Honestly I mostly go to this place because it's close in my neighbourhood. But to be fair, the staff is terrible. I dont want to point fingers or make false allegations, but these were my experiences over the few years I have visited Cafe Capitale. The coffee is good, but the staff needs to sit together and work on their attitude. All the time its just sighing and eye rolling faces. It's really sad when you think about it, because the place itself has such a good vibe atmosphere, but it just gets dragged down by the staff...

Coffee is served with care and taste nice especially that not so many specialty coffees are around. We had freshly baked croissants at the early morning with nicely prepared coffee. Worth the visit in case the caffeine content in your blood drops to alarming refueling level :)

I used to visit this place when I was living in Brussels. Nowadays I am coming here when I am on the city for business. It is still very nice and beautiful while it has been expanded, more tables, almost double. Nevertheless, the main problem still remain. The toilet is more dirty than ever and it still smells very bad. and because I think they that need to respect the cleaning of the toilet I put three stars.

If you want to drink good coffee and enjoy chill vibe, it’s definitely a place you should visit in Brussels :) Espresso tonic was quite expensive but tasted good, barista was super friendly. Sitting outside under the sun was a blast 🌞

We recently visited Café Capitale in Brussels and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of their croissants and coffee latte. The croissants were flaky, buttery, and had a lovely crunch when bitten into. They were served warm, which added to their deliciousness. The coffee latte was also excellent, with a rich and creamy texture and a perfectly balanced coffee flavor. The barista was skilled in latte art, which added a nice touch to the presentation. The atmosphere of the cafe was cozy and welcoming, with comfortable seating and a relaxed ambiance. The staff was friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. Overall, I would highly recommend Café Capitale to anyone looking for a great coffee and pastry experience in Brussels. The croissants and coffee latte were delicious, and the atmosphere and service made for a truly enjoyable visit. I look forward to returning in the future!

Where a coffee costs a Capital. Great quality coffee but the prices are exaggerated. You spend very easily around 10 euros for a small cup of coffee. They also have special, more refined coffee beans. If you get these, a coffee can cost more than 9 euros. Take-away coffee available. Hipsters, people with laptops and tourists go there. There are tables outside to enjoy the sun. Inside they expose a few paintings from local artists. The girl that served us at the cashier was not in the mood that day, I guess. She was cold and careless. My final opinion is: go if you don’t mind spending for coffee or if you are in urgent need of caffeine, otherwise you will have to walk 5 minutes to reach better alternatives around.

Nice coffee but awful service. Not friendly guys, they clean the table by empty dry hand. Wet tissue cleaning with sanitizer would be nicer. The spoon doesn't seem to be well washed. But matcha latte is really good.

An excellent place in Brussels to enjoy a cup of coffee along with delicious pastries. The coffee is very good, and the pastries are fresh and flavorful. The cozy atmosphere and friendly service make it a perfect spot to relax and unwind.

Such a lovely coffee shop that has very refined coffee. Pâtisseries were on another level of excellence. Would recommend to anyone who wants to have a good start to their mornings ! Didn’t check if they had any vegan options so ask before coming if you have specific dietary requirements.

Coffee is simply great, milk or no milk, espresso, etc. No doubt about it. Music, design, it all fits, and makes wholesome coffee experience. You won't be dissapointed with the tea, and the cakes are really good. The only downside is the toilet in the dark, chilly, basement, and you have to go there by narrow stairs, with no light.

A very nice coffee shop. Unfortunately, the staff creates a very unfriendly atmosphere. Better to go to The Simply Natural Lab or COFFEE OR.

There's a wide variety of coffees to choose from. I tried the speciality coffees from Kenya. It took around 15 mins to prepare. Oat milk is for extra 60 cents. But it was a good experience. The place on the 1st day of the year was a bit crowded and a long queue to get your coffee. Tables outside. Pastries available. Good overall. Would come back with friends later.

