It's no suprise that this clinic is sitting at 2.9 stars from 300+ reviews. I have worked in Healthcare for several years, and this place is by far the most disgusting display of medical care in the industry. Not all, but each staff member I have encountered at this clinic except for Dr. Manikam, and a couple of the loveliest receptionists (wish I knew their names) have been the most unprofessional, and disrespectful to deal with. One of their receptionists, supposed humanitarian Zahra Ghulami, is quite possibly the most immature, and manipulative administration professionals (and I use the term loosely) that I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I was told I was wasting their time because I "called non stop" - it was 4 calls over an 8 hour period. I had 2 telehealth appointments due to not receiving all test results in the first call, and made separate calls to confirm fax number, and then receipt of results from imaging being faxed through. Regardless, I am within my right to call as many times as I see fit to obtain MY test results or address concerns that affect my health. These are your jobs, to take calls, and assist people with their medical needs - my apologies for inconveniencing YOU. Trying to make out that I was the problem when in fact I wasn't an issue for the first doctor I had a telehealth appointment? Interesting right?. During my call with the second GP (Dr Tarik Albir) I was told that I "wasn't listening" and then hung up on, because I asked and repeated the same questions which was due to not being able to understand or hear him properly. Not only was there a language barrier but having me on speaker phone when you sound as though you're 6 feet away is probably not the best way to handle your patients health concerns via phone. I have worked with physically abusive dementia patients, and I can honestly say that I find the service and lack of care for humans at Duff Street medical way more unsettling. I looked past the long wait times for both in-clinic, and telehealth appointments and also the noise I heard around the disrespect to other patients, because none of that mattered to me too much, and also the few staff members I mentioned at the beginning of my review made it a nice enough experience for me. However, now having dealt with others, and knowing first hand what disgusting so called professionals occupy this clinic, who have zero compassion when dealing with human beings and the anxiety, stress and fear that comes from potential health issues -I will not put myself through further disrespect. I fear for the health of others who attend this clinic. Do yourselves a favour - and just don't.

Honestly don't know how this clinic is still open, shouldn't have to wait over an hour for a consultation when you book at time you should be able to be seen at that time. Stop over booking the clinic, by doing this hopefully the doctors there wouldn't feel so rushed to push there customers out with absolutely 0 help and 0 results. Ive been coming for years even before the moved however never again, do your self a favour and don't visit this poor excuse of a doctors.

I am a tourist visiting my family here in cranbourne. I fell horribly ill despite self medicating with both home and otc remedies that i had brought over. But it got really bad that I felt the need to visit a doctor, despite knowing how expensive it gets for tourists. Made prior online booking for my appointment on 3/11/2022 as advised by my family members here. Filled up necessary forms. Arrived on time and was made to fill up a same form manually, making me do a double job. Mentioned to the receptionist that ive already filled the same one online but was given a simple " sometimes it doesn't go through " with no apology. I Let it slide. Waited a good 15 mins without any updates while waiting at the main reception. Only to suddenly have a doctor to walk out to reception to call me in because i didnt know there was a patient waiting are further inside. This is the worst part, was attended to by doctor Kabir who wasnt friendly one bit and honestly borderline rude. Explained to him my conditions and to my horror he passed me symptoms off nonchalantly, making me feel like a child. He then gave me the most unprofessional and lame advise ive ever gotten from any medical professional for my symptoms: some very lame grandmother's home remedies. Literally told me to use eucalyptus oil, drink tea, gargle warm water etc, and told me i can go back to reception for my receipt, with no medications what so ever, despite me reiterating how bad its gotten after all my efforts of self treatment. TL;DR So basically I spent 80 dollars to refill a form i already filled online, to be served 15 mins later than my appointment time while others stroll right in after me and getting attended to first, only to be have my conditions taken lightly and passed off with zero professionalism, care and empathy. And no medications. UTTERLY DISGUSTED. RUINED MY HOLIDAY. TRULY A HORRIBLE WAY TO TREAT A SICK TOURIST.

