Disgusting experience this afternoon, second visit here, whilst seated today, poured a water from their free bottle, to which a spider was floating from the bottle into cup, having brought this to the young staffs attention no Apologese, after that filth i was hesitant to order, awaiting any staff thereafter, i had seen the young guy picking a hair from a dish returned. Walked out with my elderly father, Never going back. Very disappointing as the food on the first visit was nice! This was Disgusting! I will be calling the Food and safety department guaranteed.

Looked around Main Street and kept coming back to Lunar Dumpling Bar it just looked neat, tidy and clean the staff were very easy going, I had my youngest with me and we were pressed for time. We ordered two simple dishes the special fried rice and spring rolls (quick and easy) they came out in under five minutes very impressive!!! I had a tap Asahi Japanese Beer it was icy cold, fresh and quite superb. Food was very good much better than I expected which when it happens is always a great thing, makes eating very enjoyable. Highly reccomend this place it ticks all the boxes, prices I thought were also much lower than expected. Its well run and staff are warm and friendly👌⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Incredible food! Fast service, delicious food and great portions! What more could you want? This lovely family friendly restaurant is situation in the heart of Mornington Main Street. Great selection of dumplings and other famous Asian dishes. Will definitely be back with my family!

Let’s start with the best part. The Pork and Prawn Siu mai $14.9. This was worth the money 🤤. But the Prawn and pork Potstickers overpriced and couldn’t taste the pork or prawn. The Nasi Goreng was not authentic and swimming in oil 🤮. We did go down the road the next day to Fortune Kitchen payed the same price as the potstickers and got 10 pan fried dumplings where you could see the prawns and taste the pork.

Outstanding. Dumpling Bar is a bit too modest. It’s actually a good sized cafe/restaurant with a wide range of very good dishes. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. We will definitely be back.

Portion small Price, not cheap and not too expensive Food has a very nice quality, taste good . Don’t expect it is a cheap cheap Chinese restaurant, It is a bar service with some nice and good quality Asian food. 100% recommend this place

Best Asian food we have had in a long time. No idea how this place only has 4.3 stars. It was fantastic. Straight 5/5 from us. Highly recommend plus many options for vegetarians. The noodle soup was amazing.

One of my absolute favourites. Always delicious, and the service is always fast and friendly. I am a dumpling fiend, and these are among the best!

We love Lunar! The food is always sensational, can get a bit busy but the staff always do their best to accommodate. A good variety of vegetarian dishes aswell which my partner is stoked about! I highly reccomend the chilli Wontons, and the coconut curry soup!

Would stick to the dumplings - the pork dumplings and chilli wontons were good. But as far as Chinese food goes, the mains e.g hor fun + Hokkien mee were rather lacking - the taste was one dimensional, portions were small for the price charged. The fried rice was also a little disappointing! But staff was friendly, decor was tasteful and the place was clean and neat!

Probably a 3.5 really… Food was ok. The veggie dumpling were nice, the rest was just ok. Fairly expensive for dumplings, and serves were small. The “special fried rice” was $29 which was too much for the serving size and “non specialness”. The place is alway busy. Maybe they see soMething that we didn’t ..

Lovely little dumpling bar got my attention on a busy Saturday at Main Street, Mornington. It is quite pricey compared to what we can get in Melbourne however the amount of stuffing you get in the dumplings is equivalent. The spicy wontons could have served in a better way as the broke everytime you scoop due to stuck on the plate after steaming. Taste great tho! Will I come back again during my next visit to Mornington? Maybe.

All items are good however most of the time, service is good but slow, bookings recommended fridays and saturdays as walk ups have been turned away due to capacity

Lunar Dumpling Bar in Main Street Mornington has excellent food & service. If you want quality food & service, this is the place to be. My compliments to the Chef & staff. 5 stars were given for food quality, presentation, taste & the staff excelled in the customer service. I will definately be coming back again.

A super nice place with awesome food. The dumplings were great. The Ramane was different but nice , a big portion. We choose this place because someone coming from there just said he loves this place. And it is understandable why. Friendly staff and quick service. Fresh and yummy food of good quality.

Dumpling it just ok, big dumplings wraps with tiny meat, staff are friendly, overall it ok didn’t expect anything more down here in Mornington.

GREAT find on the main strip in Mornington. ✨Vibes✨ on a Tuesday night dinner with tasty dumplings and appetisers and the most delicious nasi goreng we’ve had in a while. Will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu!

We were there for our anniversary great place. I liked the wagyu beef and zucchini dumplings. We also ordered few Ramen noodles soup the pork ramen soup topped the list. Great place very friendly staffs. Will definitely go back.

Absolutely wonderful dumplings, even by inner city Melbourne standards. The optional salad that accompanies the dumplings is huge; be warned! I also appreciate that dumplings are provided in 6 or 5 amounts per portion, makes it really easy to dine with friends; gone are the days of “we will get 24 pan fried pork, and 12 vegetables” just to satisfy the table. Also, the online menu doesn’t mention non-alcoholic beer, but turns out they do have one on offer (it’s local AND delicious!) Highly recommended and will be coming back.

The service at the restaurant was impeccable. The staff was warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable, providing recommendations and answering all my questions with enthusiasm. Their attentiveness made the dining experience even more enjoyable, ensuring that every need was met. The tonkatsu Ramen was another standout dish that I couldn't resist ordering. The rich, creamy broth was so good :)

Enjoyable place to eat. The pot sticker dumplings (various), Xiao long bao and the nasi goreng were all winners. Went with a small group and food came out relatively quickly. Atmosphere is buzzy, but still able to chat amongst the group and it wasn't a problem. Prices are OK. Service was fine, without being awesome. Would go back in a heart beat. 4.5⭐

Right in the heart of Mornington shops this dumpling bar was the perfect mix of casual and cool. We shared 3 plates of dumplings and the pan fried veggie dumplings were a highlight!

Need to book during busy times as table numbers are limited. Food was great, but our pot stickers were not hot enough. Staff were friendly & professional. Can be very noisy inside. Loved the bottle of cold water & glasses as we sat down. Highly recommended. Tried the tempura soft shell crab, good, but other menu options would be better...IMHO

The food was great. The dumplings were fresh and delicious. The miso soup complimented them completely. The chicken rice was served with plenty of fresh veggies. I would recommend this restaurant absolutely.
