$241 a night and they can't even leave the A/C on for you. I stopped to get some sleep on a long trip. Got into my room and the A/C was off so it was almost 90 degrees in there. I've been in the room an hour now and it's down to 80. I sweat like crazy when I try to sleep at 80. Could have driven an hour more and gotten to a hotel that did leave the A/c on and was 1/2 the price. When I asked for a new room the front desk guy said housekeeping shuts all the the ACs off when the people checkout in the morning. On top of all that, the bed is one of the most uncomfortable hotel beds I've ever tried. The TV's are tiny and most channels don't work. No outlets near the bed to plug in a phone charger. There's a weird smell in the room like mold, which would make sense since it's hot and humid in the rooms all day. The coffee maker in the room did not work. The microwave had food remains in it. The floor in the bathroom was sticky. For $60/night in would expect this kind of hotel, but paid 4x that.

25Nov.2023 Great customer service. Check in was swift. The room was nice and well kept. The hallways are a bit dated, who is hangin’ in the hallways away. Conveniently across the street from two gas stations and a few fast food and family owned restaurants. Continental breakfast with quite a few good selections.

Our family stayed here for 1 night on our trip back to FL from PA. The overall hotel itself is new and is very obvious on the inside and the outside. However, there were a few issues in our room that were not indicative of a brand new property. The door did not have a security lock, it was broken off. The bathroom had plaster and Sheetrock that was coming off by the tub. One of the cabinets had a protective guard that was coming off. The carpet by the window had sharp staples/nails sticking out that we stepped on. The reading light by one of the beds was very loose and falling off. The smoke detector had a bright green light that would flash every 30 seconds and was very bright in the dark. Overall the beds were comfortable, the AC worked well, and the room was clean and smelled nice. We paid $168 on a Friday night and compared to the other hotels in the area it was priced decent. We would stay here again, but we hope they will address these issues in the room.

Great hotel right off I-85 perfect location when traveling best pick for the area staff should hire more housekeepers & return to full operation short staFF IS AN ISSUE, bring in more nice POSITIVE PEOPLE, DONT over-load current employees designate specific task to EACH person instead of being "all over" that's only for specific type of employee, allow & let people do what they are good at,people react better to full service, all over training is useless it's not for everyone, every separate job will be performed very well.this way.. Keep this up & this location will have 5 stars in no time " UPGRADE EVERYTHING" MARRIOT IS ALLREADY LEADING... "SOUTH HILL" SHOULD SHOW THEM "WHO'S BOSS" LIVE UP TO your NAME IT WILL BE WORTH IT IN EVERY WAY🙂 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Nice hotel. Very friendly staff. Rooms are generally good condition and clean. Need bath mats for tubs or non-slip Something at the bottom of tubs. Also, miss the cookies that they are noted for at the front desk. Free breakfast is good.

At the time I booked the suite room , it was available .Few days later got a message saying my room is not available and would like to give me a discount to change to a standard room which I agreed and the hotel made the change, however on the day of arrival the reservation desk said I am going back to my original book room. Ok, which is fine but when I got to the room, I found the bed sheets, pillows are dirty. It seems like they have not changed it. The breakfast is ok. I think they need to be more organized and be more professional.

I travel for work and stay in Marriott properties at least 50 nights/ year and have hit their top tier Bonvoy level. They should not use this room until they fix the problems. Obviously there is a roof leak. Water ran down drapes and onto the ac unit. Drapes are also yellowed due to age. Found dead cockroach in room and toilet seat broken. Hotel needs serous attention.

Overall a decent and clean hotel but had trouble with billing during a long term stay. Staff is friendly and courteous.

The front desk clerk was not good at her job, she told us we didn't have a reservation 3 times, the 4th time she finally realized she was putting the wrong info with my phone in her hand. Great place overall

Everything was good but the indoor pool was nasty! Cloudy water and stuff floating in it. The only reason we stayed here was for the pool, so it was a real bummer!

This is a nice hotel. I was driving north and I got tired. The hotel was clean, the staff was very nice, it was quiet and the room was nice.. They had a really nice breakfast. I do recommend this business.

The room was clean and staff very sweet! The bed was hard and uncomfortable. There was a mechanical hum that went on all night and disturbed our sleep. The TV is LARGE and loud!!! We couldn’t turn the volume to a low setting. For the price and quality we could have stated in a cheaper place.

My stay was great, couldn't be more happier. The staff very friendly and polite. One staff member in particular I would like to point out is Christina Mitchell, she was awesome in helping me with a situation that arise. The issue was with third party who couldn't resolve my issue, but Christina made a couple of calls and the matter was resolved. She went above and beyond her call of duty to assist me. I appreciate her and yes deserve to be recognized. Thank you!!

The people here are great and I think I met most of them. I was traveling with 2 Wheatens and they were great about it. There is a reasonable $75 pet fee. My room was interesting. I guess because I have dogs I got the room by the side exit door right between the laundry room and the public restroom. So probably not as nice as the normal rooms but not bad. Great for getting in and out fast with the pups.

Very nice hotel, with courteous, genuine service. Nice complimentary breakfast. My only problem is that there is no grip material in the bathtub. Almost fell and died. Great place, though!

Perfectly fine, albeit average and older, hotel right off I-85. It's in need of updates to the rooms (few outlets for all today's technologies, older mattresses, somewhat dated decor), but the staff is friendly and it meets the essential needs. I don't know if I'll come through this area again, but I'd stay here.

Shaun was a great help and very nice. I enjoyed my stay here and hopefully will return in the future. Pool is small, but they do have a working hot tub. Which is something that seems to be hard to find these days. 😑

Let me get this out of the way, Front desk check in representative Jordan was awesome!!!👍😉 Great problem solve and hard worker whom deserves a huge pay raise. The woman is great at what she does. She greeted us with a very warm greeting. All hotel check in representatives at other hotels should be as good as Jordan and maybe learn how to be courteous and friendly to arriving guest. Jordan had A+++ service. The room was beautiful. Bed was a bit too hard for my liking. There was some sort of blood stains on window curtains; on bottom box spring and covers near the window. Breakfast was good. The little blonde lady in charge of getting breakfast together was funny and running back and forth like crazy. She needs more workers ASAP. Lol she offered me a job. "I replied I'm a retired disabled Army Veteran. Our stay was very peaceful and relaxing. Thanks to the staff at Fairfield Inn Suites you guys are good at what you do. They All need need Pay $1.00- $3.00 raises. Hope we can return someday with the same respect and courteous as this this stay was in the nearer future. Regards, 🇺🇲Army Veteran T. M
