There are no words to explain how poor my experience was at the Mentone General Practice, specifically with Dr Beaumont. I would urge ANYONE considering this practitioner to reconsider. I visited the practice last night for a booked appointment to discuss my mental health concerns. With my appointment commencing ten minutes late, I went in prepared to talk about my issues and had also emailed through my blood tests from my previous practitioner for the Doctor to look at. Within 5 minutes of my appointment, without any prior discussion of my medical history, family history, personal circumstances I was offered anti-depressants (without any medical or family history taken). When I questioned the solution offered, I was told this was temporary whilst other options are considered. My test results were not looked at - and when I pressed for more, Dr Beaumont told me we had reached the time limit and she had two further patients (the clinic closed after me - it felt as though I was being rushed out). Furthermore I was assured that today, my test results would be examined and I would be contacted for follow up. Well - guess what, I haven't been contacted and I imagine I wont be. Shocking when I went there to discuss sensitive issues that were important to my well being and mental health. In short, I am horrified that an appointment of this sensitive nature was handled in this way with a rushed diagnosis and outcome which did not take in to consideration my medical or family history (which is incredibly dangerous) not to mention no desire for a thorough mental health plan or any follow up. I have researched what my experience should have been when broaching my mental health and the experience I had fell dangerously below a minimum standard. I had selected this practice and Doctor for the positive reviews - and a bio that mentioned care and attention in the field of Mental Health. My first experience in speaking up about my concerns was incredibly negative and I would encourage anyone with similar concerns to look elsewhere for proper support, a thorough care plan and follow up.

Great clinic! Professional, clean, bulk bill, highly recommend. I'd give it 10 stars if I could! Have been going there for many years with my family. Always treated us all in the most professional manner. Dr Azhar Rakhmetova is our family doctor & she's extremely thorough. Regular blood tests, x-rays, ultrasounds, referrals anything we need she checks. Absolutely Amazing! I’ve been treated by Dr Azhar Rakhmetova for 3 years and she is the best doctor I’ve ever had. I have some ongoing chronic diseases and she’s very informative, patient and helpful. She always investigates any issue, listens to my concerns and takes them seriously. Thanks to her, I can now deal with all my problems without medication. Even though I've moved from the area, I’m happy to travel the distance for her to remain my GP. The clinics staff members and nurses are also friendly and they always willing to help out my needs. I highly recommend.

Rude receptionist (Jen/ Jenny) In response to your call, they answer but place you on hold for several minutes. My appointment was 20 minutes late, and when I asked the customer service person when I would be checked, she said she doesn’t know. Furthermore, I have experienced cancellations of appointments without my knowledge.

Great clinic and doctors. Highly recommend for all GP needs.

Dr Ting is like no other Doctor I have ever come across. He genuinely cares and really listens to you. He is very thorough and Just so easy to talk to. My Girls were very worried about seeing a new Doctor but they felt instantly comfortable with Dr Ting. I can’t speak highly enough of this wonderful Doctor. I hope he never leaves.

Very good Drs, Very thorough and caring

The clinic is lovely, modern and clean. It is fully accessible on the ground floor with no steps, however the door is a little bit heavy. Although the new introduction of fees is slightly annoying it is understandable considering the current cost of living. Dr Jason Ting is by far the best Dr I have ever seen, he is diligent, patient and empathetic. Has a good understanding of mental health and always willing to listen without judgement. Additionally, having a pathology clinic on site is convenient for blood tests and other related tests.

Really good experience here. Felt embarrassed going but the doctor was really calm and totally helped me. I have seen a few of the doctors here now and they are all good especially if you are a younger person-totally go here as they will help you, not just rush you.

Best clinic and doctors that I've experienced. I'd specifically like to thank Dr Ting and Dr Whitaker for their care, attentiveness, understanding and recommendations. They have always taken the time to get to the root cause of issues and to thoroughly explain things to me - I've never felt rushed out of appointments, or treated as just a number. One of the receptionist was extremely snitchy with me and was giving me dull quick responses to my questions, which made me feel extremely uncomfortable while others were in the waiting room. This is my gp so I have to be here regularly. EDIT: we asked if any of my private information has been passed on, mentone general practice says they haven't disclosed my information when in fact a 3rd party got in contact with me asking to provide a service.

