I really enjoyed my stay. They also accept Australian tourists which is great as some hostels don't. I checked in and the room was pretty clean considering other people were in the room (sometimes it's difficult in smaller dorms). I was in and out a lot visiting places around the city and felt comfortable being able to come and go as I pleased. The beds are pretty comfortable, although I think two blankets may be a better option (I'm not usually one to ask :) ) as the weather can be a bit cold for tourists. The rooftop and jacuzzi was great, I even payed an extra $10 to spend time before my checkout in the jacuzzi for a second time, there just isn't adequate storage near the Jacuzzi unfortunately so I didn't feel comfortable leaving my phone etc near the Jacuzzi for the 15 minute limit. I was a bit confused on check in as one staff member said I was able to store my belongings in my room and come back at 2pm and when they forgot to give me the room number and I had to come back and ask another staff member, they said they don't do that and to store it in the meeting space which is fine. :) Laundry facilities are a bit outdated, and I ended up going elsewhere to wash my belongings as the wait was a bit long. I didn't use the kitchen but it was very clean and everyone was cleaning up after themselves. Bathrooms are a little small, and it was difficult to bring belongings in to shower with as there isn't much shelving etc and I don't personally like storing my stuff on bathroom floors. There's no cost for a towel which is awesome. Overall it was a great experience and I will definitely be back.

Jorge at reception was amazing! He helped us with plenty of situations. Did a great job at helping us sort out some rates and is a good example of how to treat hospitality guests. Loving the stay. Diego was super kind as well in the kitchen.

My rating is for the single room. I stayed in both the 4-bed dorm and the single room. If I ever stay at Space Hostel again, I'd definitely choose the single room. I appreciate the staff a lot as they were very helpful, polite, and worked very hard to keep the toilets clean. Thank you! =) The location of the hostel was perfect, too. The single room was basic but adequate and comfortable. It was a fantastic upgrade after having moved from the dorm. I like that the toilets were private and clean enough. Complimentary towels were provided, but it'd be nice if slippers were made available at no cost, too. The industrial-like kitchen was amazing as I preferred to cook my own meals on some days. There were plenty to do as well - chill out at the roof, go to the gym, hang out/read/play games at the lounge.

My husband and I stayed at Space Hotel for 4 weeks altogether. The walls are paper thin, you can't talk in your own unit. We were treated very badly here, from saying we were to loud - where is the proof. Also, the building has a muskey old scent. There are so many better cheap hotels out there, so I wouldn't advise staying here. Other people are loud here and they don't even get spoken to, but why us??? The staff here were bullying us, except for 1 staff member in particular called Simon. He was amazing. Hard working, approachable and helpful. He needs to get more hours for how good he is. All the tables in the kitchen are never vacant for you to sit and have a meal and the saucepans and pans are the worst ones that I have ever used.

This was my first time staying in dorm rooms! As a 21 yr old female solo traveller, I felt very safe here! It’s very handy having your own plugs, night light, and a little shelf to keep your things. The lockers for bags are spacious, I forgot to bring my own lock but you can buy one from the hostel for $10. Personally my bags were safe without a lock though! The beds were comfy. For me, the wifi wasn’t the best and I always had to use my data. This place was such a vibe though! It has a movie room, gym, spacious kitchen, and a nice balcony area with a pretty view of the city lights. The showers were so good! Even though it was annoying when you’d walk into a bathroom and the floor was wet. But that’s alright! Lots of things nearby and you could easily walk to get to places. Would highly recommend. <3

