The golf course views are amazing, really a treat a couple of the holes. The staff in the Pro Shop were friendly on arrival and helpful. This is why this review isn't 1 star. It was busy when we played on a Saturday which is to be expected. Our groups golf game was poor given the fact we're all just learning. One of the pro's came out and politely asked if we could move along as there were a few groups behind us. We called through the group behind and then were waiting for them as they were waiting for the group in front of them. This is when the review of the course starts to go downhill. It's a Saturday morning, we expected it to be busy. A person in a green cart raced past us, and speed off, we thought to overtake us. 5 minutes later he races up to us and tells us to hurry up in an aggressive fashion. Given we'd paid $120 collectively, being told to "hurry up", really isn't ideal. We continued for the rest of the round, waiting for the group in front of us, then the group behind having to wait. At the 18th hole, we putted out, congratulated each other a good game despite the scorecard saying differently. Then the same guy races up to the green. I decided I'd let him know that I was going report him to the clubhouse. Rather than apologising which would have been the end of it, he doubled down. He claimed "Who are you going to report me too, I'm with the GM", then he said something along the lines of "You were holding hands like children". I informed him that I didn't care who he was, I was going to report him to the clubhouse. He didn't like this one bit. He then tried to intimidate me by saying "What time was your tee off time?". I assume trying to flex that he could get us banned from a public course for not playing our game his way. When I challenged him on his behaviour and the way he was talking to me, he used the classic line of "That's who I am". The whole time I didn't swear at him despite him growing increasingly aggressive. He then said "If you don't like it F OFF TO YARRA BEND". Ultimately I decided to capture the tail end of the conversation on video to ensure he couldn't claim he was perfectly civil.

My dad and I had no experience with golf and we booked online a $250 2-hr lesson for the first time here with coach Damian Hall. After I booked the lesson, I called the Club to check if the lesson was indeed for two people. The person who answered the phone said he would leave a note for the coach that two people would attend. The lesson itself was enjoyable, but as we were about to leave, the coach and staff members stopped us and said we needed to pay an additional $100. They said that the lesson we booked was for one person and it was in fact $380 for a 2-persons 2hr class. We were taken aback by this and tried to tell them that I had called beforehand and asked about this and there were no mention of a change in price. For any bookings, the Club requires full payment beforehand. My parents and I had arrived at the shop 30 minutes prior to our scheduled lesson. If the staff members were dealing with any good faith, how come the additional unpaid amount was only mentioned when I was half way out the door? Regardless, I was willing to pay and asked the staffs where can I find the pricelist that details the stated amount. They could not produce any documentation whether online or hardcopy that details this sum. What's worse is that one of the staff threatened to call the police and accused us of stealing from the coach. The coach himself directed personal insults questioning my integrity and conscience as a medical professional. What I believed to be a case of miscommunication turned into accusations, belittling and passive aggression directed at me. Leaving out details such as additional prices, whether intentionally or not, is defined as a form of misleading under the ACL and is illegal. With no documentation of any kind stating the price of a 2-persons lesson, I had reasons to believe that the Club was not dealing with good faith. In the end, my family was told to leave and never return. I am still willing to believe that this was all due to miscommunication of the pricing, but it is beyond me why threats of calling the police and personal attacks were necessary. I was deeply hurt by the language they threw at me. What a shame. EDITED: The Club has contacted me and offered me their appologies. They have offered me a refund to the lesson, to which I declined since I did enjoy the lesson itself.

Greens in good condition and rest of the course not bad. Easy to find ball if you can't hit it straight like me.

Wonderful public golf course. Highly recommend to all. The only negative was the representative behind the counter who was incredibly rude. Was not only patronising fellow staff members but was quite firm with us after we had bought some vouchers and genuinely weren’t aware of before 12 terms and conditions (which we called and checked with pro shop a day earlier and was told it was okay) No way to treat any customer.

We played here in the last day of 2020. I would say its a decent experience considering some of the holes were not in a good shape. But for an experience to play within a well known Albert park it deserve a good experience for us.

