    Upstate Studios is amazing - professional, fun & good vibes. I’ve done classes at a lot of studios but this is my favourite. You will sweat!

    Highly recommend this yoga studio, my favourite place to practice in Balaclava. The classes are dynamic and interesting with very welcoming and knowledgeable staff. Particularly the evening yin and with Miff is a must!

    Love this place! Such a positive and uplifting environment and you really get bang for your buck in the 45 minute sessions. I particularly love the Power Flow & Hot Pilates Strength sessions - a more cardio based take on yoga and pilates. Instructors are awesome and extremely welcoming - will definitely be continuing my journey with Upstate!

    I joined upstate on the 30 day pass, loving their classes & studio. I joined for the reformer pilates classes, which I love that every instructor has brought something different & let's you go at your own level. Would highly recommend 🫶🏼

    Love the hot yoga and mat pilates sessions at Upstate. They're always a great workout which the instructors guide you to tailor depending on your experience.

    A good hot yoga studio! Classes book out quickly so you have to get in early - the hot yoga is definitely not a beginner-style class but great for anyone who already has a bit of a grasp on yoga basics

    I bought the 30 day introductory offer and have loved every class. I find 45 minutes is perfect as I never get bored, my mind doesn't wonder and I'm really in the moment. Every class has been different depending on the teacher. As I'm a beginner the instructors modify positions in the pilates classes. My favourite class is the Yin Yoga and Sound Bath Meditation.

    Joining Upstate was my first time ever doing Pilates and after my experience there I want to continue! I felt motivated to push myself harder, more so then when doing solo work outs at the gym thanks to the amazing instructors and guidance they give!

    Amazing studio! Love both Reformer and Mat classes. Always feel like I have properly worked out. Best vibes, spotless clean. I have been going since the day they opened and a absolutely love it! Also the management is amazing. They care and they are super quickly in responding and helping you with anything. Sandra :)

    I'm doing a 30 day trial and really enjoying it. The studio a really well appointed and the instructors have all been great. Highly recommend their hot mat sessions - Hot Power Flow was awesome!

    The Hot Pilates Burn 🔥 is a great class. A terrific combination of stretching & strength which nicely complements my strength workouts at my regular gym. I would highly recommend it

    I have joined Upstate on the 30 day pass and have absolutely loved it. The reformer classes are great and really push you, all the instructors are very encouraging. I also enjoy the mindfulness/breathing at the start and end of classes. The Yin Yoga and meditation classes are also amazing, very relaxing at the end of the day.

    Great studio and challenging classes! I have tried both Mat classes and reformer pilates and both of them were great. Classes book out fast, so plan in advance!

    Classes are structured and very well run. Every instructor has different ways and methods therefore its never the same same always targeting different areas and strengths which is great. Very easy going environment also.

    First experience with a warm yoga studio. Wished I’d tried this years ago! Teachers are awesome:instructions clear, pace of classes for is good. The vibe in each class is uplifting. Love it.

    Recently joined UPSTATE Balaclava on the recommendation of friends. Best decision I made. From the minute I walked in was made to feel so welcome. Give it a go with the 1 month trial membership. Great instructors, good variety of classes at times that suit everyone

    Love the range of classes provided. This is the first time I’ve enjoyed and loved doing any type of yoga. Pilates both may and reformer are killer too. Great vibes and instructors. Couldn’t recommend more.

    Halfway through my trial month and really enjoying the Yoga classes they have here :) hot sweaty and a real workout, but also taking the time to be present and focus in the breath. The teachers are super friendly and approachable!

    Love Upstate! Instructors were all really friendly and I definitely felt the burn!! One thing to be mindful of is you need to book a fair bit in advance for the reformer classes but this is because they are so popular ☺️

    I signed up to the Balaclava studio 3 weeks ago and have loved every single class I’ve been to. I hadn’t tried reformer or hot yoga before so was skeptical about whether it would compare to the intensity of weight training - I was wrong, the classes have some amazing challenges and options for beginners to advanced. The teachers are so good and actually help you out if they see you doing something incorrectly - unlike a lot of studio/group based training facilities. Each time I visit I feel stronger, more flexible and more confident in what my body can achieve. I’m super happy I joined Upstate :)
