paying more to have a month to month type membership where you're not stuck for a year. my sales person showed me the total I'd pay over the entire year when I signed up so it wasn't a surprise. now for my review: I left lifetime fitness after going there for roughly a year to join edge. I need a gym with childcare for mommy's daily selfcare. at lifetime I was paying $115 a month with childcare and not using many of the amenities. for edge it is like $40 a month including childcare. 10 am seems to be a good time to go where it isn't overcrowded. I like that there are a lot of squat racks and most were available when I went. I also like that there are plenty of jungle gyms with the cable attachments so that you don't have to wait. I like the turf stretching area and that it has some lighter free weights as well. there were only a few kids in the kids center when we went, which was nice. lifetime's was always super packed and my kid was always getting sick during the winter months because of how many kids were packed in there. my only complaint, and this happens regardless of where you go, is that there are some people in the strength area who hog multiple machines at once. my friend attempted to use a machine and a girl told her she was using that as she was actively doing another exercise. don't be an equipment hog especially when the gym is packed. overall happy after a few visits so far. :-)

Do not sign up here unless you’re committed to staying at this gym for the entire contract. The cancellation policy is terrible. I have tried reaching out two times to cancel and both times I called neither employee knew the contract rules and needed to transfer me over to another representative which then put me on a good 5 minute hold only to be told I have to call the abc place which don’t even get me started on trying to get a hold of them. The gym is mid. It is EXTREMELY PACKED to the point where you should never go in with the mind set of getting a machine. Lesson learned to NEVER go to a gym with a contract just screams money hungry when the amount of people in the gym definitely brings them enough money to not trap people like this. Thanks (:

Although the gym is very nice, great equipment and clean, the way that this company does business is awful. My husband and I were moved out of state and provided the required documentation to cancel our membership. The Edge actually uses a third party to handle all of their membership finances, and dealing with them is a total nightmare. They keep you on hold forever, disconnect the call, and do not reply to emails. We provided the necessary forms and they still only canceled my husband's membership, not mine. I have been making phone calls and emails for over 2 months now and they still have not canceled my membership. They transfer you to different levels of supervisors during phone calls, then tell you to email different departments as they are not authorized to make changes to your account over the phone. I feel as if I'm being held hostage and am to the point of taking legal action against them.

Certainly biased being a current employee but I’d like to share my favorite things about being someone who works out here. First and foremost the gym is ALWAYS clean, the staff as well as our members do a great job of keeping the facility spotless and communicating if something needs fixing. I’ve been a member of 6 gyms in my life and The Edge is by far the most well kept. As someone who hates doing cardio, having a whole movie theater I can use while I’m on the treadmill has been a big help for me, helps me zone out and makes the time pass super quickly. My favorite thing here though is the environment and the people. Getting to know everybody who works and works out here and receiving tons of support and smiles from them all makes this place feel like home and gives me added motivation when I’m slacking with my training. If you’ve never been to The Edge, do yourself a huge favor and come get a tour just to get a feel for the place and see if we can get you where you want to be. If you do, I’ll be happy to show you the place 😁

This is an absolutely amazing gym. It is very inclusive, too! Runners, lifters, etc. all have a place. The staff is incredibly helpful and cordial. The women being able to have their own workout space is really nice, too. Their music selection changes daily and you never know what's going to play (this is a plus for me!) so headphones are optional. The movie theater is a great place to run or walk: it doesn't even feel like exercise! And they are even very reasonably priced especially now that they are open 24 hours during the week!

The edge is amazing, such a great experience. I really enjoy the strong group fitness classes, because all the trainers are very skilled and professional. Olivia has exceeded my expectations as a trainer and taught me so much in a short amount of time.

Saw this gym grabbing some food in the area after my mediocre workout at planet fitness. Walked in and was so impressed by the layout and amount of great workout options. Gave me a great deal as a military veteran for full access. Lots of negative reviews regarding the contract but the employee was very specific on what it all says before I was locked in. I can’t remember the guys name I believe it was Ramon. Great tour and impressive facility all around. I’m excited to go everyday.