Please don’t see Dr. Jamila Ayobi. She’s a very rude and obnoxious GP. This useless woman actually stood over me and began speaking in a very rude and unprofessional way. I was surprised that a doctor was acting to a patient in that manner. I could not complete my consultation with her. I had to walk out just to avoid the situation going beyond my control. I’ve seen couple of doctors at this practice who are all good. This is my first time of seeing Dr. Jamila Ayobi, and I felt really intimidated and disrespected of how she spoke and to me. And if you’re not white, do not see her as well. She’s racist and does not respect black or colour people.

My colleague was suffering chest pain and high blood pressure, we showed up at the clinic unannounced and she was assessed with ECG and all within less than 10 minutes. She was given the all clear. The nurses were fantastic and reassured her that she did the right thing by going in, thank you Duff st Medical clinic.

Went to see the doctor today for my daughter, i booked a double appointment because she needed a care plan , had to wait an extended amount of time, which we did and i get it , its hard to be seen on the exact time. However when it was our turn the doctor turned around and told us she didn't have time to do what we had specifically come for, even though we booked a double appointment , we still only had 10 mins . Then proceeded to show us the list of people waiting still . I don't know why they couldn't wait like we had to... but no i had to leave with my daughter MINUS what we originally came for and this all took from 11.40am to 1pm pretty sad i think!

I have always had good things to say about this place. Until today. I wanted to do a Telehealth booking with a GP to obtain a medical certificate, as I have Covid and I don’t want to spread it around. I have been told that the appointment will cost me $65, but to come in, it is still bulk billed. I said fine, I will come in, then the receptionist said but you have Covid. I know that, but why should I be penalised for doing the right thing? Surely people with communicable diseases should be exempt . I am sure so many others will put people at risk because of this practice of charging for Telehealth appointments, and for some, including myself an upfront payment is not an option currently.

Avoid at all costs! Worse clinic I've ever been to. I saw Dr Jamila Ayobi. She was rude and condescending. Made it very clear she won't do a mental health plan because it's too much paperwork and go back to my other GP which I explained has left the old practice. Told me to call Lifeline or Beyond Blue. When I made the appointment online I specified the reason was for a mental health plan and she said she doesn't do them. Why accept the appointment then? Waste of my time.

waited an hour to be seen for 2 minutes. I went in complaining about back pain to be told to “take it easy”. he refused to refer me to a physio stating “that is for bad pain”. like i would be at the GP for anything less than chronic. i asked for tips for reducing pain… “go to a physio they will give you strategies” I would if you gave me a referral you muppet. bloke spent more time asking how much alcohol i drink on a weekly basis than actually helping. would not recommend at all. dr Isaac needs a new career path i reckon.

Every time I have visited the clinic always had a great response. Although the clinic is busy all the time the doctors made sure to attend and listened to your issues. I hope it stays the same. Thank you to staff as well they are always kind and attentive.

Made an appointment just to see a doctor for follow up, I’ve waited for 1 hour then to be told a further 15 minutes, request for another doctor but was told no other doctor available at the clinic was unable to stay due to another appointment at 3:30pm. so i made another appointment waited another 1 hour and a half.. it’s bloody ridiculous a proper etiquette courtesy call would be a professional manner expected from the doctor or from the receptionists.

My wife and I have been long time patients of the Duff Street Medical Complex and keep coming back as extended hours enable me to work days and get my mobility challenged wife to the doctors of an evening. All the doctors are great but our favourite is Dr. Boctor, who will always take the time to address your needs without feeling rushed or just a number. He is very personal and always takes interest in how you are, mentally and physically. We cannot speak highly enough. Well done!

Went into the clinic today for a 3rd degree burn on my leg and to have a chat about potentially speaking to someone about a mental health plan. Asked my maybe 10 questions and prescribed me with pills for depression and provided a referral for a psychologist. I had asked who the psychologist was and how can he help. My answer was "come back Tuesday as I have 8 other patients waiting" I then asked him to look at the burn on my leg to be told again "I have 8 patients behind you, please come back Tuesday"! Name of GP was Dr Zakir Hossan. This is absolutely inconceivable!