My Favorite Golf Course in Melbourne. Started my Golf journey from here, had my lessons here and play 2 rounds a week here. Nice wide open course, with some challenging holes, great views of the city and the lake. The course is playable all year round, drains off excess water in the winter while watered and maintained in the summer. The staff are friendly and a bit cheeky at times, but will always try to accommodate during busy times. Get on down there and enjoy.

What a gem of a golf course! Perfectly located just outside the CBD, it's easy to get to and have a quick round! The course is surprisingly very well maintained and easily playable even in the wet (not as muddy as most Vic course have been during the wet seasons). The entire AP-G staff is very friendly: Paul, David, Angel, Chucky, Sam and others make it very accomodating and inviting! Just recently had the opportunity to take some little cousins to play Albert Park Mini Golf - and wow what an experience! The little ones couldn't stop laughing and jumping around ecstatic over their putts and facing novel themed mini golf holes - especially when they got to AP's take on "Jurassic Park" with dinosaurs towering above them as they navigated through those holes. Definitely a family-friendly golf course for both young and old - perfect with tables for picnics - there's something for everyone at Albert Park Golf - And with very competitive and reasonable pricing - I'll be returning as often as I can for golf and taking the little ones for mini golf whenever they're on holidays - Well done Team-AP!

Arrived at tee time to have 4 groups waiting to tee off resulting in a 30 minute delay. We ended up bailing after 6 holes because it took more than 2 hours. Clearly management is not doing their job with managing the tee times. They gave us credit for 9 holes when we payed for 18. Pretty dissapointing all around.

I had the privilege to be coached by Angel and it has been a game changer. His expertise in refining my swing and addressing specific issues has significantly improved my performance. It’s not only his technical knowledge but his constant positivity and motivation which made each session both effective and fulfilling. Beyond the technical knowledge Angel also offered valuable insights into mental aspects of the game and strategic approaches to course management. His holistic approach to coaching has deepened my appreciation for game. I highly recommend Angel to anyone looking to elevate their golf game.

Been a few times now, great fun for all ages. Well planned out holes, just tricky enough for all. Well priced compared to other mini golf. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed playing this relatively flat simple course. For me I found the greens tricky, they didn't seem to agree with my interpretations 🤔 of how much the ball would curve. Plus we had ballooning visitors which was very cool.

Played sunday morning. It was out first time there. Staff weren't particularly welcoming and it was too busy. The time between the tee time was too close so we constantly felt rushed. Overall an incredibly poor experience. Having to pay for parking was ridiculous considering you already had to pay for the course. Nice to play near the city though

I have had the pleasure of being taught by Grace Lennon, and I cannot recommend her enough. Not only did she teach me a great deal about golf but she always makes the learning experience incredibly enjoyable. Her fun and engaging teaching style made every lesson a delight. Without a doubt10/10 rating. If you're looking for a golf instructor who combines expertise with an enjoyable atmosphere, she is the one to go to.

First time playing here on Sunday morning. Course was overbooked, we had to let about 3 groups of comp players that started off on the back nine go in front of us, so our tee-off was delayed by 15 mins, and it took 3 hours to play 9 holes. The back nine was not too bad as the comp players in front of us had finished, but it was disgraceful going at 20 mins a hole. To make matters worse the course was in very average nick. Not worth $47 in green fees. To top it off, we were not told or aware that we had to pay for parking, and we made it quite clear to the pro shop that it was our first time there. I did notice a sign is there but a $90 parking ticket just topped off what was a really unenjoyable experience.

Course in very poor condition and absolute chaos to play. The main reason I will never play there again is the car parking issues. It’s absolute rubbish requirement to pay for parking when you have paid a lot for a round already. It’s a money making scheme by the council and the golf course is paying the price for it. Feel sorry for them.

