I ordered a steak sandwich by phone order, walked to store and order was ready but I'd found my wallet was empty, my car was broken into that day and I hadn't checked wallet as it was hidden and was still there, I apologized and told her I'd have to cancel and showed her police report, she let me have it anyway. It was delicious. I came in next day to pay for it and of course got another. I would probably go there 3 times a week whenever I'm in the area. Fish is delicious. They also very helpful with advice on the area

A true delight in every way! The staff are super friendly and welcoming - you feel like you've known them for years!! A personal favourite are the delicious potato cakes (or as us Queenslanders say 'potato scallops', made to order. Definitely worth popping in to this little gem of a general store.

As a visiting bird watcher I was surprised to find the owners of this shop know a lot about birds! Helpfully set us off in the direction of a veritable bird paradise in Warneet with ice creams and drinks at the ready. Super friendly, chatty and knowledgeable, great ambassadors for the area. Thanks guys!

Always been a great little store with friendly staff. Sure is a nice spot to have lunch and a samich.

Being a former "Warneetian" and now obviously a visitor and a very regular one at that. I thoroughly enjoy the Warneet fish and chips cooked by Chris i believe. Being a well stocked store there is always an item on the shelves to take home for supper. Been a lot and have seen a lot of "people history" at the old general store. It's beautiful near the little jetty munching on fish and chips during week days and also to enjoy the tranquil setting. I hope the General store remains the same. Peace.

This shop doesn't stick to the takeaway fish and chips hours. Can't be bothered making batter for certain items. Not everything listed on the menu is available. I give up.

We have been buying the Seaford basket and have noticed it is not good as it used to be. The ladies used to cook and the seafood basket was amazing. Now it is horrible. Burnt and not good at all. We have bought the seafood basket 3 times since the ladies weren’t cooking and we won’t be buying it again. We will in the future buy from Tooradin fish n chip shop which is so much fresher and tastier!!!
