I’ve stayed at this hotel a few times over the past 5 years because it’s close to family and friends that I visit when I’m in town. However, it’s clear from my last visit that this hotel has gone downhill big time and it’s such a shame. Here is my review to Marriott: I am a loyal customer of Marriott, having exclusively stayed at your properties across the globe for the past five years. However, my recent experience at the AC Marriott at 95 Station Landing in Medford, MA, on October 27, 2023 was nothing short of disappointing. It is disheartening to see the way this situation was handled, which has left a sour taste in my mouth. Upon checking into the first room, I was shocked to find an unlocked air filter that was caked with dust and lint, and it wouldn't close properly. To make matters worse, I noticed peeling paint falling into the shower. After alerting the front desk of the condition of the room, I was moved to a second room, only to discover mushrooms growing in the bathroom. In a final attempt, I was given room number three, which I was told was a floor where the rooms were “usually pretty good”. However, this room was plagued with unsightly stains all over the bed and even stains dripping down the wall. What was truly astonishing was the response from the hotel staff. After sending requested pictures of these unacceptable conditions to the front desk, I was appalled that their solution was to send housekeeping to my room and hand me sheets to change the bed myself. Not only did they fail to offer a genuine apology for the filthy rooms, they also showed no initiative in helping me secure a room at the Marriott hotel across the parking lot. The woman at the front desk's indifference was the last straw as she suggested I go over there myself to check for availability, without expressing any remorse for the distressing situation. This experience was far from the level of service and quality I've come to expect from Marriott, and it has left me deeply disappointed.

This is an average hotel. It gets the job done if you are looking to just use it to sleep and grab a bite since there are some decent food options at a walking distance. I would book this hotel again if it’s under $150 to max $200. Cons- I paid $360 for a night and I expected a bit more at that price. The room doesn’t even come with glasses and when I went to ask the reception. They said they do only coffee/ paper cups and I can use that for my drink. Nothing against them since they were doing their job. I felt the hotel management approach is make more money by providing less amenities which we noticed in many things. For example there was no trash basket in the kitchen and body soap felt cheap quality.

Staying here for a week. The hotel offers housekeeping every another day, since the covid, I knew lots of hotel like this level doing this way, it doesn’t matter, as long as hotel provides the service on time, it’s fine. But! But! But! They still forgot to clean up the room even i told the clean lady and front staff on the same day morning ! When we finished a day schedule back to the room, I found my room hasn’t been cleaned. Then I went down to the front desk asking why nobody clean up my room since I told both front desk and clean lady in the morning ? got positive feedback said you are on the list, you will be fine. The front desk girl was very rude said:” it’s not my fault, what I can do now is give you two clean towels and tell ‘em to clean your room tomorrow morning!” that’s not the right attitude to fixing the problem, she put the gas on the fires! I’m not happy with the hotel staff trade the customer like that. I ask her to talk to her supervisor, she said manager isn’t here, I said I need someone come out to fix this problem. She ignored me, didn’t respond my questions. What a great Marriott staff! !! Please folks , if you have any other choices, don’t stay with AC Hotel North Boston. What you got here are not worthy price and up sad! I won’t stay here anymore! AC Hotel Boston north, You lost one loyal member! Of course I know you never care about the Marriott loyalty members at all!!!

First time stay because my usual Boston hotel was sold out last weekend. I will not be back as this hotel is way overpriced in my opinion. This is a new hotel that has lots of style but little substance. Guest rooms do not have doors but sliding frosted glass partitions which look cool but provide little privacy. Thus, turning on a bathroom light will wake up other guests. My room was not fully set-up on check-in and I had to request items 2 - 4 times before getting what my group needed. The staff was not friendly nor helpful. Breakfast is $19/person and you must pay $12/day for parking - all things you can find included at other local hotels. It is located in a newly developed area that is trying to be posh so I guess you pay for that. The only saving grace is the Starbucks only 3 minutes away.

