Daveys Bay Beach. When you think of Frankston, one of the first things that comes to mind is probably Frankston Beach front. And although it's a great place to hang out, there's an even better beach just a few kilometers away.Daveys Bay, home to Davey's Bay Yacht Club, is located just outside the Frankston CBD on Daveys Bay Road, Mount Eliza (just off the Nepean Highway). Private estates surround the beach and have exclusive access to it. There are just two public entrances and this makes it an ideal spot for those looking for privacy or just to get away from the beach crowd on a hot day. Besides the beautiful properties surrounding it, walking up to the highest point of the beach, one is also able to enjoy views of Melbourne city and the surrounding peninsula. However, there are two downsides to the beach. Rocks are plentiful and parents with little children should especially be careful of injuries, as the rocks are often slippery and hard to spot on days when the water isn't clear. Swimming is only recommended to those who are able to swim in deeper water and are confident of their skills. Secondly, since the beach is surrounded by homes, there are no shops close by and finding refreshing drinks and snacks can be tedious - so be prepared to carry along a cooler bag if you're looking to spend the whole day at the beach. From personal experience, I can say that this is one of, if not the best beach in Frankston.

One of the best run off the beach yacht clubs on the bay. The club offers excellent facilities to its members and their guests. Highly Recommended perfect place for the kids to learn to sail.

I have a membership there and the staff could not have been kinder. Sheltered wind makes it the ideal place for beginner’s sailing.

Instead of Frankston beach this is much quieter than surrounding beaches. Lots of fun and plenty of fish around.

Same area as Davies Bay. Nice spot but getting quite a few people at present.