This is possibly the WORST clinic!!!! Dr Jamila Ayobi and Dr Kabir are the most inhumane, incompetent and ruthless doctors I have ever come across. I don’t understand how clinics and doctors like these exists within the healthcare system like Australia. There are so many negative reviews on these two particular doctors, why doesn’t the practice manager do something about it. It is time they launch an investigation into this, and it is to get the media’s attention on this to shed some light on it. Enough is enough!!! There are so many people complaining yet nothing is done about it. During my appointment with Dr Jamila, I was made to wait for 1:15 minutes. During my wait time she saw so many other patients who came way after me. I asked the receptionist about twice when se would see. After over an hour the doctor had messaged the receptionist to tell me that she doesn’t want to see me without any explanation. This is extremely unprofessional and ethical!!! Please save yourselves your time and energy and find other clinics to go to. And read the reviews before you book in with them.

Appointments doesn't mean anything here. They will spam you with text messages and won't ask once you are there. Waited an hour for my appointment. Didn't get any calls or texts once I was there to confirm if I was attending the appointment. Up on enquiry "I needed to see the front desk". Sorry the doctor has left already. While I was sitting the same lady called another patient to ask if he was attending the appointment. Ridiculous....!!!!!

How about just don’t come here u less you have a WHOLE DAY FREE to constantly work around stupid wait times bc they don’t know how to book appointments and allocate appropriate timing. 98% of the time you’ll wait over an hour past your appointment to be seen. They have no care towards their patients. They are the worst clinic. See doctors talking I’m hallways doing nothing. I’ve sent multipl email complaints with no responses or acknowledgement. This place needs to be fixed. Such a disgusting place. Shouldn’t even be called a medical clinic.

Absolutely disgusted. I wait for 35 minutes in the waiting room with my 3 year old. For then to be taken out to the foyer and had my 3 year old seen to right next to a trash can! The doctor tells me it's a viral infection he doesn't need antibiotics. Then goes on to say go get him a covid test and come back in 48 hours and she'll give him antibiotics! Clearly missed the red spots on the roof of his mouth and the fact that he has strep throat!! Lucky I put my gut instincts first and went to another doctor! Will not be coming back!

Terrible experience with booking system. I made a childhood vaccination appointment though hotdoc - turned up to my appointment 15 mins early to ensure all new patient paperwork was completed without holding the doctor up and I was turned away because the GP I booked into does not do childhood immunisations. A General practitioner unable to perform a routine vaccination - how ridiculous!!!

Waited two hours finally got into the doctor to be rushed and nurse took 30 minutes for a simple needle deciding it was the right time to take rubbish to the dumpster. Most times I’ve been there I’ve had to wait anywhere from 1-2 hours past my appointment time just be seen. Doctors are all very rude and many have laughed at my lack of medical knowledge. One time I had to go to the hospital after a doctor gave me false information at this clinic and causing a risk in my pregnancy!

When the supported accomodation take my son Jacob to the clinic they are very professional, most of the time there is not much of a wait to see the doctor. Staff are very friendly, helpful, dedicated and great listening and understanding your needs. I would recommend this clinic in the future. Impressed and will be here for a long time.

The worst clinic I have ever been to. Rude doctors, lier and time waster receptionists. It’s a place where people refer due their health concerns but in real it’s just about their money and business. I took my son to this clinic after he had a fall and had a head injury. The receptionists lied to me saying that the doctor will call you in 15 to 20 minutes but I never received a call even after I came back home at 10 pm. Poor Afghan women go to see doctor Jamila in this clinic due to their language barriers but she misuses her status and behaves like a boss and a slave.