I’ve stayed at AC hotel and it’s very clean, great location if you want to be away from the city but T-ride away too. Short Walking distance to Assembly Square for many great restaurants and shops and nice walk along Mystic River. Those who are complaining about room cleaning everyday need to learn that if you wash yourself everyday before going to bed, then there’s absolutely no need for the bedsheets to be changed everyday, nor the towels. Not because you’re staying at a hotel, you expect them to be your servants! Please have respect for the cleaning crew, front desk staff and be kind! 💕

Bartender is the worst, continually leaves the bar! Took 15 minutes to make 3 drinks!! Had to cancel order once because he took so long. Rooms are good as is location. I need to add to this first hastily written review. I was angry with how the bartender acted, treated people , and overall demeanor. IN NO WAY however does that reflect on any other staff member encountered. From front staff (Amir and Rebecca ) to housekeeping to restaurant servers Julia and unfortunately gentleman we had on Monday whose name I didn’t get. They were all very cordial ,helpful and accommodating. The bartender simply does not belong there !!!!

The hotel room and amenities are well kept and clean. However, the girl at the reception is not so welcoming or friendly. The housekeeping service is not done daily but every other day. There is a good parking near the hotel and it is at a reasonable charge of $12/day.

We requested a "feather-free" room due to allergies as we do with every stay with Marriott. Confirmed upon check-in that the room was indeed feather-free with the front desk. She stepped off of the floor with her walkie-talkie and returned a few minutes later stating that our room was all set! When we entered our room we found that there were zero pillows on the bed. Called down to the front desk and were told that engineering would bring us some pillows. After an hour went downstairs to the front desk where we were told that there were no feather-free pillows in house and so someone was going to try to get some from a different hotel or would go buy some. Over an hour later, someone knocked on our door with two pillows and asked if that would be good enough. We responded that no, it would not and that we needed four pillows. No one ever returned or acknowledged the issue. I've had better amenities sleeping on a futon at a friend's house than this hotel was able to provide for our one night stay. I find it completely unacceptable that this pillow shortage was left unresolved until after we checked in around 6:00 pm. If any member of staff had been doing their job leading up to our arrival, this wouldn't have happened.

Whenever I'm in Boston be it business or pleasure, AC hotels are my choice. Most are in great locations, close to numerous restaurants. The beds are super comfortable, the rooms are clean and quiet. On this trip it even passed the wife test. Been there many times, never disappointed.

Stayed here for two nights and it was the best hotel experience I have ever had. AC in my room worked great, and my bed was so comfortable that I bought a new mattress when I got home. I enjoyed the rainfall shower head, but it could have used a little more water pressure for my taste. The person in the room above me on my first night had heavy feet and I could hear them stomping around before I fell asleep and again in the morning. The breakfast is a little pricey at $19, but there is a great assortment of pastries, high quality deli meats, cheeses, Nutella, jellies, fresh fruit, egg dishes, cooked to order eggs and more. The staff was absolutely wonderful and I felt pampered. I was offered seconds on my eggs, coffee to take with me, and even a pastry or fruit for my drive on my last morning there. It was nice to not have to leave the hotel for breakfast. My only complaint is that the coffee is strong AF! I asked and was told it was Starbucks. If I need to stay in the North Boston area again, I will definitely stay at this hotel.

We only stayed here for one night and yet, we still left upset and frustrated. We were gone for most of the day and when we returned to go to bed we realized our ac had not been working. It was an incredibly hot weekend and sleeping without the air conditioner was proving to be unbearable. You would think they would check to make sure the AC was functioning before allowing us to check in to the room. We called the front desk and an employee came and checked it out, when it didn’t begin to work he offered to find us another (smaller) room but also would not be able to guarantee or even check beforehand that the new room’s air conditioner would work. Thankfully, it started working before we had packed up the room. In the morning, as we were checking out, we reiterated the fact that the AC’s malfunctioning had been upsetting and the front desk did not seem to care at all. They were rude and dismissive. Their reaction was uncalled for and left a bad taste in our mouths. Our friends stayed at nearby hotels for cheaper and with breakfast included, I recommend others do the same!