I'm a first time solo traveller and Space Hotel was my first stop in Australia/Melbourne. It was a great first experience... People - The people were so lovely, all kind and sociable and willing to spark up a conversation. I was initially worried that I'd walk in and feel quite intimidated by everyone in the rooms but it was far from. The staff were super friendly on reception and the people I shared with were incredible too! Location - It's super central, not too far from anything. City centre was close, with access to shops, bars, restaurants, beautiful scenery and buzzing atmosphere. The State Library was my favourite! Facilities - Fab facilities - gym, rooftop terrace overlooking the city (incredible), cinema, really decent showers/bathrooms on each floor, amazing kitchen and laundry area. All-round great! I'm not a drinker at all, but maybe if you're into that sort of scene it's not BUZZING buzzing if you know what I mean, but I loved it because it was a perfect level of sociable - no annoying drunk people shouting around the building. Some of my favourite spots if you decide to book the Space Hotel: - Botanic Gardens - Melbourne City Centre Shopping - The State Library - Brunswick Street - The view of the city (do not pay $40 to go to Eureka Tower, go to the Sofitel, 35th floor instead and head to the ladies toilets! might sound off but you get the same view for free and trust me it is incredible.

I stayed at Space with Welcome to Travel. The facilities in Space are like no other hostel I've ever been to, they have a gym, big open space kitchen and rooftop with the best views in Melbourne. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the bathrooms were kept very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. I also enjoyed all the free activities they put on for guest such as the BBQ on Sundays and free fresh fruit at Reception every morning. The location is perfect to explore central Melbourne and to begin your adventure!

A great hostel. Walking distance to the CBD and near lots of local free trams. The staff was incredibly helpful, and free breakfast on Sunday was a blessing. I will look out for other space hostels in the future!

We had a great experience! Worth it! This is one of the best hotels in Melbourne for an affordable price. I highly recommend it. 👍 - Receptionists and staffs were friendly and approachable. - Queen room was spotless clean and spacious. - We enjoyed the breakfast buffet, have several options to choose from. - They have feedback forms in the room and at the pantry’s table which is great coz they focus on customer satisfaction. - Family and kid’s friendly.

I got shocked how this hostel got 4.2/5 score! Unfortunately I relied on this score and my one month experience out there was awful! The bath was not clean most of the times, poor services, do not have enough bath for each level, it was just two inside each level with plenty rooms which I had to wait every time I wanted to use that. The best and the only positive things was just the location, which is pretty close to anywhere in the CBD. If you look other options, you can find better one that this. So, if you are a person who really cares about cleaning, CONSIDER everything before your booking, if not, ignore my review ;)

The room is good enough but air conditioner did not work. Have big kitchen and clean bathroom and toilet. What I love most is the 270 degree view from the rooftop. What I don't like is they were not very serious about keep the luggage safe in the luggage room. I can easily ask to enter the luggage room and go out taking anything I want and no one cared about the tags. Therefore I did not feel confident leaving my suitcases there when going out.

Stayed for a week in May 2022 in a shared room. This is a very big hostel. Nice centralized location. Industrialized kitchen with lots of amenities and space. Unique perks like a cinema, gym, roof deck and laundry. It would make living there so nice and that's one of the problems. Because it's one of the more affordable accommodations and with amenities like this, there was a lot of older males who use this as their base while living and working in Melbourne. Unfortunately this dilutes the atmosphere and traditional vibes of a youth/visitor hostel. What I thought was surprising was all of this space and offerings yet there was not a single place one could work, read, or concentrate in a low-noise environment. Every space was loud. Work areas were loud. Always someone talking loudly on the phone, playing games on their phone or computer, or listening to music or videos without headphones. Far from ideal for nomadic workers who need a quiet environment to work. Rooms are comfortable, clean bedding, place felt secure minus some of the sketchy long-term residents, staff does a great job at cleaning the restrooms and showers.