My GP left this clinic quite a long time ago so I go to Clyde to see her. I had been going to this clinic since I moved to Cranbourne 15 yrs ago. As I have a heart condition and 2 of my children have disabilities. My ex was misdiagnosed twice in this clinic with gastro or constipation and I had to call an ambulance the next day- he had diverticulitis twice. this happened twice!! by Dr A. I was involved in a car accident, I didn't feel anything at the time, the next day my left fingers were knumb and my neck hurt. I went to the dr's they said I'd be fine. I went back a week later they did an X-ray it said something is wrong, but my Dr A didn't read it properly. and left me in pain and I was dropping things and migraines were bad. I decided to see a different Dr there Dr N who I still see. they read the report and said omg you need a ct immediately and rang up I was in within 1 hr. My spinal cord was crushed by 3 vertebrae. my result was sent straight to a neurosurgeon and I was in hospital the next day. So NO IM NOT HAPPY WITH THIS CLINIC YOU COULD END UP VERY HURT. OR DEAD. Also I went in and asked for pain killers for my neck after surgery and they wouldn't let me see a Dr. So I waited and every Dr. that came out, mind you this was in front of everyone in the waiting room and my children. They yelled NO WAY YOU DONT COME HERE ANYMORE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE LIKE THE HOSPITAL because I threatened to sue the doctor. what happened to looking after your patient???. They made me cry I hope there happy!! My doctor had left and they LIED and said she was on holidays What The HECK?? This is there conditions of seeing patients currently they are unbelievable

Extremely disappointed with Duff street now. I have been going here for years, have seen the same doctor 23 times since 2021 to have him tell me the last 3 visits I need to go to my “regular doctor”, even after showing him proof that he is the only doctor I’ve visited in the last 3 years (I always book through hot doc so have a record) he flat out refused to help me. One of these times I visited him I needed a referral completed in preparation for gastric sleeve surgery to which he responded that if I have any problems after to not see him. The next time I needed something in preparation for the surgery I booked with another doctor at the same clinic and she was also hesitant to help me and also told me not to come back to her after if anything happens. Absolutely disgusting honestly. The last time I went in I was a complete mess and begging for help to be completely dismissed by someone that should have an obligation to helping ANYONE.

Hi to those who choose to use 'Duff Street Medical Clinic located in Cranbourne West. I first attended this Clinic in 1985 and remain a current patient. I've always found the doctors and nurses to be professional, caring and pleasant. I'm happy to recommend this Clinic based on my long association and feel you will also share the same opinion when you visit for treatment or medical advice. Regards, Rob (Current Patient)

Have been to a few other clinics around the Cranbourne/Narre Warren area and this is hands down the best one by far. The reception team are always lovely, and the online appointments system makes booking really easy. Dr Thilini is our GP there and she is the most thorough doctor I’ve ever had, and she also now sees my two little boys too; she’s amazing with them! Thank you to everyone there, you are doing an incredible job :)

I appreciate the clinic's flexibility in offering appointments when I need them, which is a real asset for a parent of twins. However, I've consistently experienced long wait times in the waiting area, which can be especially challenging with babies. It would be great if they could work on improving the timeliness of appointments to make the experience more efficient for parents.

Great doctors. Dr Thilini is fantastic and we have been seeing her for years. Inside is very clean and professional. The car park could use a Gardner to come in and clean it up. There’s a bit of debris, weeds and rubbish around the car park. The outside may look a bit dirty but the inside is fantastic. Would give 5 star if outside was more presentable.

I’ve been going this to this clinic for about 12 or 13 years ago. I always felt welcome every time I come to the clinic. The staff and doctors are nice and helpful. I will continue to go and and see my GP there. I also hope they continue their great service to the people that needed help and care.

At best, this clinic is good for people needing last minute appts, pathology and quick prescription/doc certificate. Waiting times are between 15-40 mins on average WITH an appt. The doctors/clinic treat you like a number, you're in and out within a few minutes. The doctors do not spend any time trying to get to the root of the problem, they're just treating symptoms. They do lack empathy and I definitely would not recommend going to them for mental health issues, you're likely going to leave much worse off which is horrible but absolutely the truth coming from someone who's been to many clinics about mental health, this clinic is the worst for mental health treatment. Go somewhere else for your mental health, please. Your life and the treatment you get is important! I have noticed they have been thorough most times with my kids however once again they only treat symptoms not to try to find a cause. There are much better quality doctors and clinics to go to, this is a clinic I've gone to on and off for a few years, I never willingly go there. It's just a clinic that usually has availability last minute and obviously there is a reason for that.

