I have been a patient at Parkwood Green Medical since I was about 20 years old. I’m now 33 and I can’t quite put into words the disappointment I feel at the lack of care and disrespect I have been treated with over the past couple of years. When I began attending the clinic, April, the receptionist was amazing. She was so personable and kind. I saw Dr Pearly (as did my entire family) and she seemed to genuinely care. Fast forward to a few of years ago and the change in front desk staff is noticeable to say the least. The tone used is rude and I am made to feel like a number being rushed through the clinic - there for my money and not to be cared for at all. Dr Pearly is not an exception to this. After having attended the clinic for so long, she doesn’t even recall my name, instead calling me by my last name (a small thing I realise, but ridiculous when I’ve been there so long). On Thursday, I saw Dr Pearly to obtain some results that had been on my mind and could have been quite worrying. Instead of reading the results and my reason for being there prior to me entering the room, she read them out to me as she read them for the first time - thank GOD there was nothing requiring a change of tone in there. When I asked her if she had read my file, she told me she “didn’t have time for that” and that I should just tell her why I’d had the testing done. When the mention of ruling out something more serious came up, she laughed in my face and stated that I was “too young for that type of Cancer”. Not that I believe that this is what is going on with me, but I was absolutely mortified that she would be so casual and blasé about something that I have a family history of and is absolutely NOT an older person’s disease. I am extremely worried that her lack of care is due to her business mindset and that she sees her patients as dollar signs, rather than as people who need to be cared for. I sincerely hope that Parkwood Green turns itself around, because it used to be a wonderful clinic to be a patient at.

Dr Chandrani Yayasekara, also known as Dr C.J , is one of the most condescending and incompetent doctors I’ve ever come across. She’s rude, lacks compassion and literally mocks you without shame. She calls herself a doctor but she clearly does not uphold her Hippocratic Oath. Shame on her!

Please learn from your mistakes. Not being rude but customer service needs to be fixed staff mention incorrect things. My doctor that I had tried to keep me in for longer to try and charge extra money. Once again this is just to try and help you guys understand in the nicest way possible.

This was a good GP until recently I find that the receptionists and doctor were super ignorant and irresponsible for their job. I simply asked the doctor to resend me the medical certificate I forgot to ask at the appointment. I had to call in twice every day to chase for the cert. nothing was done. I had to physically came in to the Gp again to make appointment to see the GP to simply just reissue the cert. Not even a “ sorry “ was said. How disgraceful! Will never return.

Very disrespectful behaviour from the receptionist who proceeded to "have a go" at me after querying whether she would be able to print a blood test request for me - even after I apologised for making this request in the first place and explained that my midwife at the hospital sent through a digital copy that morning as it was urgent to have it done ASAP. She advised she was too busy to perform simple tasks like this but for some reason still agreed to do it (I was more than happy to go somewhere else). She left me sitting there waiting for 20 minutes while she laughed and giggled with the other receptionist seated next to her - which is an obvious sign that she does not have the best interest of the business as her priority. It was clear that she had no intention of printing the document. When I decided to leave as I was feeling very embarrassed by the whole incident, I decided to ask the pathology nurse if she was able to help me and thankfully she was extremely helpful and proceeded to write the script out for me so that I could have the procedure done. The receptionists really do let down the reputation of the clinic when it is their job to service and assist patients with the small things so that the doctors and nurses are free to focus on the more important tasks ahead of them. My recommendation is to save your time and go somewhere else, there are plenty of other options around in the area.

Dr Eranga is so good in her profession. I have been to her 3-4 times now and every time I didn’t have to wait. She’s very calm and her priorities are straight! I’ve also seen Dr Reza he was also good with his timing. I’ve had a great experience so far at this clinic including reception staff.

21 Feb 2024 10:30am. I had an Appalling appalling experience with the clinic manager Rachel and Dr Reza. Dr Reza Soheyli Esfahani has limited bedside manner and showed a lack of concern for his patients. He rushed me out of the room when I have at least 4-5 mins left in the consult to avoid exploring my second/main concern, he asked me to “come back again” and gave me a hoax referral to get rid of me and still charged me $70 for a long consult when he didn’t explore the second issue, not a single screening question or enquiry of severity. Later he justified his behaviour by showing me his (busy) schedule as if that is my responsibility. The only responsibility I have is to advocate for my health, not your insanely packed money making clinic schedule that clearly doesn’t allow sufficient time for adequate patient care. Secondly, Rachel at reception, whom to my horror turned out to be the practice manager, then nailed the coffin. She said to me “you are not the GP yea?” as I complained about the hoax referral (later confirmed by Dr Reza as it was not relevant to my complaint), and then she smirked to her colleague in front of me saying “oh so it’s (NOT) about the money”. Instead of managing the complaint seriously and professionally I would expect a practice manager would, she ridiculed me and my distress. When I calmed down I told my family what happened, they were outraged and called to give a formal complaint, and I heard she continued to dismiss our concerns and when my family asked to speak to her manager, her reply was “I doubt the director will want to speak with you”. I’m speechless, it’s a lost cause this clinic management. If the practice manager is dismissive of a distressed patient and the director also doesn’t care, the clinic processes will reflect a lack of care or priority on patient experience or clinical excellence. This is evident through my experience and many other complaints to them in the review. I don’t feel safe putting my health in the hands of people like that. I have been to this clinic for 4 years and taking my family there. I had lovely rapport with the other doctors but safely speaking none of us will be coming back again.

My first time at this clinic and I was very impressed with the doctor Sav she was very thorough and understanding as I had a fall. Also the nurse that cleaned up my injury was very lovely. Will be coming back there in the future

Saw Dr Chandana Gangodagama, told me I had a “viral infection.” I was in a lot of pain and told my symptoms were mild. Luckily I got an opinion at another clinic, who infact said it was a bacterial infection and I needed antibiotics. I called Parkwood green as I paid for a service that was not provided.. out of pocket $35 for what! Still waiting to hear back from the practice manager .. Oh and I’ll add that I told him I was allergic to penicillin, with his response being “so can you have amoxicillin?” …Of course not!

When the receptionist tells you she will call you back to find the referral for you because she has people waiting in line at the clinic. I guess I’m not an important customer. When you call reception for two weeks to email things to your GP and still can not get this task done. When your GP gives paperwork to reception to file and they don’t do it, twice When reception gets sent 3 copies from a specialist and they claim don’t see it and then a competent reception finds all three copies… Doctors seems to be great there but unfortunately some receptionists don’t seem to be doing an active job being a receptionist.

Made an appointment for my daughter the day before I was supposed to attend only to get a call the day of the appointment to say they wouldn’t see her now as she hadn’t attended the clinic in the last 12months. Really poor and empathy shown at all. Disgrace

Nurse Emrys at Parkwood Green Medical displayed such care for my son. We attended the centre and my son was quite unwell. She checked his fever, oxygen and assisted us when my son was sick in the bathroom. She made my son smile and went above and beyond to care for him while we waited to see the doctor. What a wonderful nurse - it is clearly a calling not just a job for nurse Emrys.

I genuinely think that I had a horrible appointment, Male doctor should review his health knowledge as he disregard all major symptoms presented, He believe that I was healthy woman even though I am ill (been diagnosed by another doctor at another clinic). Really sad that he is a doctor. I advise that someone should check if his degree is Valid.