Staying here for 8 days and we are on the 5th day and I can say that already my stay here has been amazing. For the price and what you can do here it really is worth the value. The shower has hot running water with really good water pressure which you won’t even get at a pricier 4-5 star hotel. The manager for Space Hotel is super lovely same with all the staff here! Staying here has been great as it’s close to all of the main shops and we don’t need to walk too far. If you are looking for somewhere to stay that’s affordable I could not recommend Space Hotel enough!! 💖

Really the best hostel in Melbourne if you ask me. With varying sizes of dorms available. I booked a 6 bed, and it was perfect. Beside each bed is a handy little shelf, and a stowage compartment / locker. Very clean and well kept. The rooftop is incredible! Some of the best views in town. The kitchen is large and naturally gets busy at meal times. There can be a queue. If you want the best sleep for backpackers in Melbourne this is the place to be.

I stayed at space with Welcome to Travel. It was my first hostel experience and overall it was a very positive one. I loved that the bathrooms were private and were cleaned regularly. Over my time there I stayed in dorm rooms and private rooms as I was travelling with my partner and both were comfy and clean. The staff were also friendly and let you leave luggage if you check in early. We arrived at 10am so our room wasn’t ready but we were allowed to use the facilities to freshen up after our long journey to Australia. A really great hostel to stay in if you’re a backpacker or group of friends visiting Melbourne:)

I hate leaving negative reviews but this is just ridiculous. It is stated on the door that toilets are cleaned 5 times a day when in reality it’s more like 5 times a month and I am not exaggerating. There was waterlogged toilet paper in the SHOWER for 7 days. The “cleaning in progress” sign was placed on the door twice with no change at all to the toilet paper in the shower. When I politely notified reception of the mess in the bathrooms for the third time I was met with scowls, excuses, and whispering behind my back. I was dismissed and called a karen for not wanting to shower in peoples used toilet paper. I’m sorry but it is just so unhygienic to be living in filth. And to be paying such an exorbitant amount of money for it is an extra kick in the teeth. This is the worst treatment from reception staff I have ever gotten. It became borderline bullying when my friend who was also staying here told me the things they said about me when I wasn’t around.

Best hostel in Melbourne and the BEST private rooms I've ever seen in budget accommodation anywhere in the world. Book the private ensuite with balcony - the views are amazing and the rooms are really modern - including the bathroom - which was a insane surprise for the price. Amarnath the General Manager there is super welcoming and really knows how to run a venue in these tough times - it was in superb condition. Facilities blew me away, and the location is good too. I also stayed in a single private room too when I was by myself and it was so good for what I needed. Next time I go to Melbourne I'm staying here again, no questions asked. The private ensuite with balcony rivals any budget hotel in the area (the room size, balcony size and view, and bathroom are all bigger and better). Cheers guys!

I stayed at Space with Welcome to Travel, and it was such a nice stay. Bathrooms in the hallway but private, kitchen was nice and spacious with enough places to cook, plates/cups etc. for the whole building. Also a sitting place outside for eating and the rooftop to chill at. In the room a big locker next to every bed, a nightlight and a outlet. I definitely recommend space hostel

We had a great time at Space - the rooftop is amazing, especially with the hot tub. Such great views. The hostel has really great facilities. The staff are friendly and helpful. The twin room we stayed in was really nice, if a little tired. The kitchen is massive, as is the dining area. There is also a gym. I would definitely stay here again. My only even better if is to not charge for bag storage on check out day.

Had a fantastic stay at Space Hotel to start the new year. After a rough stay in Sydney, this property was significantly better. Has a small fitness centre (could use some free weights IMO), pool on the roof, large kitchen with plenty of cooking space, and the staff are incredible. Location is superb as well. Easy to get around and the free trams and bus are accessible right nearby.

I stayed at Space with Welcome to Travel. Space was my first experience of a staying in a hostel in Australia and it did not disappoint! The dorm rooms had large lockers to store backpacks in securely and had secure locks on the doors only accessible by keycard - I felt very safe staying here. There are plenty showers/toilets on each floor that are cleaned several times a day. Space also has a gym, a lounge area, a huge kitchen space and an outdoor barbecue area with a great view. My favourite part about staying at Space was chilling on the rooftop where you can opt for a sun lounger, a picnic table with friends or relax in the hot tub! The view of the city from the rooftop at day & night is incredible! Highly recommend staying here!