Stand our service and function facilities at the Albert Park Golf Course. Sam and Lisa arranged a function for our grand daughter's 4th birthday party and I was absolutely impressed from start to finish. The customer service was impeccable. I provided a brief for what I wanted and they nailed it. It was on a Sunday and the party went off without a hitch. The staff were amazing, the food delicious, the function room looked sensational (thank you so much for your help with that Lisa), the facilities were great (full bar, plenty of space and the mini golf was loved by all). But it was more than that, the people here really want you to have a good experience and everyone of our guests said it was an exceptional location and that the day was fantastic. Thank you so much again for your customer service and attention to detail. I will spread the word about our experience and we will 100% be back again. Kind regards Lee

No parking on weekdays so you can’t even access the course, that’s if ur lucky enough for staff to pick up the phone to book you in. Ridiculous experience and customer service. Don’t come here

Booking, payment, customer service and being told to go away made the feeling of this club hard to enjoy. Carts dont have an ice box so required to buy a $50 cooler bag but they didnt have ice. Course was good.

No course and tee time management meant we waited 30 minutes past our booked time to tee off. Took us 5.30 hours to do 18 holes. A public course indeed with little to no care taken by the staff. Rude and unhelpful. Place looked run down, and you have to pay 17.50 dollar for a 3 hours car park, when a normal round of golf takes 4 hours. Won,t go back

Angel is a very friendly and helpful coach - I’m relearning golf after a long break, and he gave me very practical advice to improve my game immediately. Recommended.

Rude welcome at 11 o’clock tee off by staff member. Not sure if he realises he is in customer service? Tee time management non existent and be prepared to wait at each hole for 10 minutes minimum. Fairways were ok mostly. 2nd cut overgrown literally has gone wild for such a tight course. Greens were good. Seems the course has had great care in the past but seems to not have that care factor anymore. For a city course it has great views and surroundings.

Have played this course before a fair bit, the course itself is fine and location is obviously convenient. But I am turned off it recently due to a particular staff member being pretty unwelcoming and passive. This is the only course I’ve ever known to just not answer the phone at any stage if they are fully booked, which seems to make it difficult to get a chance to book or at least get a “ sorry we’re booked up “. Won’t be looking to play here again.

I had a great experience with my golf lessons with Damian. As a beginner Damian provided a positive and encouraging environment, tailoring lessons to my goals. I have improved my game and knowledge with Damian’s assistance. Highly recommend for anyone looking to improve their game.

It’s a great location with beautiful views across all holes. What destroys the experience is how busy it is, ie tee times to close and no speed management on the course. Wait times are often really bad - today almost 3h for front nine and then we cancelled with two flights ahead of us on the tenth tee. To give them credit - we at least got a rain check for 9 holes. Also course maintenance could be improved. This could be one of the best public courses around if it was better managed. Would rather pay a few dollars more if it would realise the potential this course and location have.

Had a small hiccup at the course in regards to a voucher. I emailed the pro shop in an attempt to rectify the issue. Paul responded to me on his day off and called me as promised the next day to discuss and solve the incident. Great customer service. The course was enjoyable to play and the pace was very good on the Saturday I played. Thank you for your help Paul

3.5 hours to play 9 holes on a Tuesday morning ! Where is the course management of tee times and players speed Understand is a public course but 3.5 hours for 9 hours is taking the piss

Had a wonderful experience at the Albert Park Golf course. Service is spectacular, with a visit to the Pro Shop being worth your while. Ask for Riccardo - he provided excellent service and was a joy, the gold standard for Pro Shop staff. Friendly and knowledgeable, with a great smile. I additionally enjoyed an excellent Spinach and Ricotta treat, with a mountain dew. I will be returning for many years to come thanks to this great experience. Shout out to Riccardo, he's the man!

One of the worst golf courses, if not the worst we have played. The course itself was very unkept, fairways were full of huge dirt patches and rocks. The rough was full of dirt and sticks as well. It was incredibly difficult to play on. On top of this we payed for “premium” hire clubs. These were mis matched with the grips falling apart. It was over $200 for 2 people for 9 holes, absolute waste of money.

Be careful parking here if playing a full round! If you go into the golf shop to pay for a voucher you better get your skates on to get it on your vehicle's dash - parking inspectors will happily throw a ticket on in minutes after parking.
