Love training here! Amazing energy, great facilities & a legendary crew lead by an awesome club manager. I've no clue what the 1 star reviews are about - seems to be small people with petty issues. Ignore them. Get into this gym and get involved in a great training space.

They signed me up on a contract, debited my account, and then cancelled the contract without my choice, claiming that they underquoted, saying my option was to sign a new contract. Very unethical, Fitness and Lifestyle Group / Fitness First.

Its soo refreshing to have the team at reception say hello when I arrive & then a goodbye when leaving, makes you feel very welcome indeed. The whole team are just wonderful, meet the Club Manager recently, so ready to assist & a great smile too. Its one of the rare places you actually get great customer service, well done guys, keep up the great work !!!

Was confused regarding the COVID processes the facility was taking regarding training time frames etc. Called and left more than one message for the club manager to call me back which never happened! If your looking for knowledgeable and friendly customer service. You won’t find it at this gym!

I like this gym because everyone who goes here is motivated towards their own goals. I quite often look around and see no body on a phone. The same people go every day about the same time, this gives the gym a nice familiar local vibe. The group classes are really fun,they have hired very engaging people to run them. The sprint cycle classes are great for a quick burn and warm yoga classes if you're looking for something different ,are a nice change of pace. The wellness room is a welcome addition with a steam room,sauna and comfortable deck chairs. Shout out to Jay at reception who is always friendly and helpful.

Not very impressed. 1. I didn't like the set up of the gym weights area much so I didn't go as often as I would have liked. 2. Main issue is they signed me up on a contract very easily to take my money, but now they are making me jump through hoops to cancel on my 1 year contract on the due date. They are still trying to squeeze more payments out of me using all sorts of tactics and terminology like 'out of term' and not honoring a complimentary 'freeze' I took when on holiday...they seem to forget what was promised. The Manager also wants to deal with me via email rather than talk to me on the phone, which is more time wasting and hoops. The experience leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth on their gym ethics and policies to members when they wish to leave. Good luck

Worse than phone scammers at harrassing you. Ive had over 10 texts and several phone calls after a quick visit. Gym is not great or value for money in the area.

I have been a member at this gym for a number of years now and I found it always very welcoming with friendly staff and a great environment to work out in. They have a very wide range of group fitness classes and great instructors to push you further and hit your fitness goals. They cater for all ages and fitness levels. People say that the memberships are a bit expensive but you pay for what you get which is quality. I love this club as I have for the past few years and will continue to love it more as I keep going.

I have been a member for over 10 years now and really happy with the service and quality of this club. The club manager is always helpful and reception staff are fantastic as you are always greeted with a smile as you walk in which is very welcoming to me. Great range of classes and machines. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great club to join. It's not just a gym it's a club you belong to with a great environment to work out in.

Hands down, best choice I’ve made training at Brighton. From management, to the trainers, by far the nicest and most knowledgeable staff I have come across. I look forward to walking through the doors and always feel amazing when I leave. Definitely recommend and encourage everyone to try it out, you won’t be disappointed.

Not gonna lie, it's an expensive membership my G. You gotta haggle quite a bit to get them to drop at 28.9 dollars a week. Which is still a lot compared to other gyms. On the plus side, got 2 saunas, its huge and I always find plates and bars even at the busiest hours. Nice changing rooms too. Do no pay admission fee, its entirely optional.

A great gym

Fantastic gym. Staff are friendly, greet and say goodbye to you everytime you enter or exit. Facilities always clean no matter the time. Other patrons put their weights away and respect the equipment and other people's time.

Unfriendly, dodgy management. Easy to sing up and difficult to terminate contract despite years of loyalty to FF. They would use any excuse possible to continue changing fees. FF have closed their central customer support office, so you have no choice other than to fight for your rights with club management. Brighton's management is disrespectful and hopeless.

Great gym, very clean and super friendly staff. Good equipment and there's plenty of space. Night and day difference compared to the St Kilda East FF which I do not recommend

The gym itself and the staff are great so it's a shame that it is let down by its business model. I was charged over $50 in overdue fees because my weekly payment wasn't completed at the exact time alongside dozens of daily texts and calls from 'debitsuccess'. I was also made to pay for an extra month of a membership way out of my price range because you supposedly need to give notice to leave a gym.

Not bad gym. But truly laughable staffed hours. Literally only have a 4 hour window over the entire weekend to have a sauna. Pathetic.

One of my favourite gyms - the club manager Alice sets the bar high for customer service with her infectiously positive energy and willingness to assist in any way. Similar to most companies, management's approach tends to have a huge influence on staff's attitude and you can see that here with how warm and welcoming they are. Regardless of your mood when you enter, you'll leave with a smile on your face. Make sure to check out one of their classes in the beautiful fitness studio! :)

Five star rating for this lovely quiet night. It’s just so nice that I don’t have to bear the lame musics out loud today due to audio malfunction?Maybe turn down the volume in the night, I can still desperately hear it with my noice cancelling headphone on :(

Very small area - probably you have got more gym equipment at home than this one - live up to the expectations we have from Fitness First (Look at Richmond, Flinders, even Bayside…)

Love this gym. Staff are so friendly. The facilities are always clean and extremely well set out. So glad for this to be my new gym in my new area!

Great space with new-ish equipment that connect to your AppleWatch or other fitness bands. Majority of the weight equipments are new. Plenty of space for core and stretching. Dedicated spaces for classes, a dedicated spin room. There is a relaxation room. The only downside is the shower/changing rooms — although new and tidy, they are often messy and not as clean as needed. Some staff are friendlier than others. It seems the mask mandate doesn’t apply to all clients, only the ones they feel like telling to put the mask on.

Love Fitness First Brighton!! Staff are so helpful and filled with knowledge! The Manager, Alice, is so supportive and always going the extra mile for all the members! Highly recommend Fitness First Brighton! Always look forward to going and the good vibes of the gym.

The Brighton East staff are lovely; professional, cheerful and helpful. The gym is clean and the experience pleasant. I’d highly recommend the gym to anyone contemplating membership.