I stayed at Space with Welcome to Travel. It was a great start to hostel life in Australia. With large lockers to put your bags in, and private bathrooms instead of communal. The view from the rooftop is spectacular. And honestly felt like home after staying there for over a week. If I ever go back to Melbourne I will definitely check back in there.

I cannot speak highly enough of the staff at Space Hotel. Every single staff member, regardless of his/her role, was friendly, supportive, flexible, kind, thorough and efficient. We were there for ten days as volunteer chaperones for students from an indigenous community in the middle of the Tanami Desert. It was a massive once-in-a-lifetime experience for them and the Space Hotel was a great haven and base at the end of every very busy day. Part of my role was catering for the group for lunch and dinner and I found the kitchen well equipped for that.

If you are ok with hostel accommodation this place is perfect. Shared bathrooms and no fridge in room (as per usual hosetels) the integrated spaces (lounge, gym, kitchen, movie space, spa and rooftop) were all awesome! The location is great. Short walk to all your needs or tram. The staff were so helpful and lovely. Will stay again.

I stayed at the Space Hotel with Welcome To Travel & loved every minute. The facilities at Space our great. A large kitchen with plenty of room, a movie room, a large gym, a lounge space & even a hot tub. The rooms are extremely clean with enough space. The whole hostel was social and incredibly clean! The staff were super friendly and always happy to help! We enjoyed it so much we booked to stay for a further 10 days while we stayed in Melbourne before moving on! Highly recommend Space to anyone!

Jo was lovely and helped to assist our needs. We were exhausted and looking for a place to check in early for a sleep. Luckily a room was available for our stay. We had a lovely time and enjoyed the friendly customer service from all staff. Be careful with the drainage on the outside balconies as I did roll my ankle where it dips.

+ Staff great Facilities top notch Easy to organise any trips from here Decent location short walk from CBD Lovely rooftop space with the odd social event Shelf with chargers and locker with hangers next to bed - Kitchen gets busy at peak time and you’re better off going early or late. Gas stoves are an odd choice, conduction makes a bit more sense. Gym doesn’t have rubber mats so gotta be gentle with weights. No privacy in room, have to hang towel up. Could do with basics like oil, butter or spices in the kitchen. Was just salt and pepper. Could also do with a basic cereal and toast breakfast to get people up and chatting in the morning and not just Sunday. Cinema could do with movie names and times, if I missed this then maybe putting it up next to that outside TV makes more sense. Light next to my bed had the option of on or strobe. Very good hostel all in all. Price seems a bit steep given other options but haven’t stayed anywhere else yet to compare

I stayed at Space with Welcome to Travel. After just finishing a 24 hour travel day, space made my very first hostel check in super easy. The receptionist at the time acted super interested in mine and others travels, asking questions while also getting me checked in. I was in a 6 bed dorm along with other welcome to travellers, so we all got on well and had no issues. The bathrooms are kept pretty clean, as well as all common areas. I especially loved hanging out on the rooftop area when I needed a minute to call home or just socialize with others :)

The staff is always helpful and super friendly. I was surprised that the bathrooms and facilities are so clean. The kitchen is great to work in. This surpassed my expectations considering this is partly a hostel. So grab a drink and meet some new people on the rooftop.

I stayed at Space for three months from April-July 2023 and would highly recommend staying there whilst in Melbourne. It is very sociable and I made lots of new friends. The facilities are also great, including comfortable beds with a light and plug sockets, a large locker, free towels and great communal facilities including a large kitchen, TV room, lounge space and a rooftop with a fantastic view of the city. The location is great too, right in the centre of the city on the free tram route. The staff were always very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Kathy and Hugh for forwarding a parcel to my next location that arrived after I left Melbourne.