I moved to the area last year and was worried about finding a new ‘good doctor’ but needn’t have. These guys are fabulous. I have seen Dr Bahareh Khodaverdian a few times and she’s always knowledgeable, attentive and thorough. Highly recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Friends of mine recommended Dr Jason Ting. He is one of the best GP’s I came across. He takes his time to listen and understanding the root cause. Dr Jason is very carrying and you can tell he loves his job. I can’t highly recommend him enough.

I was very anxious coming in to do my Covid-19 vaccination. Thanks to Dr Ting who explained everything to me and made me feel at ease. Very glad that I got my vaccination here. The receptionists were also extremely polite and helpful. Highly recommend this clinic.

My husband has come to this clinic for over 4 years seeking help with a wide range of medical problems. Today he was seen by a Dr Dilan Ranasinghe to collect a referral for a problem that has persisted and been documented for over 4 years. He was told by the good Doctor that he can't be helped as he is not known to the Doctor..who's fault is this. He has been going to this practice for 4 years and you bring a clinic doctor to a GP practice and expect him to perform.

Dr Azhar Rakhmetova has been my family doctor for decades. I followed her from one practice in St Kilda to this one in Mentone. Even though the drive has extended 30 minutes each way, she makes up for it with her expertise, up to date knowledge, honesty and warmth. I will be seeing her until she retires. While attending this clinic, I've also had the privilege to see Dr Savka Sarmadjieva for skin related issues and Dr Jason Ting for male matters. Everyone including the receptionist is welcoming, professional and works from a trauma informed approach. Highly recommend this clinic and the team!

So good to have a caring group of doctors to go to. I love that they are open on the weekends so if you have a sick kid you can always be cared for rather than waiting hours in Emergency.

I urgently needed to see a doctor on the weekend and couldn't get in to the bulk billed place I usually go. OMG what a difference, goes to show you get what you pay for. I was seen by a caring doctor who really wanted to understand why I was sick, they didn't just write a script and shove me out the door in 3 minutes (like the other one). I will always come here now.

After searching for a few years to take my women's problems seriously, I finally found a group of doctors that really understand and want to help. There is nothing more valuable than your health so its worth paying a little bit more to have amazing doctors that care.

I’ve been here a few times and seen 3 doctors: Dr. Ting, Dr. Bahareh, & Dr. Nadereh. They’ve all been super welcoming and accommodating, spending time with me instead of ushering me out quickly. I felt the doctors actually cared about me! Very friendly admin staff too, Ella was a breath of fresh air to speak to on the phone!

Dr Mirasbek Bekbalotov is a good and responsible doctor who really finds out what the illness is, she also writes the prescription to make sure the illness can be cured. I felt sick and other doctors didn't know what it was. Dr Bekbalotov is the one who found out the reason. I don't have to guess why I feel sick and have the correct treatment, I feel grateful for meeting a fantastic doctor like Dr Bekbalotov.

Been going here for years and I can't believe I haven't rated it yet. One of the best practices in the area, I still come here even though we live 40 minutes away. Love all the doctors but especially Dr. Jason Ting, he's fantastic and so welcoming. Love all the staff too, everyone does a wonderful job, cheers!

I hate to leave bad reviews however I had a terrible experience at this doctors. There’s poor communication, my appointment was at 2 and I checked in with the receptionist (Madeline) and waited for over an hour only to see my doctor actually go home for the day Please communicate with your patients better!!

Excellence is the the world that I can use to describe our family doctor - Azhar Rakhmetova is our doctor for almost 20yrs. We have been following wherever she goes and no matter where. Great professional with empathy and extremely care. The clinic staff members are absolutely friendly with an incredible and lovely nurse that is always willing to help out our needs. My doctor unfortunately left the clinic but Dr Jason Ting has been a lifesaver and I feel in safe hands with my new doc. He listened, took the time to answer all of my questions and I can tell that he genuinely cares about his patients.

I have been going to this clinic for many years and the customer service from all staff has always been great. Dr Azhar Rakhmetova is the best doctor I have ever been to. She is attentive, understands my needs and was very proactive when I had an unknown issue that we were investigating. The nurses are also very helpful to take blood pressure, find test results, and other things that save time for the doctor. It is also very convenient that pathology is in the same building. I highly recommend this practice and all the doctors here.

Good quality service. Long appointments. I am never rushed up by a doctor. Great atmosphere. Even since the introduction of private fees, there are many options to get bulk billed for some consultations. Kids under 19 are always bulk billed - that is just great. Thank you.

This clinic is great! I’ve seen two of the doctors now and they are both friendly and professional and the same goes for the reception team, always making you feel welcome.