Rooms were solid. Rarely do hotels get my feather free room request right but they did. The location was perfect with a metro station literally next door. The best part was the breakfast. It was $21/person, but was worth it. The chia pudding that Jackie makes is delicious. Will stay here again for sure.

Great hotel and great staff. Breakfast was excellent, staff went above on beyond and offered to customize anything. I didn’t get a food and beverage credit, not sure what happened there

Very clean and comfortable hotel in a great location. Staff are very friendly and service oriented. Breakfast is delicious. Also great hotel choice to visit Boston if you have a car. Easy to access from the highway. Once there, you can safely park the car ($12+tax/night) and take public transportation, just a few minutes walk away, to visit Boston. There's also a beautiful park nearby and a walking path along Mystic River. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Boston.

Nice clean hotel with friendly staff. Convenient location. If you enjoy a quiet nights sleep, this is not the place for you. The constant rush from six lanes of traffic, (that also has a traffic light adjacent to the building) will have you awake all hours of the night. Having housekeeping knocking on the door to clean at 930am is also a nice treat. Photo is from room window

Building mask mandate. I'm fully vaccinated, have my paperwork on hand, there is no local requirement from the health dept.

Had reservations about staying at this hotel because of the unfamiliar name. However, we booked it because it was one of the least expensive hotels around. Furthermore, the past reviews and photos seemed very inviting. Well, we were not at all disappointed. The hotel is very beautiful, ultra ultra modern and super clean. The staff is great and requests are fulfilled in very few minutes. The only drawback is the pool. They have an indoor pool, but it’s very small. This hotel has my Hawk-eye seal of approval.

This hotel and the staff saved our day. The reservation we made through Capital One Travel at another hotel was cancelled and the hotel had turned into a shelter. We were never informed! We show up and have no room- nothing! AC by Marriott saved the day. They were kind, understood the situation and got us a room. It was nice and clean. Marriott saved the day and I will never book with anyone else again. EVER!

The two workers checking us in seemed irritated to have to do so. We had 4 women stay 3 nights and our room was never cleaned or restocked. When we mentioned it during checkout they said it's cause of Covid and we were told which we weren't. The breakfast is not worth the $18 a person. Wish we would have booked elsewhere

Arrived at a late night and front desk was quite cold and couldn’t bother to speak at all. No explanation of the breakfast time, no explanation of the parking rules and the fact that they would validate the ticket for you if you park in the parking structure in front of them( not until I asked). She was on a personal call while she was checking me in and she assigned me a accessible room. This particular room was pretty used and not very easy to use. ( water will spill to the floor of the bathroom as an example) Room was not very clean as well. Room was on lower floor close to traffic side, the background noise was pretty loud in this room. I asked for another room the second morning with another front desk, and it turned out there were plenty of rooms left and she found another regular one for me very quickly. It was in the other side of the building so not as loud, and it was not ADA room and was very clean. So here is the question: I did not ask for an ADA room or have put it anywhere in my reservation, why was I assigned to that room the first time? I hope this was not intentional. And if not, make sure your room selection system, whether manual or not, can avoid this type of mistakes in the future. I would not leave this comment here if it was not a branded hotel like Marriott, one would assume the personnels are more professional. I would give this hotel a 5 star if not the experience I had during check in and first night of stay.

Really clean, sleek and modern looking hotel. Thoughtfully designed in terms of outlets, small seating area in room, etc. Location is great. Staff friendly. Downsides: you could hear noise from other rooms and planes overhead in the AM. Coffee supplies in room were lacking. Overall would stay here again. Great value for a really nice room.

Had a really great experience at this hotel. It’s a modern design that felt clean and still homey. I loved the location, super easy to get to other parts of Boston. The staff was super helpful and friendly, especially Cynthia and Roy. Would definitely stay there again since the rates are also very affordable.

