Great cocktails, great service and a great atmosphere! Very reasonably priced, our staff member was very knowledgeable and attentive and great to talk to. Had the margaritas which I was at first a little sceptical of having dill in but it was so balanced! The little corn nuts are a great touch as well. Would definitely come back!

Amazingly friendly accommodative staff. Very attentive. We were sitting outside in the cold but we were provided with blankets and heaters. Creative and tasty cocktails.

We live nearby and had thought about trying this place, so happy we did! Service is so friendly, welcoming and attentive, you feel like you’re having a drink at a friend’s place. Cocktails are seasonal and the one of the current options, a margarita with blood orange and ginger, is a new favourite! Absolutely delicious! It’s a cafe by day, bar by night. Will have to come back for a coffee soon and will definitely be back for another drink at this excellent little spot. Thanks!

Got recommended by a local business to check this place out for a fresh drink. Didn't disappoint and was taken care of even though dining alone. Pleasantly surprised at the sparkling water and olives.

My partner and I went here on a whim, and it's the best choice we've made in years. We felt so comfortable, so special and so welcome here. The cocktails are delicious and interesting. The people making them are masters of taste. The service is top notch, we were so lucky that we decided to try the place out. Definitely try the specials. They had cold drinks and we loved the warm mulled cider they had at the time. Do not miss out on this gem of a bar, and if you're looking for a feed as well, they an sort you out!

An incredible cocktail bar. Every week the alternating cocktail menu with the seasonal fruits is so fun. Every time we have visitors, a trip to Plug Nickel to test the delicious cocktails is a MUST. My Mum who is not a cocktail drinker, only makes an exception for the unique creations. The lovely bar staff, the complimentary olives and tasting cocktail samples are a great touch too. 💛

Great coffee. Tried their latte and flat white, more on the sweet side with subtle raspberry note like they described for beans they use today. Friendly staff and you can tell they are passionate and serious about coffee. It’s been a while since we’ve added a coffee shop to our list, there’s really not a lot of coffee place out there we can truly recommend. 4 star cause we have a few 5 star places that really speaks to our heart, hope it will be a 5 in the future. Will be back for more. Edit: Putting it up to 5 star. We always get very disappointed when places drop their quality and we are forced to take them off our list. Plug Nickel has been very consistent with their quality and really hope they will keep that up in the long term. Like their bar in the evening btw. Great place to relax and finish off the evening. Latest: Unfortunately quality has dropped off.

We had a great special of the week, Martini with grapefruit, basil and peach. Light, citrusy and delightful! Also had a couple of great espresso martinis.

Great atmosphere and polite staff. Sat outside in the nice weather just chatting over a cup of coffee and a croissant in a very peaceful area with great character. A great start to anyone's Saturday morning.

The beautiful cafe in traditional building. The inside the store is not so spacious, but worth visiting to get a nice coffee.

One of the best joys in life is seeing someone who truly appreciates their craft. Each time I’ve been to plug nickel, they have a small selection of rotating cocktails based on what the market has. This results in truly some of the best drinks I’ve ever had in Melbourne. Each time I come to look forward to seeing what drinks are on offer and have to order at least one of each. Everyone has to at least come twice to see how much they can do with cocktails

Hands down, the absolute best coffee in Collingwood and now they are open for drinks Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights (delicious and cheap cocktails too, around $14 each) They are also an amazing bunch of people, offering some of the best service you will find in the area:)

Such delicious and complex cocktails! Rotating selection based on market produce each week, so every drink is fresh and delightful. Staff is super knowledgeable and pleasant. I've come back multiple weeks in a row and have absolutely loved the drinks each time!