Shocking experience, felt like I was in a McDonald’s and inconveniencing the worker (Aka the doctor) just by simply talking about WHY I was even there, not to mention the “help “ I got was subpar, and the points I made were breezed over almost completely. I will never return to this doctor surgery unless I absolutely have to and I’m only leaving this review as this isn’t the first time I’ve experienced situation similar at your practice

Very thorough doctors… as I live 140kns from the clinic I booked a telephone consultation but I had to pay a fee of $65 even though I have a low income health care card and normally I am bulk billed… I feel if the patient lives so far away the rule should be adjusted

This place reflects the state of our medical system. Go for the sniffles but anything more complex and you will be made to make an appointment almost daily. They don’t access information passed on from previous clinics and waste time. Unfortunately you get what you pay for now. A sad state of our once enviable medical system.

I have been coming here for over a decade and i always see the same doctor(s). They are all aware of my medical history and family history, so it should have come to no surprise when i requested a simple referral for an ADHD assessment from Jamila. I was refused the referral because "there is no history of adhd on my file" (why would there be? that was why i'm trying to get an assessment done), and then there was a big speech about how that even if i get a diagnosis, don't go to her for meds because she refuses to give them to me. She insisted i got the idea of an ADHD assessment off an internet questionnaire when i never mentioned it to begin with. I did mention my family history of ADHD, which was apparently not good enough grounds for a referral. I was made to feel dismissed and like a medication seeking junkie just for requesting a simple referral. Not once did i myself even mention getting medication because i am only after the referral. Obviously Jamila has some personal feelings about ADHD that clouded her ability to assist me to her full potential. Great clinic to go to if you need a med cert, otherwise if you're looking for proper care and understanding, you won't find it here.

After I waited an hour I had to talk to the doctor about 3 things 1. Being my eyes are hurting which I was going to get a 2nd opinion from the optomitris but the doctor recommended I wear a hat at work or a shade or change the lights at work to be a bit darker (I told him I work in a shopping centre so that didn't help) 2. I was having sharp chest pains and got to the point where I'd be pushing on my chest to relieve some of the pain and all he said was that would be a reaction from my eyes hurting... Don't think eye pains would cause sharp chest pains everytime I breathe but okay. Then when I said one more thing he seemed disinterested and like he wanted me to hurry up but I told him I've had my period for 3 weeks now and it's never in the last 6 years I've had the rod it has never been like that and the reason for having the rod is because I have severe back pains that leave me in the fetal position crying for a week and his response was "take out the rod" well then we have some more issues to deal with. Never coming back.

Disappointed that the last 3 appointments iv had have been 90 minutes wait 2 in the carpark. I'm happy to social distance and wait in the car for up to 20mins, but I would suggest calling clients to let them know the Dr is running behind and to reschedule so we can wait in the comfort of our home, instead of me calling after 1 hour to remind them I'm still waiting for my 5min appointment . Another recent appointment was a phone appointment for a prescription to be filled ment for 5pm waiting 90mins again by the time I went to pick u my script 10mins after phone appointment being on a Saturday the Medical centre was closed luckily receiptionist let me in but the chemist was shut(all chemis were shut). To bad if you have a servere Migraine!

Dr Isaac is the rudest doctor I have ever come across, an absolutely horrible person. I only booked an appointment with him as Dr Thilini was fully booked for the day, as I wanted to get a swab done for RSV for my 2 year old as there were some cases at his daycare and he was showing some mild symptoms. As a duty of care to my colleagues and other children I did the right thing by going to get my son tested so I could either send him back knowing he didn't have it or keep him home knowing he did. I waited over 45 minutes for Dr Isaac (who didn't seem to be taking in many patients so not sure why the wait) and when I did get to see him basically told me I was wasting my time and refused to give me a referral and did not even look at my child. He was so incredibly rude I was left in tears and thankfully the lovely girl at reception managed to fit me in with Dr Thilini who actually checked my son and did the swab right then and there. Dr Isaac has no people skills whatsoever. Dr Thilini is absolutely wonderful and I know now never to see anyone else as they are clearly not up to her exceptional standard of care.