Awesome hotel with an awesome staff! I had a package mailed there and I ended up checking out early due to an emergency. The hotel held onto my package for me and shipped it back to my house! Awesome people working there. I really appreciate that. Clean rooms and nice, elegant lobby and the hotel is walking distance to food and shopping. Awesome experience! 😇👍🏻❤️

Comfortable, clean and quiet is the way to describe this hotel. Front desk staff could have been nicer, but overall it was a good stay. The towels in the room were ratty looking and definitely are due for replacement. The one washcloth I was provided in my room even had a tag on it that said it was a Hilton washcloth- that should be embarrassing if I was owning this hotel. My biggest irritation was the next day, I was leaving the garage and apparently the front desk didn’t validate my ticket- so the machine asked for $8….I paid the desk $12 so it might be cheaper just to park at the garage and not get it validated! I did ask for a refund since I was trapped in the garage for almost 10 minutes waiting for the hotel to get the garage company to open the gate, which the hotel happily provided.

Be aware that the breakfast is not free on weekends. It is $19 per adult and $9.50 per child. This is a very nice hotel with innovative room design. I didn’t really hear any other people in my room except for people walking above me. Nice and close to the T stop. Probably won’t stay here again because of the breakfast cost.

I come here periodically because the location is good for me, and I have to say I love this hotel. It's clean, modern, and the food is great, but what really sets it apart is the people. It all starts with Ashley de Silva, the amazing operations manager who is totally on the ball and super helpful; also Alberto the bartender (who makes a great cocktail), Katie in the kitchen and many others. Everyone is nice, accomodating and that makes for a very pleasant trip!

I booked a room for my father in law with a king bed. He's a big man, so I made sure I got a nice and comfortable room for him. It seems like the key didn't work for his room, so they gave him a different one, with two queen beds. I expected them to give him something as good as I paid for in the first place, or better... Due to the inconvenience.

I absolutely love the aesthetics and decor. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, the beds are very comfy. My only misgivings comes from the front desk service. The woman checked us in efficiently, albeit somewhat robotic, but we were tired and not feeling extremely chatty ourselves, so it was not a huge deal. Shortly afterward, I realized I had given a debit instead of credit card and did not have funds to cover the $100 incidentals hold fee. I rushed downstairs and asked to pay cash for the fee, to which she flatly said no, I told her my dilemma and she was very cold and dismissive. She seemed genuinely peeved that I had to bother her with my financial problems, and just berated me as if I were an idiot instead of trying to offer any type of solution. I provided an alternative form of payment and asked her to cancel the previous charge. The woman did so after throwing a remark about it not mattering because the fee wouldn't be cancelled for 10 days anyway. There was no apology, no empathy, no kindness. No service. Sad

I stay at this hotel on February 4th. The girl at the front desk was very nice, my room was very nice and clean. I would definitely stay her again.

I liked the hotel is clean smell good. The post said the all rooms have microwave that is a big lie my room doesn't have a microwave and the kitchen that is at the first floor they doesn't have neither a microwave. They serve a hot and delicious coffee but the milk is really cold and when you mixed the coffee with the milk or cream it turn 🥶 cold and you have to drink it liker that because they don't have microwave.

First of all, we really enjoyed the cleanliness of this hotel, which makes you feel at home. Second, the location is close to a train station and yet there is no environment noise at all. The hotel staff is extremely friendly and the part fee is very reasonable. Overall, we would like to rank this hotel excellent for any family traveling.

Checking in was kind of a pain since my husband made the reservation for me at this hotel and several other Marriott properties over a two week period. This is the only location that gave me any issues. Rooms were great and service otherwise was wonderful.

