This is a very important wetland and is essential for the local environment. It's good to see how a lot of the local vegetation is being restored as well.

Small, beautiful wetlands in Royal Park, with a great bird hide to do some native bird watching.

We're staying on Flemington, close to Royal Park. We walked across to the Zoo and came across TWT-B by chance and was so glad we did. What a beautiful place, a real oasis within the city boundaries. Lots of birds around, including Superb Fairy-Wren and New Holland Honeyeater. Hopefully we'll get to visit again before we leave for the UK.

Really nice little spot tucked away in royal park in the heart of parkville. Really good to post up for a quick lunch break or a short walk after work. Lots of interesting local bird life here as well!

Nice park with an environmental/conservation mission. The wetland area is full of native species (plants and birds). A nice peaceful green space to visit in wrote an urban area.

Right at the edge of the massive Royal Park, this little gem stretches all the way to the wall of the freeway itself. Comprising of two beautiful lakes, it's paths wind through and around the semi-wild habitat that supports the wildlife in the area. The plants and trees you see around you are one of the few areas left in Victoria that have managed, amazingly, to remain pretty much as they were before the onset of white settlement.

Great walking and exploring experience. Plenty of park infrastructure and information provided. Quite a bit of birdlife and the noises they make about. Very good set up and well maintained. A rough Bird Hide is tucked away out back. Not to far away from other parks.

We went for a BBQ with friends and family. The provided grills are clean and very easy to handle (keep track if the green light is on, it turns off after ~20min?!). The location is quite and the provided toilets are close by. It's a good spot for a little outdoor barbie

Enjoyed a lovely catchup with friends for a quick bite to eat (self catering!) and a walk during covid19 lockdown. Plenty of benches to sit on but only spotted 2 tables. Grassed areas are great to sit on though. There were a few people carrying their cameras with telephoto lenses attached. Turns out there was a couple of twany frogmouth chicks in one of the trees.

Went in the late afternoon. There were heaps of swallows flying low catching dinner. And a Willie Wagtail catching dinner and flying back into its home possibly to feed young. There was heaps of shade and toilet was nearby.

👍👍 I lived in Bundoora for almost 5 years and this is the first time I come here. Honestly, I would come much earlier if I knew about it before. There are a few tracks inside to walk in, besides, you can go deep in the forest if you like to watch wildlife. I would encourage everyone lives in the nearby...