I stayed at Space with Welcome to Travel, and it was for sure a great hostel to start my time in Victoria with! It is SO clean, and the rooms are very nice. Great kitchen space and nice rooftop patios for lounging, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. The location is also very central, making it easy to walk to anywhere in the Melbourne CBD.

I stayed at Space with Welcome to Travel and had a great experience. This hostel has so many amenities like the gym, cinema room and rooftop with a hot tub!! It’s definitely up there with the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at! There are so many opportunities to make friends too with there being so many social spaces. Everything was clean, modern and well looked after, which made for a lovely stay. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Melbourne. Perfect location on the edge of the free tram zone and right in the city centre. Close to Aldi and Woolies. Amazing hostel!

I stayed at Space hotel for the first time 10 years ago, and it was also my first hostel experience in Melbourne. I have to say, they have maintained their high standards and even improved over the years. The staff members were all very friendly and supportive, making my stay much more enjoyable. I booked a single room and loved every minute of it. In fact, I extended my stay every time. The bedrooms were spacious with ample wardrobe space, and the shared bathrooms were regularly cleaned. There was a large kitchen with plenty of room, a movie room, a gym, a lounge area, and a rooftop with a fantastic view of the city. I highly recommend Space Hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Melbourne.

I stayed at space hotel with welcome to travel. The rooms are amazing and the overall culture is great, especially for backpackers a great way to connect with new people. I stayed at space with welcome to travel, and booked in a few extra nights. It is a really clean and safe hostel, with a rooftop with a hot tub, cinema and gym so perfect for socialising! They give out free bbqs on Saturdays and breakfast on Sundays. The showers/bathrooms were cleaned 5 times a day and was never a problem with availability at any time of day. Will stay here again 😊

Loved this place. This is how a hostel should be. Our private twin room was comfortable and well furnished - even a tv. Communal facilities were top-notch - commercial standard kitchen, fitness room, and roof terrace among them. Great location on the edge of the CBD.

Location is good, just take the tram from southern cross (fr airport) to melbourne central and a short walk. Reception is okay (could be a touch friendlier, but still acceptable). Level 5 (kitchen) is normally filled by some party people. Free breakfast on sundays. Luggage storage costs $10 per bag per day. Bathrooms are cleaned regularly and you have the shower and toilet in one room which is good.

As a first-time hostel user, Space was the perfect place for me to have gone. The location is perfect for touring the city; shared rooms have a large locker, outlets, sheets, and towels; lots of well-kept amenities like kitchens, showers, workout space, laundry, and roof deck; and the staff is super knowledgeable and helpful about recommendations for the city (or if you're like me and they lend you their phone for an hour to call the airline when they cancelled my flight for the next morning)!!

  • 3/5 Katie Le M. 5 months ago on Google
The location was great, very central to the CBD. The rooms were nice and clean but easy to be woken up if you're a light sleeper because there's nothing to cover the bed from the light whenever the door is opened. There was very limited social aspect of this hostel and also construction on my floor so there was no hot water all day. Overall it was an alright hostel for the one night that I stayed but definitely have had better experiences elsewhere

Room was spacious. Each bed was equipped with 1 personal light, 2 outlets and 1 small shelf for your key and stuff. However, the clothes rack was too high for a short girl like me so it was totally useless. There were plenty of bathrooms on each floor, all were kept clean. The location was perfect.

Perfect Spot for when you are in Melbourne. Imagine having breakfast with amazing city views on the kitchen balcony or sun bathing on the roof followed by a dip in the hot tub. Then going out for a stroll in the city and coming back to cooking pizza in the kitchen and then enjoying it in the cinema watching a classic on Foxtel. That was our day at Space. Thank you to all the amazing Space staff, you are the best!!

