Came here on a Sunday eve for dinner. Staff was not rude but not welcoming either. No hello, no hi, just straight to the point, show me your certificate. Staff need some hospitality training. We ordered 4 dishes, and they served only three. After a while when I asked for fourth, the serving staff went to kitchen and brought it. So apparently all was there at but was not severed. This tells you the efficiency of staff. I regularly go to PappaRich in QV and the food quality served here was way bad than what is served in QV. actually the food was very bad. Even all the ingredients mention in the menu was not available in the serving. I am Never ever coming back here and do not recommend to anyone to come here.

Extremely rude staffs. No hello, no good bye. When they serve the food, they don't explain about the dishes at all, even the names. So we had to ask them every single ones to check whose the dish is, what is the sauce for and the side dishes belong to which dish etc. They just left the dishes and dissappeared. When they give the dishes or water bottle, never put gently. Besides for some reason, got a drink in take away cup. In the restaurant, there were 5 teams at that time, and the plastic take away cup was only for our table. About the food, one of my friend ordered 'fried noodle' but what she got was noodle with full of sauce. And even the sauce and the noodle didn't serve separately, so that couldn't even have it. One of worst experience that I ever had. No recommended. I don't want to give even an one star.

Food is okay, as is the case with all papa rich stores. I actually prefer Rotti Road in Highpoint to be honest. The reason I am giving a 3 star rating is for 2 reasons. 1. Staff weren't overly friendly, seemed unhappy in their jobs, which is understandable, but did make for a less enjoyable experience. And 2. The large number of boxes just being stored in the walkway makes for a ugly sight.

Good quality of food and customer services. I visited first time this place but it surprised me with taste and garnish. I’m in love with lychee drink 😜

my friend ordered a turmeric rice with chicken. when she cut into the chicken Maryland, the majority of the flesh was pink or and even red near the joint. we showed to the waitress and asked for another one, she spoke to the kitchen then came back and said this is how it should be. unfortunately we didn't think it was safe to eat and their food and service are not up to standard at all

They serves much less food than Papparich in Northland, all beautiful staff from other countries . Never recommend to anyone. When I mentioned there was no enough food , they simply replied “You have to pay more to get more, they always serve these much food.”

We came here for a nice meal before an activity we had planned within the hour, we were seated and served with menus quickly and as soon as we sat down. We order and food came unbelievably quick which was amazing because we were short on time, we tried the chicken satay which was very tasty however a little bit on the dry side. We also tried their Chicken Laksa which was also very tasty however I do wish it had some spice or a little kick to it! We tried their Roti which was delicious! We also tried some more of their noodles in a beef sort of gravy type which vegetables which was also really nice! We also tried a variety of their drinks and were so impressed! Their drink menu was delicious! I will be back here as it is the only laksa place in my area!

Well said. Food here was good. Fairly price. Just sometimes the food dint cook well. Like a chicken wing for the kids was overcooked. Perhaps they can improve next time. No doubt. The service are good. Fast and friendly.

Fairly priced. Service is quick. Flavour is there but average. Chicken Skewers was the highlight. Kind of wished I ordered 12 sticks! Place is nice and well decorated, however not very fond of the ambiance.

Foods so good!!! Right from the time we e entered were greeted by the fragrant smells wafting over from the kitchen. we were seated right away by staff, who were very friendly & helpful all evening ! The wait wasn't long & the food tasted so good. only slight negative was that some things weren't available on the menu but otherwise a fantastic experience & the place itself is so nicely decked out too !!

This is a popular Malaysian chain restaurant. First time to east Malaysian food in Melbourne. Authentic Malaysian flavour and we ordered the typical fried chicken thighs, laksa, roti with curry chicken and two drinks iced red beans and lychee with glass jelly.

Luksa was ok, not overly impressive. My chicken was dry and tough, very chewy. So I didn't finish it. Many years ago, I had good experience with PapaRich at other branch. I thought they would have to same standard but maybe my palate has changed as well. We just had an urge for Luksa and Epping was convenient. It wouldn't be my first choice to go for food though. Service was average.