I have been treated so well by Dr Thilini. My daughter wasnt administered antibiotics on the first visit and was told that its viral and it will get cleared off. At any other medical centres that i have previously visited we both have been dosed with heavy antibiotics and never been given a proper diagnosis. I would highly recommend Dr Thilini as she understands the patient and does a thorough research before administering medication and giving out antibiotics. I am glad to find this clinic where all staff and pharmacists are caring and friendly!

Very unprofessional place. Tried to find a new doctor and decided to see Dr Jamila Ayobi. Waited an hour and a 10 minutes for her prioritise a child that was booked in after my appointment , so was a mess and walked in with her not caring about the appointment only for her to get me in and out and didn’t actually help me one bit , the receptionist were really nice though!!

Dr Boctor is kind, considerate, thoughtful and respectful of my gender and age which I appreciate more so in recent years. He has maturity and years of experience which he displayed in dealing with my (medical) situation using both an honest and realistic approach.

5 star for Dr boctor but receptionist was very very rude.. i called 10 pm because my daughter was sick and receptionist said we are going to close,( closing time is 11pm) why didn’t you bring early when you know your daughter is sick..? Then we requested her and we went there then she again showed her rude behavior.. I don’t know how you hire these kind of receptionists…

I think this 1 star is also too much for this clinic, called me for a appointment for 10:50 and I am waited 1 hour before I got in, doctor forgot to add me in the list , rude receptionist, she said talk to doctor I can’t do anything why did you book me if there is no spot. Wasted my 1.5 hour there.

Do NOT see Dr Jamila. She is absolutely awful and should not be working with people. Most uncompassionate and unprofessional doctor I have ever dealt with. I went to see her as my usual doctors were completely booked out. I've just gotten out of hospital after having a miscarriage with complications and an infection. I just wanted my results and a check up as I was still get chest and stomach pains. She started yelling at me that I was confusing her and that she'd only deal with one thing. She didn't give me my results and asked what exactly I wanted her to do about it. She then started acusing me of having covid because of the chest pains? And told me to just take panadol. She ended the consultation by telling me this was not something I bring up in a first consultation and to go back to my old practice and refused to do anything for me. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because I have been seen by Dr Sunimal for this reason and he has been kind and efficient.

Came for appointment for my very sick 1 yr old son and was left waiting over an hour just to get the Dr I wanted swapped for one I didn't know, and the Dr was not thorough enough, barely looked at my son. we had to go to another practice to get a proper diagnosis. 1/10 I will not be coming back

Reception staff very friendly and helpful and know my families names. Our doctor is fantastic Dr Thilini and caring, thorough and easy to talk to. All other doctors are pretty good also apart from two doctors I refuse to even see. Treatment room staff great along with pathology. Great there is a pharmacy attached. The only issue is the waiting times even first thing in the morning. I feel a part of the medical family.

Bulk Billing Professional Service Friendly Staff I am always welcome and the after hours is a bonus so taking time of work is no an issue. The online booking system is very effective as well as calling staff. Doctors are patient and considerate and haven't lost their humanity.

Ample on site parking. Clean, large clinic with lots of chairs and space, attached pharmacy trades afterhours which was highly convenient. Dr Peter is the best Doctor we've ever had, he has supported the health and well-being of our entire family for the last 3 years, my toddler adores him even after all his needles! Highly capable, knowledgeable and friendly Doctor; Always worth the wait!

You won't bulk bill over the phone but I can come in and it's fine? That makes no sense to me. I'd never come in here again, last time I waited half an hour after my appointment was scheduled to be seen.