We booked during a special offer so got a bargain price. Simon was super friendly and helpful! We were upgraded to a family room and enjoyed the shared kitchen and balcony areas. Great location with all amenities. Would recommend! Only downside was occasionally the WiFi would go down but still a great experience overall :)

I stayed at space with welcome to travel and it was the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in. The check in and out was smooth. Bedrooms was a great size with a large wardrobe space. Clean bathrooms. The kitchen was a perfect size to cook dinners and mingle and to top it off, the hot tub at the top 👌🏼 when I’m back in Melbourne again, I’ll be definitely staying here. Also free fruit at reception was also a bonus. We did a week tour here but there was always something planned each night at space hostel. ALSO! One last thing. This hostel included a gym, so if you wanted to pump a bit of iron you can do 😉 Thanks again! See you next time Space! Xx

Possibly the comfiest dorm-beds I've stayed in, in Australia. Spacious rooms with large lockers, and decent air con, even a towel was included which everywhere else charges for. Loads of different areas or 'spaces' (I see what they did there) - gym, cinema, lounge, office area, outdoor rooftop. Superb hotel/hostel hybrid!

Don't book here guys poor quality service disrespectful staff. Rooms have bed bugs on 7th floor air-conditioning NEVER WORKS! Neither does alarm clocks. Place is like a frat house on weekends so good luck sleeping lol

The rooms are really not cozy and there isn‘t truly a communal space to relax, but the fitness room is really nice and the rooftop as well as the terrace around the kitchen area are phenomenal😍at least around the time I was there, the prices were absolutely reasonable Edit: There are some communal spaces, but I found non of them to be very inviting to linger/relax/meet other travelers :-)

Think of this place like an upscale hostel. The rooms were nice and the bathrooms were clean. Hot water was present. The kitchen could use an extra fridge and freezer. Great front desk staff. Only complaint was the impossibly slow elevator. Perhaps the slowest in the world. Wifi was perfect. Would stay again.

First hostel I stayed in Melbourne and loved it. The overall vibe here is very friendly & easy to talk to people. The staff are really helpful and the rooms are pretty decent. The toilets offer privacy which is really appreciated and even with the club, you can get a good night sleep. Def will stay here again!

I stayed at Space with Welcome to Travel. We received discounted prices on weekly rates and baggage storage which was amazing for a backpacker like myself. In the hostel itself the rooms were air conditioned and the kitchen facilities were excellent and the Hotel staff were always helpful, 24/7.

I stayed at Space with Welcome to Travel which I highly recommend it meant I shared rooms with people I was going on daily trips with helping to build relationships. Space itself was also very nice with daily cleaning and convenient facilities. There is more than your average hostel like the cinema room which is 24/7 so I could watch F1 at 5am! The room was great. Big lockers for each bed and under bed space too. The beds were also solid so they didn't rock around with every movement of the person on the other bunk.

I stayed back in February and beginning of March the rooms are really nice. There is a place to plug in your phone charger that's close to your bed. If you need to change your room because of being uncomfortable around a guest the receptionist will help you change your room and make your stay even better! My favourite part of the space hotel is their rooftop! And the Space Hotel have really nice share bathrooms too that are clean! There are nice seating areas witg tables inside of Space Hotel when you walk in! I was able to meet amazing and kind people when my room was changed! I am looking forward to when I stay at Space Hotel in the future! I love the fresh paint job Space Hotel has! The employees are so helpful I had the best time! I posted the rooftop and bedroom Space Hotel photos and Space Hotel building photo I had taken! Melbourne wasn't the same when I left Space in the beginning of March I would have definitely stayed at Space longer if I could have! I am trying to save to go back to Space Hostel!

I stayed at Space with Welcome to Travel and it was the perfect place to start my Australian trip. It was very social, clean and in a perfect location. My suitcase didn't get put on my flight and the staff at Space were so helpful and supportive, letting me use their phone to call the airline and offering advice. The gym was an added bonus which I enjoyed too.

