👍👍 I’m not really familiar with this suburb and most of the places not open on Sunday. Read the google reviews about this place so we deceived to give it ago. The place is quite big so we didn’t have to wait :) the girl was very nice and recommended me to get the Moroccan egg and it was delicious :) People often mention coffee, cafe, nice, staff, friendly, good, great, service, breakfast, brunch,

We loved our brunch experience here. I had the coconut porridge and my partner had the granola. Both were exceptional in every way. So beautifully presented and composed and superbly flavoured. We shared half a ham, cheese and tomato toastie and loved that as well. Our coffees were absolute crackers as well. Service throughout was efficient and genuinely warm and friendly. Conclusion: the Foreigner is an excellent cafe. We will be back.

Such a cool cafe with really nice decor and ambience. Staff were really friendly and made sure everything was good for us. Food was awesome. We had the HSP and Moroccan eggs which were really delicious. Portions were huge too! And its all Halal. Will definitely come back again.

Nice wet chai and coffee. Tried their eggplant with Turkish bread but not to my liking. Eggplant is abit burnt. Staffs were friendly.

We visited The Foreigner for lunch with friends who have live nearby and I liked the fun interior and the menu certainly intrigued but I was less than impressed with the service. Had to practically flag someone down to refill our water and after about 30 minutes we realised everyone had their food except us including those who had arrived well after us. The waitress then came over and said there had been a mix up with our order (I’m assuming it didn’t get put through properly) and they would try to rush it out. I enjoyed my dish which was a generous serve but when we went to pay another staff member asked me how everything was so I was honest and said good except for the long wait and she kind of attempted to deny it had happened as she claimed the food was put through immediately when she checked the system. I said well I had a 1pm reservation and as you can see from the photo I took of my dish when it came out it is stamped 1.49pm so she then offered to remove one coffee from the bill which I suppose was something

Consistently good coffee and our go to brunch spot. Large portions, friendly staff and plenty of space to sit inside and outside.

Service is really good here and so is the coffee. Unfortunately, this time my food wasn't so great. I ordered the Buddha bowl and added smoked salmon, because I wanted something fresh and veggies. The ingredients tasted very oily, the pumpkin was marinated in a sweet syrup and corn was doused in sweet chili sauce. Overall, too oily and not fresh tasting at all. My friend enjoyed her burrito breakfast.

This is a very nice local cafe. It's not close to where I live but would go back over and over again. We ordered Teta Felafel and Bashed Avo; both dishes were beautifully done.

Super busy cafe in Ivanhoe. Modern decor with a cozy and relax vibe. The menu has a Mediterranean/middle eastern influence. Super friendly staff with great service. The food and coffee were very good. Highly recommended.

Always a treat, interesting menu. LOVED the foreigner brekky (see pic) with the garlic labneh. Nice presentation. Great coffee. Nice staff. Lovely bright cafe, if a trifle noisy when full. Looking forward to trying out the new deck in summer.

So I’m new to the area and I have been checking the coffee places. I googled of course and saw good reviews of this place. I went with a mate today and wow! It was amazing! The coffee was great, the food tasted so good and staff are friendly and were great! I had the Benny Chellz (can’t remember the spelling but it’s on specials) and wow! Coming back here again for sure! With the photo, that’s what’s left of it. Lol

Terrific cafe with really lovely staff. The coffee is lovely here as are the meals. It’s not the place to get just a simple serve of toast though as bizarrely they are very stingey with butter and Vegemite. The amounts they give you are tiny and they barely cover one slice let alone two!

I always find it difficult to get table service. If you’re going to do table service instead of ordering at the counter, the staff have to be attentive and know who are new customers and who has already been serviced. I’ve sat down and waited many times, and then I just decided to leave after waiting 10minutes with no service. Toasties are also over priced for regular buttered bread, cheese and tomato.

Great coffee and a lot of fun options. Food was flavourful - highly recommend the breakfast HSP. Staff were friendly and attentive.

Great staff, all so nice. Pancakes were so old that they were discoloured and had been microwaved, the smallest amount of sliced fruit and completely melted ice cream ( might have been ice cream). Toilets pretty dirty.

An amazing meal. Came here with my kids; they loved the milkshakes, I loved my coffee. Burger was on point. Very friendly staff, great service! See you again soon!!

Great place with great food, friendly and accommodating staff, and great coffee. Gets slightly busy even on weekdays. Have come here a few times and will be back for more!

We ordered lattes and the pulled lamb for brunch. The coffee was alright. While the pulled lamb was well-cooked, its flavor didn't quite suit my taste because of the added spices. The service was excellent. Multiple outdoor and indoor tables are available.

Cute cafe serving good coffee and a nice array of breakfast choices. Tried the Foreigner special - poached eggs with garlic labneh, fried eggplant chips and Turkish bread priced at $18 which was quite reasonable. Most cafes are overpriced so nice to see their pricing is down to earth! Delicious but very grey on the plate, would have have been nice to see some spinach, broccolini or some kind of greenery present.

Recently the cafe changed menus options. They have changed some of their best meals and it’s not what it used to be. We understand places change but we no longer visit this cafe as we didn’t enjoy what we ordered and below average for brunch food. Great cafe spot though in Ivanhoe and lovely outdoor seating for a coffee.

We travelled all over Australia and tried a lot of restaurants. This one is the best breakfast we had so far. The taste of our morrocan breakfast and the spices in it were perfect. Even the almond croissant tasted so good and special. If youre around you have to visit this place!
