If you are wanting the best Japanese, look no further than Sushi Baby. The food is absolutely incredible and always cooked to perfection. The chef has amazing skill and takes so much pride for any item on the menu. This takeaway store is next level when it comes to Japanese in Melbourne (even better than Nobu!). I usually order the SBK chicken - you can tell that they use fresh oil to cook their chicken in as it tastes so clean and delicious. The dumpling soup is also a MUST try!! I enjoy the tempura prawn sushi as well. However, their raw seafood is just as amazing. Their mochi boys are also a yummy cheeky treat! If you are in the area or wanting a good feed of Japanese food this is the place to go. You truly pay for what you get at Sushi Baby. Ps. The staff that work there are so accommodating, polite, friendly and willing to go above and beyond for their customers. I had ordered some take away and been at a yoga class. I knew they would be closed when I finished my class, so just asked for them to leave it under my car. Instead, they waited past closing for over an hour so that I could get my meal. This is just a small example of how incredible the food and staff are at Sushi Baby xx

One of the best Japanese dining experiences I've ever had in Australia. The food was really authentic tasted amazing with every bite. The owner took time out of his busy schedule and came out to speak to us and asked how the food was during this, he was so kind, genuine and passionate about the food. At this point I knew we were in good hands and was in for a great dining experience. I can't say enough great things about this place. Everyone needs to experience this place at least once in their lives. 10/10

Ok- So... I thought you couldn't get better than another local Brighton favourite over on Church St.. This is not the right place to name that one, but if you know, you know! Yes- that joint is good... This place however- SUPERSEDES it... This is honestly the freshest, most gourmet, with the most absolute care put into it- Sushi, that I have ever had the pleasure of eating! I really hope this restaurant sticks around, and at the quality that it is currently operating at. This is definitely one of those places, where you get blown away by the quality- I honestly wasn't expecting it... It is honestly very, very good! Brightonian's and Gardenvelian's are very lucky!!!

The best sushi rolls I’ve ever had- extremely generous size filled to the brim with high quality sashimi. The sashimi platter was amazing, the most generous portions from any Japanese restaurant I’ve been to. Very happy Sushi Baby has popped up, it will be our new local Japanese restaurant! Excited to try the rest of the menu!!!!

Fresh and delicious sushi ♥️ the best in the area for sure! Also if you dine here make sure to grab their strawberry mochi, it’s out of this world!!!

Gorgeous chic and contemporary place for authentic Japanese foods. Love their pickles, beef tatake, chicken katsu and fresh sashimi scallops. Delicious!