We’ve been going here for a couple of years now and returned last weekend after a break. Two Punjabi girls serve Malaysian dishes, one with a caring smile, the other expressionless. The menu includes all the Malaysian favorites, from satay, mee goreng, kway teow, dumpling soup, chicken rice, bland fish ball soup. Drinks include grass jelly, and bandung. Yes this formula seems a little tired these days. The quality can vary to the Chef, yet it continues to attract clientele for something different.

    1. The food quality and the serving portion was definitely very disappointing. The food arrived within 10 minutes of ordering. We ordered Mee Goreng, Char Kway Teow and Hainanese Chicken Rice. I can’t fault the chicken rice. However, the mee goreng noodles were not cooked through and there were hardly any other fillings/ingredients in both noodle dishes (fish cake, prawn etc.) It was a fairly quiet night so there was no reason for the staff rush thru the cooking process. 2. As mentioned by another reviewer, staff did not look happy to be there. A good dining experience is not only about the food but also the friendliness of staff and a good service.

The food is nice here and generous in portions but every time we go and order Fish Head soup, we are told they've run out. That's fine but when it's the 5th time, not good. So we complained and our waitress didn't really care. We suggested they remove it from the menu but they weren't management. The young guy at the register was lovely and apologetic but the waitress... So, I recommend the place if you don't want Fish Head soup which I'm guessing is everyone but my husband.

Terrible experience here, unfortunately hadn't read the reviews. Firstly. We clearly wrote NO PEANUTS and discussed with the person at the service counter, and they brought us both dishes with peanuts. Second, the tiny amount of COLD Dahl on the Rhoti plate. Less than a tablespoon. Third, the cucumber was so dry and curled, obviously been cut for a long time. And finally, the food was so badly reheated, the oil had seperated from the curry. It did however, have the trademark Pappa Rich flavours which was what made it edible. We observed the people next us say that their food wasn't very good (unfortunately we had already paid) and during our meal, we observed another couple take one look at their meal and then get up and leave. I'm so sorry to the poor staff who had to deal with my upset. What was meant to be an enjoyable family dinner out, left us all with a sour taste in our mouth.

I have been a fan of this place for 3-4 years now. I liked the Asian cuisine & have been here several times. However, my recent experience was all but pleasant. I, with my wife & 2 kids visited the restaurant at 8:10 PM on a weekday & was immediately greeted by the waitress saying "please be quick, our kitchen closes by 8:30, so you'll need to order in the next 5 minutes". We somehow managed to do that, when they came back saying they do not have enough chicken & that we had to adjust to whatever was in-store. They were not even adaptable enough to swap the options on one of their dishes though the shortage was on their side. I requested for the entree to be served first but was told they can't do that & would get everything together to the table (as expected, the entree came at the very end). No napkins on table & when asked, the lady got us 3 napkins for the 4 of us! The food we had was no where as tasty as what it used to be a few months ago. In all, we left with a strong feeling that they somehow wanted to shut shop & get lost as soon as they could for that night & we came in as a nuisance to that plan. Thanks, but Never again!

Sorry to say 😐 - it wasn’t as good as the other ones. Felt as if the food was reheated & served and not made fresh. It may have been due to us visiting closer (40 mins) to closing time but still unfair. We were a bit disappointed after longing for roti kaya, so had to visit an another Papparich the next day to compensate 😁. Also, did you notice the quantity of dhal they served?!? 😏

I came to this restaurant with my mother and younger sister to try something new for a change. I was hoping for some good traditional Malaysian meals for lunch, and although the food was good, Both me and my mother came back home sick. We ended up having the worst stomach pains and puked everything we ate out. Keep in mind that was the only meal we have even after we came back home since our plates kept us full for the rest of the day. We assumed it was food poisoning, overall i don’t think I’ll come back to this restaurant.

Chicken skin and chicken with Nasi goreng tasted like the sea but was dry as the sand. The noodles swam in putrid sauce and was practically inedible. 0/10 don’t come here