Grabbed a quick flat white in between sites visits ! The place was super busy but the servers were kind enough to find me a spot. Has a nice vibe to it and the coffee was good too !

the interior of the cafe is excellent. however, it is difficult to get a seat inside. we ordered two hot chocolates (€4.5 each) but we got what in Eastern Europe is called cocoa or chocolate milk (the name should be changed or a hot chocolate should be made as it is known - for tickness) I was bothered by the fact that it was extremely cold inside yesterday and it has nothing to do with opening the door it's really cold inside, they should pay attention to the heating the music and the whole vibe are great My friend didn't want to use the toilet, it's obviously very bad, as most people write here

The atmosphere of the place is nice and the coffee apparently is (said one friend). But unfortunately I didn’t enjoy my order at all. I ordered an Iced Tea (4,30€) that was plain tea with a slice of orange, the whole together felt like drinking bad tap water. I do agree that technically « it is an iced tea » but in my opinion it was missing some sweetness and taste. My friend that ordered a croissant was very disappointed as it was obviously over priced but also burned! The staff wasn’t mean but wasn’t nice either. I wouldn’t recommend this place personally.

yes the atmosphere is not bad . chill. but i ordered the matcha latte, with oatmilk but the guy served a chai latte. maybe it could be my mistake or could be her mistake . it’s not important . mistake could happen every time. but the guy is not so kind at all. He kind of sighs and shows uncomfortable gesture. he said that I told “chai latte” with face irritated and the taste? so bad of course. I left almost all . < I’m not a picky person but maybe bc of this bad situation) I wouldn’t come here again.the last time when i came here, i spend good time so I visited again. not only I waste 4.7€ but the guy gave me bad day.

The cappuccino with oat milk was deliciously warm and creamy. I added a bit of brown cane sugar and took it to go. Pleasantly surprised by the choice of recycled cardboard lid for the take away cup!

Serious specialty-coffee shop. They have various single-origins beans from Black Potion, a roastery from Brussels, for pour-over. The cold fermented, fully washed Colombian that I tried was amazing.

This was the worst espresso of our life! We ordered a single espresso for almost 4€ and got a Glas where only the bottom was covered with a really small amount of espresso. And the tiniest espresso we got was even way too sour and not brewed correctly.

Really good service, one of the employees even spoke german. the coffee is the best i’ve had in brussels, take away and dining in is the same reasonable price. it’s an amazing atmosphere, many plants and good music. and the recordplayer is cute!

Got there pretty early this morning, there weren't many people. My friend and I ordered Espresso, filtered coffee, rice pie and canelé. Both coffee were just alright. Rice pie, okay. But the canelé was sticky and not at its best. I was expecting a bit better.

The cold drip is delicious! I like the addition of a rosemary sprig ! The toilet is a bit dirty though and afaik not accessible for e.g. wheelchair users.

Really nice pastries. However the homemade lemonade was not my cup of tea but not bad either. Lovely place to grab a cup of coffee with friends in the city center. It gets busy in the afternoon so not a place for work.

The best coffee we had in Brussels. They have their own roasted coffee and delicious croissants. We got take away lattes every day because it was so close to our hotel. Definitely recommend.

This place has become my favorite spot for capuchinos and tanning 😂 the place is cozy in the inside and you can hangout with your friends comfortably. The only thing I don’t like is the size of their coffees. 🥹 it’s bit small in comparison to the price €4.50. FYI they prefer payment on cash. ;)

Very lovely place right the center of Brussels next to the grand place 🥰 it’s such a nice chill place where you feel very cozy and nice. It’s maybe a bit expensive and small but very nice ! I will come back again 🤩 and recommend it to my friends !

Very spacious and chill and modern type of cafe. Also, pet friendly, and outside seat is available ! Inside is very stylish and best place to study and do remote or even drawing :)))

For the locals this may be standard but as a foreigner I’m greatly impressed. Sitting outside sipping on the coffee (strong and good quality),immersed in the European town aesthetic, I felt as though I was in film. As far as my love for carrot cakes go, this place did a wonderful job.

I have chance to taste rice cake in this place. This cake’s main ingredients are milk, rice and flour. While you are eating you feel rice solidity, softness of milk and crunch of pie dough. If you know “sütlaç” from Turkish cuisine, rice cake is solid and sugar free pie version of “sütlaç”. I did not love rice cake as much as “sütlaç”. “Sütlaç” is shape of puding and has rice, milk and sugar. Cafe atmosphere and location are good by the way. You can feel good with modern design of cafe.

Basically, the onky place available to havr breakfast in town during the week. Slow service, expensive goods, too easy going if you have something else to do, but taking your time. Coffee quality OK: that's why I grant 2 stars.

Slow service - baristas too busy socialising. Order chocolat chaud was actually lait froid!! No chocolate- it was just 200mls luke warm milk and I paid 4.50 euros for the wait and milk.
