I remember when this place was called L'Unico and it was underwhelming in all aspects. Fast forward several years and it's successor has made big improvements. We had a large group and everyone was happy with the meals and attention from the wait staff. The decor is brighter and the vibe is way more upbeat. On a road where some excellent dumpling restaurants could distract you, this is worth your while for pub food.

Stood waiting to be seated while waiter was wondering around looking for something to do. Eventually seated by someone else. Order at the bar or with QR code. Service at table was awkward almost clumsy by the male waiter. Food was delicious. Would recommend the fish and chips or the burger. Everyone was satisfied with their meal. The atmosphere is very bistro, the pokies are just there in the next room and there were a number of noisy children running around. Overall the food got them over the line and I would recommend if you want a good reasonably price pub feed. Parking is a little difficult may have to walk a bit.

Very friendly and professional service. My flathead fillets were delicious. The barely there crisp batter over succulent tender fillets. Large chips, tartare sauce and tasty salad accompaniment. Today I had the Linguini De Mare. Selection of local seafood; mussels, calamari and prawns, in a white wine and cream sauce. Delicious. My partner had the Chicken Schnitzel, home made to order on the premises. Not reheated frozen dried out chicken. Very tender and lightly crumbed. Perfect.

This place is great! We love coming here for coffee. Meals look fantastic and delicious but never have tried one. The tiramisu in a little glass is amazing. All the staff are very talkative and friendly

My brother and I had lunch here. Has a sport area, pokies, bar and restaurant in the one place. The staff extremely friendly. The food were massive portions and very tasty. They have an outside area. Very close to public transport and on the main road of Clayton. Highly recommend.

Two of us came to The Clayton Hotel in Clayton for dinner on a Friday night. We both ordered Chicken Parma’s and they were very delicious. A big shoutout to the Clayton Hotel worker, Leanne, who was absolutely brilliant. She was hustling and working hard to make sure every single patron in the restaurant was comfortable, fed, watered, and happy. She was so smiley and positive and made us feel so welcome. 5/5 stars for her amazing service. Thank you!

The restaurant's happy hour from 4-6pm offers cheap beer and incredibly delicious onion rings. Highly recommended for those seeking affordable drinks and appetizing snacks.

Not much to shout about. Reasonable food to sort your cravings. APPETISER 1. Calamari is tender and was good. Extra slice of lemon would had been perfect. Overall a 4.3/5.0 2. Roast Pork. Crispy skin and balanced flavour. Paired with the sauce and grapefruit was a good combination. Overall 4.0/5.0 MAINS 1. Beef Steak was a little over done and was little dry. Vegetables was just blanched therefore not much flavour and no condiments to pair with. Overall a 3.0/5.0 2. Barramundi with Truffle Sauce. Love the Truffle sauce. it wasn't overpowering. The sauce is compatible with the fish also the mash. Overall a 3.8/5.0 It was a wedding dinner, not sure about the price. Do not quote me on that.

This is my local pub. It has a friendly relaxed vibe but a lot of the waitresses forget to give you water.Leanne is the best waitress and the sunday $20 roast special is great. Have some good vegetarian options too. Haven't seen any live music yet. That could be next...

I recently had my husbands 30th in the function room upstairs and the event was fantastic. Food is amazing, service is great and the venue was set up perfectly. They even organised this set up for us🤩

Stopped here for a late dinner (kitchen closed at 9 on Friday night) friendly and helpful staff, a good position to watch the footy and splendid food. Great feed. Also enjoyed the mocktails

Have been to this Hotel for a meal several times and the food has always been quite good - except for today. I ordered the Cold Beef and Mango Salad from the specials board. The board said that in addition to the beef and mango it had coriander, mint and fennel. I love all these ingredients and was looking forward to enjoying the dish. However the dish contained NIL coriander, NIL fennel and ONE solitary piece of mint half the size of my pinky fingernail. The waitress passed on my observation to the chef and he was adamant that there was indeed plenty of coriander, mint and fennel in my dish. I grow my own coriander and I know what it tastes like. I also know what mint and fennel taste like. So one of us was wrong - and it wasn't me. The chef should have just owned up to the omissions and rectified it. Very, very disappointed.