Nice gym. Equipment is top notch and there are plenty of machines for each muscle group, a ton of dumbbells, benches and a solid amount of squat racks. Love the hoist machines as well. Facility is very clean and staff is very welcoming and nice. This place does get incredibly packed between 4 - 7pm. If you don't like to lift during busy times or don't like to wait for benches or machines then do not come during those times. Nothing bad to say, for $10/mo I really can't think of a better place to work out.

I was excited to join The Edge. I experienced a very uncomfortable situation, my lock was cut off the lock i placed my items in without notification and no it wasn’t an overnight thing. When I completed my workout I went into the ladies locker room and noticed my lock gone I gathered my belongings and went to the front desk no one gave me answer as to why my lock was cut off no one call me with a follow up as to why I no longer feel that my items will safe at this facility I have went back although I’m paying every month . They won’t cancel my subscription but they can’t explain why or how my lock was cut off.. Very expensive experience. I have to pay about 99.00 dollars to cancel. Considering I haven't use that facility in 6 months. Wouldn’t recommend.

This is the best gym ever! The staff is amazing!! Devin, Zack1, Zack2, Sam, Nica, and so many others who are no longer with The Edge, are the face of this Gym! They are always so welcoming, full of smiles, kind & motivating words. I feel like part of the family whenever I come here. I trained for the Chicago Marathon at this gym. Met so many nice people too. I would highly recommend to anyone who’s looking to get fit & enjoy the company of other like minded fitness enthusiasts! 😊

We love this gym! Great price, brand new equipment with every machine imaginable, and super clean. Devin always takes absolutely phenomenal care of us. When my original personal trainer left the gym, Devin sat me down and took the time to find out what I would want out of a new trainer, what my fitness goals were, and what motivated me. The end result? He found the perfect fit for me! Additionally, Devin always goes above and beyond to let us know that he is willing to help us with anything we could possibly need, and his sincerity is obvious. Devin for President! Tracey is a truly phenomenal trainer and human being! Not only does she put me through the paces to help me achieve the best version of myself, she also texts me on off days to see how I’m feeling… I mean, who does that? She has bent over backwards to accommodate my crazy schedule and, for that, I could not be more grateful. One of my favorite parts of working with a trainer is having access to the trainer-only cage area so I don’t have trouble accessing certain pieces of equipment. Devin and Tracey are easily two of the biggest reasons we are so happy at this gym, but the rest of the staff is wonderfully friendly and kind as well. Am, Sam, and Zach never fail to greet us with a smile and warm welcome, so we begin each workout in a great mood because they really set the tone for a great visit. The cinema is such a cool feature of this gym, and I love the hydro massage bed and massage chair as well. We couldn’t be happier with our choice to join The Edge!

I joined a year ago and love this gym. I typically workout in the women's room because ai like how close everything is together (wts, kettlebell, machines, etc. as well as mirrors to watch your form. I also bring my 13 yo daughter and it's a great place for her to workout, try new things, and I don't have to worry about her being in the way of serious gym people :) I miss the towel service I had at lifetime, but the significant decrease in price and ability to bring a guest EVERY DAY definitely outweighs the towel inconvenience.

  • 2/5 Christian O. 10 months ago on Google
This place has so much potential to be great. The monthly price is more than fair (I wish I knew that I was getting locked into a contract though). If any equipment breaks, it takes forever to get fixed. It’s always crowded with massive groups of teenage kids flexing in the mirrors just taking up space that people could be using to actually work out. The sauna never gets cleaned either it smells god awful in there sometimes.

I have been coming to the edge for about half a year. This gym is super spacious and has a great atmosphere. Everyone is super welcoming including the staff like Ashton, Jared, and Lexi. If anymore is looking to start their fitness journey the edge is the place to go.

Literally one of the best gyms I’ve been to, the staff has always been super helpful. If equipment goes down they get it fixed asap and it’s super clean! They have staff that seems to be on an hourly rotation cleaning making the workout experience much better! For the parents they have an awesome little playroom thing for any of your kiddos that’s consistently supervised.
