Is next to an amazing kids playground by the river. Is over priced. Meat pie $6.50. Nothing special. Priced weren't displayed either. Great location in the middle of town. Worth a visit as has a peaceful yet busy ambience. The council owned playground is the best feature of this bakery's location.

This is just the most lovely place to come any time of year. Located on the river side of Warrandyte, with an enormous playground that will excite any kid (let alone parents), it’s a must visit if in Warrandyte. There is a covered shelter for dining outside as well as a large area covered by large umbrellas that offer a lot of cover in the wet but still not 100% dry. Options of food are abundant with croissants, lemon tarts, donuts, pies, sausage rolls and so much more. Coffee, tea or hot chocolate available. The ‘bakery’ is a well known spot for school kids come to after school for a play and a bite to eat before heading off to swimming, Sport practice or wherever. Dogs are welcome - they are welcome anywhere in Warrandyte. Note the lovely mosaic chair made by local artisans. Plus the old water trough. Access to the river is through the archway and is only 20 metres away. Beware of snakes here in the warmer months. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Pram and stroller accessible. Good parking out the front on Yarra Street as well as a car park down below near playground which you can access via a road only a 20 metres east of the Bakery.

Good spot to get a pie and sit by the river. Nice playground nearby. Food is average and limited options. There are probably better food options nearby. Atrocious customer service. As another customer described it, 'Just mannequins standing there'. Served the fresh orange juice in a coffee cup. Weird vibes.

Visiting from Sydney. Chicken and veggie pie was AMAZING!! right spices and flavours.

Love the pies here! I have been there multiple times and never came back disappointed. Try not to bite into the pie directly as it is too hot inside and you might end up burning your mouth! 😜

Nice little bakery situated right next to a large outdoor playground. Food tasted good. There was a line to get in that moved consistently however no heating provided outside for people lining up.

Have the best pies and sausage rolls very yummy and free babycino when you buy coffee. Heating under pinic tables. Dog friendly too.

Nice selection of bakery treats, both sweet and savoury. Beautiful outdoor ambience seating close to a fun fenced playground and the Yarra River. The outdoor woodfire heater was a nice touch!

The freshly made Jam Donuts taste amazing. Great riverside location.

Always a lovely place to visit and free tomato sauce dispenser is a big win. Unfortunately the food was terrible. I’m so sorry to say that my pastie and custard tart were no good at all. Pastie was old with a yucky small amount of filling. Custard tart seemed mass produced and soggy and just tasted like chemicals with sugar. My friend also mentioned her pie was old with no filling and wasn’t impressed with it at all. A real shame how the food has gone downhill at this lovely bakery that I’ve been visiting for years.

Fantastic staff, great pastries and very good coffee. Very clean seating area and lovely rustic setting. Free ketchup dispensers are a pleasant bonus.

It would help if they displayed the prices of the cakes, etc., for customers. By the time everything goes through the register, I'm always a bit shocked by the final price. E.g. three Christmas cookies, 3 babycinos and a sausage roll for around $21 today. Babycinos are usually around $1.50, so the total cost seemed a bit excessive to me. I always feel a bit embarassed to stand there and ask how much everything costs. They don't give you a receipt either.

Look, it's not a bad place. The food is OK, the service is OK, but I expected a bit more from them. I had heard that the bakery was amazing, the pies outstanding, but whilst the pies we had were above average, I didn't see or feel anything special. The location, however, is lovely, overlooking the river and a lovely children's playground.

Great place to feed the ducks. I keep asking when they are going to do chunky pies😊 they keep promising soooooonnnnn. Coffee. Tastes of coffee and you can wander along the yarra to feed more ducks,🤗 Do go as they are super friendly and do wheat free stuff,👍
