Awesome & Incredible forest area of Delhi with parks, lakes, beautiful birds, tracking paths, view points, huts, temple, benches, toilets and drinking water. Safe place with round the clock security and parking on roads. Excellent place for greenery, nature and bird lovers. Ideal for family visits and picnic during good weather or mornings & evenings. Among the top places for bird photography as there are various birds that are uncommon in residential area. Must be better in winters during migratory season.

It's a good place for a morning walk/jog. It is pet friendly too! Many people bring their dogs there for walk. Good time to go would be 6am to 9am, as it starts getting hot after that. Thankfully everyone was wearing a mask. There are two small lakes but not very exciting. A few birds can also be seen if you look around with patience.

This is my 3rd visit to this place. It can be truly called as lungs of delhi. Like jungle it's well maintained. There is water body. And a manicured park also. We had entered from aruna asif ali road. It has othEr entries also. You got the feel of jungle. Must visit.

Wonderful place to enjoy the beauty of nature. One of the largest mountains series Arawali begins from here which goes up to Gujarat. I have visited more than 20 times. I love this van.😍😍

It's like a jungle, you can see some wild animals as well. This place will be scary for some people. My advice, come visit here with your friends, family etc. You'll love the nature, there's a lake as well. The whole park is almost 4-5 km long, so you need time to roam around.

Sanjay Van is a sprawling city forest area near Vasant Kunj and Mehrauli in Delhi, India. It is spread over an area of 783 acres. It is one of the most thickly wooded areas of the city’s green lungs. The forest, which is part of the Mehrauli South Central Ridge, has undergone severe degradation in recent times with the proliferation of the Prosopis juliflora tree which is non-endemic to the Aravalli Ranges and has caused depletion of the ground water level, killing native flora and changing the natural soil characteristics of the Aravallis. Sewage water and effluent which is discharged into Sanjay Van has also affected this green belt in the Capital.

Ya so Sanjay van as its name it's a jungle a forest. Most of the parts are untouched , they remain as nature build them. Some parts are transformed into small parks, biological gardens, water treatment plant. Its too big, just too vast. I don't think one can adventure full forest in one day. Best is to divide n walk one part per day. This way your legs will say thanku to u. Most forest doesn't have a path to walk, the path we walk is naturally created. Big rocks n stones are visible n they are pain to legs. Sanjay van is part of mehrauli area which is a hilli n full of rocks. Overtime trees n plants occupied n converted this land into forest.

Full of peacocks, small streams, goats, dogs, pigs, birds, squirrels and if you might get lucky you may even with an antelope (Indian blue bull). This forest also has open air gymnasiums… Also useful place for tracking. One can practice for defence related exercises. Also people are roaming around for running on the tracks Best for cycling. One cannot explore whole jungle in one day.

A wonderful place inside Sanjay Van where one can climb up and have a great birds eye view of the forest. Qutb minar and other edges of Sanjay Van visible from here. The tower is surrounded by a well kept lawn with benches where a few people hang around doing yoga etc. You can spot peacocks and other animals if you have good eyesight or carry a pair of binoculars.

This place is a surrounded by nature and beautiful flora and fauna, you can find rabbits, snakes, different trees and many more. The only bad thing about this jungle is that its not safe after evening, here most crimes takes place after this evening hour.

it was superb, but the forest is very big. Its have 3 way to enter inside, but you may enter from Gate no3. its very nice for iuting & hang out with family. you may take your food inside & enjoy the food.

While, the ponds are dirty, and have a large amount of Algae growth, the surrounding is peaceful. You can walk for hours and there will still be places left to explore. The USP of this place will be Sanjay Van Lake, though.