Thank you all for everything you did for our baby’s first birthday on Saturday night. The night was fantastic, extremely well supervised by Dinushi and her team, the food was fantastic and the venue just perfect! Thanks for getting everything up and running for us and being super organised! We had so many positive comments on the night and about the delicious food, how friendly all the staff were, and how well set up the venue was. We have not heard one negative comment and would be completely surprised if we did. I would like to pass on our thanks to Dinushi and the girls who worked on Saturday night. We would have absolutely no hesitation recommending The Function in the future. Thanks again, you all did a fantastic job

Love coming to the Clayton Hotel. The staff are amazing especially Leanne. She remembers you even if it’s a year between visiting! Nothing is too much for the staff, the customer service is next level, they are friendly and you can tell they all like working there. The food is delicious and the owners wife and mum make delicious cakes. It has a really great atmosphere like you are visiting family. Highly recommend! Leave time for parking as for any location in a built up area.

The staff are absolutely amazing. So friendly, welcoming and accomodating. The venue is lovely. The food is good but terribly dietary options. One of the very few meals advertised as GF came with non GF bread! Very few vegetarian options as well. I would sadly avoid if you have dietaries. But otherwise it is great. Online booking should also allow for bookings in the sports bar.

I recently hired the function room for a surprise 60th birthday lunch for my mum. Dinushi was wonderful to work with and made sure everything ran smoothly on the day. Food was good and staff were very attentive.

I was hesitant eating here as the outside doesn't really present an inviting space..... But geez it was such a surprise its so lovely inside and the food was a good size and price. The service was good I did wait a little olfor my food but I guess that means it's cooked fresh ...i recommend this hidden little gem.

Great food, hot and fresh and generous servings - Parmas are legit and one of the best I’ve ever had. The waitress with the blond hair is always super friendly and does a wonderful job making sure everyone is looked after. You’d be hard pressed to find a better counter meal in the south east. Update: forgot to mention the home made cakes!! OMG yum

The staff here at Clayton Hotel is very helpful and there is always a smile on all staff faces. And they welcome everyone I will come here for meals here and have birthday parties here

We just went to Clayton Hotel for a casual meal and it did not disappoint! The service was absolutely brilliant. Leanne was super attentive, friendly, and so lovely with our kids. The food portions are great and the price is reasonable. We ordered the kid’s cheeseburger, which made my jaw drop when it arrived to the table! For $12 it had a thick wagyu patty, in brioche bun. And the chips….drool. Comes with ice cream and soft drink which is excellent value. Our daughter was thrilled! Leanne and Mel were so kind and offered some ice cream to our son (didn’t order a kids meal) so he didn’t feel left out. Made his day! The linguine with prawns was delicious as were the calamari main and porterhouse steak. We’re leaving with full bellies, and returning again in the future for sure.

Food was lovely. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The bistro is small compared to many pubs so it's quiet and more intimate. Only problem is street parking is difficult to find.

Hadn't been there for a while. Pub has been renovated, so it looks clean and fresh. Had the risotto. Very reasonably priced. Usually a bad choice at a pub but this time it far exceeded my expectations. Would definitely go there again.

We had my daughters birthday on the 20th August 2020 and 12 guest. We are very please to say the service was fantastic and not to mention the girls that attend to us from the minute we walked in to our table was very impressive. Great customer service and they have answered all our ? Meals was great and a very great atmosphere. The only down side is very limited parking and should also have at least 2 disability parking.

😙The dinner meal is very wonderful and the service here must be 5-star service, especially Mrs. Leannne😀, I strongly suggest this restaurant. Quite nice.

I had my 40th Birthday party at clayton hotel.. Dinushi was amazing helping me organise my my special day.. The venue was fabulous.. food was excellent and the drinks really good as well..they catered to all our food needs and allergies .. i will definitely recommend this place to anyone and will come dine in as well in the future .. Thank you Clayton hotel and staff!

Was in the area catching up with a mate to pick-up some stuff and he suggested we go to the Clayton Hotel for a Parma. Excellent parma and chips and the salad was good too. Took a little longer than expected for the meal to come out but it was well worth it. Best parma I have had in years. Highly recommended. Cleaned up the entire plate!