  • 3/5 Julia B. 2 years ago on Google
I was honestly really disappointed in our room here. We got a king sized bed which was not really a king size bed at all. It seemed bigger than a queen but not by much. The room had a very cold feel to it. The rug under the coffee table was stained and dirty. The mini fridge only went to 42 degrees and the light switch arrangement is comically confusing. Truly my husband and I stood there laughing trying to figure out how to light areas of the room for at least 2 mins straight. Parking was also a bit of a pain, had to park in a garage that was a little far and carry a lot of bags from there. Pros: the staff was great. I believe Bill helped us physically carry our bags up because we didn't have any other way to transport our luggage and were also carrying a baby. The rainfall shower head in the bathroom was really nice There was a water station where you could grab all you needed close to the room All and all the rooms need to be worked on otherwise this place did the job.

I had booked a deluxe king room well over a month in advance when my husband and I arrived we were informed that they "were almost filled up" so all they had left was a room with 2 smaller beds, do we want that one? I showed them that I had booked a specific room and did not want to bunk beds with my husband but they said it's per availability on the day you check in so not sure what the point of booking in advance was. Well, when we got to our room I opened the blinds on the lame room that I did not book the window was covered in mold in between the glass. That was just beyond. I did not say anything to the staff as I was over the whole experience but this is absolutely awful! Also, parking was hard to figure out as it's an odd roundabout with another hotel, so I called when outside and the teller told me "if you can find parking in the back park there if not you can park across the way (there was 2-hour parking) and if you get a ticket we will cover it" WHAT!? I don't want a ticket so we ended up finding a spot in the back, which come to find out we needed a ticket to put on our windshield to show we are allowed to park there BUT we had to come back and ask for the ticket as the teller didn't give us one even after she said that for our inconvenience of not getting the room we booked and had to settle they would cover the $12 parking. On top of that when I booked my room I paid for the package for breakfast to be included. When checking in she explained the breakfast times and she said it was $19 a person I said that it was included with what I paid and eventually another employee came over to show her that my booking on their computer said that I had already paid for it. I get it, I am sure it may seem like a minor inconvenience but it just ruins the initial excitement of being on vacation.

This was a lovely hotel option. The one thing that was outstanding about this day was the staff. Every single person was absolutely superb, courteous, warm, and professional. The breakfast looked amazing, obviously, the kitchen had taken pride in their work. The manager Vinny was very kind and accommodating to our request. The hotel is great, but there isn’t that much to do around there. The Sister hotel to this one, The Row is an incredible option. I said we were happy. The only knock is that the beds were not the most comfortable….

  • 2/5 Alex 1 year ago on Google
Location is convenient, but room was grody and malodorous. Really quite nasty for a newish hotel. I would blame it on poor construction rather than cleaning staff and would look elsewhere if possible. AC in room was worthless, the room was incredibly hot. However, staff was professional, and parking was cheap, hence the two stars. I will not be returning.

  • 5/5 Amit S. 1 year ago on Google
Very comfortable rooms, cost effective parking, about 8 mins walk from subway and a few nice and convenient restaurants right next door (within 3-5 min walk). The staff is quite helpful and eager to make your stay comfortable. The one downside is that if you plan on either driving or taking the subway to the Cambridge, BU area and such, it is NOT the most convenience locationdeapire the seemingly short distance on ‘paper’. Overall would recommend it!

Stayed here for a wedding and even with the wedding discount...and another discount I'll talk about later...this hotel wasn't worth the cost. It's generally pretty, but there were so many issues. We had major issues signing onto the WiFi network with our phones (which was a problem because we had NO Verizon cell phone service in the area), housekeeping never came to our room, the bed was too soft to get comfortable in, but the worst part was the bathroom door. It was a sliding door that just...wouldn't slide closed (it was clearly built wrong and something at the bottom was blocking it). It was unable to be fixed, so the hotel gave us a discount. That was nice, but that still meant zero privacy for going to the bathroom, so basically one of us had to leave whenever the other had to go. Just an all around bizarre experience (especially when trying to get ready to attend a wedding). I'd recommend staying somewhere a little cheaper and more put together.