I stayed at Space with Welcome to Travel and loved it! The rooms and bathrooms are clean and the staff are really friendly. They have a great Rooftop with amazing sunset views, a cinema room a lounges and more. Definitely recommend Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Each bunk had it's own shelf, plug and light took.

Amazing location. Roof top view is great. Rooms were good. But the bathrooms... yikes. Always seemed to be occupied and always always dirty. I know they try their best but geez people - clean up after yourself. More on each floor would be helpful too.

A typical downtown hostel; centrally located, busy, and with little personal touch. One highlight is definitely the rooftop with its great views of the Melbourne skyline. The rooms are clean, but don’t have windows that open. Unfortunately the AC is a bit weak so that the air in (my room at least) was never particularly good.

Such a great hostel! Super friendly staff, amazing views from the skytop deck and hot tub! The rooms are all of a decent size, we had both private and shared dorm rooms which were all clean + tidy! Free towels given as well which is really nice! Huge kitchen too! Feels like a hotel despite being a hostel vibe! Really recommend☺️

Space Hotel is a great hostel to stay in in Melbourne! It is centrally located near Victoria State Library and Melbourne Central, and has easy access to public transport. The hotel is clean and the rooms are large and comfortable. The kitchen is kept clean at all times of the day. The rooftop and kitchen balcony are amazing!

My stay was perfect! Was there for a week and a half and I enjoyed it so much! It’s an easygoing place with much things to do. It was clean, lot of bathrooms, my room had enough space, but I need to say, the room of a friend of mine was much smaller with the same amount of beds. But for me it was totally cool. You can ask all the staff for help and it is a very good spot to meet other people!

Space hostel is definitely the best hostel you can stay in Melbourne and has such good vibes. The location is very central. It's very clean and you have good facilities. Also the kitchen you have good facilities and get cleaned often. The people who work in the hostel are very friendly and you get good vibes from them. big credits to Lisa who is very lovely and definitely a perfect member for the team.

Love this place! Staff are super friendly, every space is incredibly clean and the communal spaces are huge with plenty of room especially in the kitchens. The rooftop is the real highlight, with views of the city and it's always a great vibe. Plus it's located within the heart of Melbourne with access to everything you need.

This place is excellent. Best hostel I have ever been and good hotel with great view in the centre of the city if you want a private room. The bathrooms are cleaned all the time and they are private. The reception staff is lovely and absolutely outstanding. Utterly recommended!!

Space Hotel is somewhere I always end up coming back to when I am in Melbourne. The staff are friendly and helpful. Nice and clean in the rooms and generally around the area. Also the dorms (co-living) have massive lockers which is great for when I'm out for the day. But the best part is definitely the rooftop view looking over the city. Would highly recommend.

I stayed at Space with Welcome to Travel and it was a perfect start to Melbourne. The rooms are comfortable with hug lockers which is great for longer stays. It was also great to have all the amenities such as the huge kitchen and gym - great money savers when arriving as a backpacker. Space is a very clean hostel and in walking distance to anything you want to get to centrally. Would definitely recommend!

I recently stayed at a hostel and had a fantastic experience! The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, I would like to mention George for her great help and talent. The facilities were clean and well-maintained. I met some great fellow travelers during my stay, and the communal spaces provided the perfect atmosphere for socializing and getting to know each other. Additionally, the location was excellent and allowed for easy access to all of the nearby attractions. Overall, I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone looking for an affordable and enjoyable travel experience..

I stayed at Space with Welcome to Travel and had a great stay, rooms are very clean, social spaces and kitchen are great and I particularly liked the roof terrace, especially when it's sunny. For staying in Australia for the first time it was a great place to be. The rooms were very spacious and people are so friendly. Bathroom facilities were fine, plenty around the hotel so could easily get one in busy times during the day. Also had many communal areas so was a great way to meet people as a solo backpacker. Location is super close to central and can easily get to and from places outside of the CBD. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Plus FREE breakfast on Sundays!! So overall experience at Space was fantastic :)
