On my way back home to Herington I stopped in and had "The ULTIMATE Chicken Sandwich" (hand breaded, deep fried topped w/ thinly sliced ham & swiss) and it's one of the best Chicken Sandwiches I've ever had in all my travels. Will definitely call this a destination restaurant.

We had driven past this restaurant many times, and finally decided to stop and check it out. We are so glad we Did! First of all, the decor is very interesting with a theme of US Hwy 56 displayed on the walls and booths. Cleanliness was evident everywhere, and prices were very reasonable. Our breakfast was amazing. The sausage has to be the best ever, the french toast (think cinnamon roll with warm caramel sauce) was incredible, the biscuits and gravy were wonderful, the eggs and hash browns were perfect. The service was efficient and friendly. Now we'll need to stop in again on a Wednesday evening for their fried chicken buffet! If you're ever driving through Galva, KS you'd be wise to stop and give the "Hwy 56 Family Restaurant" a try.

Such a perfect stop for a late lunch along our travels. The Ultimate Chicken Sandwich was delicious, according to my husband and my son. I had the HAM Burger and it was delicious!! The buns are amazing!

A friend treated my daughter and myself to breakfast. We were on our way back to Missouri. A very nice place to eat and food and service were excellent.

OUTSTANDING dinner last night. I took my mom out. My macaroni cheese burger was ridiculous. I ate half of her patty melt as well and it was equally wonderful thanks to the most flavorful bread I know of. This was our first time here. 4 minutes from the house. Look forward to trying breakfast very much. I think I’ll head over right now matter of fact.

I was in Galva for work today. Tried the Reuben and fries, it was the best! Ever! I will have to come back just to try the rest of their menu.

Best home cooking in the area. Very reasonable price. Service is great.

We were in town visiting family there and they took us to this restaurant for breakfast. We ordered and it took forever to get our food. It was a Saturday morning and noticed others getting served with their food who came in after us. Not sure if they have a call ahead ordering or not. We finally got our food and most of it was cold. One item we ordered was forgotten, but after letting the waiter know, she brought it to us. Our family frequent this restaurant all the time and was surprised how bad the service was that day. Not a good impression on our first visit there. He even complained to them about the food being cold and the response was because we were sitting under the ceiling fan. Not a good response at all.
