This is quite long but, if you are thinking of booking with Dr Susan Cox please read. I have just moved to Melbourne recently and I have a hard time finding medical professionals who can understand me thoroughly due to my complex medical history. I booked in with Dr. Susan Cox and tried to explain this as soon as our consult started. She completely dismissed me, didn’t ask for any of my diagnoses, medical history, nothing. She told me to just tell her what I needed today, I explained the problem and the information & advice the paramedics gave me. I told her that I have a fear of hospitals so I didn’t want to stay overnight as advised, she said “that was stupid”. While she was taking my blood pressure, I tried to give her some more background so I could get as much info in as possible during the short consult. That I have CPTSD, autism among other things (which once again, she didn’t even ask about my history & diagnosis) and was interrupted with a finger in my face “SHHHH stop chattering” & then something about talking while getting blood pressure taken, sure this could have had an impact on the blood pressure result or whatever but it felt like I was being spoken to like a dog rather than a person and could most definitely be said in a nicer way. The way she spoke literally made me CRY right in front of her. I told her I’m not comfortable with her and I would rather see someone else, she then said here have this beta blocker and off you go. No apology, nothing. She ended up bulk billing my appointment. I hate leaving negative reviews, but I think it’s important to share my experience with others so they don’t experience what I did. Too long, didn’t read: Dr. Susan Cox talked to me like a dog, completely dismissed everything I said & made me cry.

I truly regret not reading the 1-star reviews before booking. They are spot on. I was blindsided with hidden fees, and as an international student, I felt particularly taken advantage of. My consultation with Dr. Susan was remarkably brief and lacked the essential checks I anticipated. To make matters worse, both the staff and doctor couldn't provide a clear explanation for the unexpected charges. Their approach was unwelcoming and bordering on hostile, especially for someone visiting for the first time. My advice? RUN!

PMC took care of me with a sudden lower back pain during my trip. The doctor and receptionists were all kind, and I was able to receive appropriate medical care and prescriptions. Thank you.

This is the only clinic I’ll ever go to again. The whole experience at Paramount was amazing. Dr. Susan Cox was very kind and easy to talk to and she consulted my problems carefully. The receptionists were all very nice and friendly. I was scared to go to any clinics in the beginning but they all made my experience easy and enjoyable. Thank you!

The doctors are good but, they are never on time.

We called for booking last moment for emergency situation,only 1 hour before close the clinic. But they put our name straight to see the doctor. Their service was above the standard and professional. We were really appreciated, highly recommend !!!

I don't really appreciate the way how one of nurses treated me. She was very elegant and handed over prescription without any explanation, I ended up being rushed to pay. At least, something valuable should be demonstrated if nurses intervene.

Doctor didn’t want to prescribe me “Ozempic” because I am just a visitor and there is a shortage in the country. She told me I should get it at my home country. Forced me to book a second consult with her and a lab, while I could have shown her recent lab on my phone. It felt like she is discriminating me because I don’t have a PR. Apart from That she was sharp and witty, if she would not be so arrogant I could have imagined her as my new physician.

Worst customer service ever. I’ve been going this clinic for 6 years but recently the receptionist are getting worse such like no clear delivery from receptionist every time. Each receptionist says different things which is made me went there two times just for 5 minutes seeing a doctor. Every time I need to wait more than 30 minutes from my appointment time. So what’s the point you set me an appointment time ? Such waste my time!

Best place to go. Doctors and nurses are so good. I would recommend everyone to visit this place.

The reception staff were professional and good hygiene practices set up with masks and sanitiser. The appointment was on time with a Doctor who was thorough and answered questions and explained the procedure well.

Dr Cox has been my regular GP for over 6 years and I initially went to Paramount as they were really close when working in the CBD. Due to their professional and understanding staff I've continued to see Paramount as my regular GP even though I don't work close by anymore. Dr Cox is an amazing and compassionate GP who has been extremely helpful throught a complex injury following a vehicle accident.

We had very efficient and helpful visit with Dr Andrius Balnionis. His professionalism and knowledge made us feel safe and calm. Definitely recommend their service.

These guys were professional and friendly! I really appreciated the good communication from the reception staff when the Doctor was running a bit late. Dr Balnionis was professional and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

I saw dr Andrius today. Lovely dr. But the clinic is very expensive. They were 30 mins late to see me and I was in there for less than 10 mins (easy consult, just needed a script) and I was charged $95. Sure, I’ll get $42 back from Medicare, but still. I understand why people don’t go to their doctor until/unless they have to..

Great service and friendly staff. However the Nurse working in Pathology seemed to have difficulty with everything - e.g. taking my blood pressure had to be done about 6~7 times trying both arms (never happened to me before), and also did something to tear my skin (?) on my arm when removing the needle after taking blood. By far the most painful removing of a needle I've experienced. And though she was wearing a mask, was sniffing the whole time - which was ironic, given the sign at the front saying if you have symtoms...etc.

Went in yesterday for a very sore throat and found that I was unable to have an in person appt because of my symptoms. Nonetheless they worked with me as a traveler to call my non Australian phone number and have a telehealth appt where the doctor prescribed me medication for tonsillitis. Today I feel x10 better and am so grateful to have come here! Only critique I have is that they should have asked me my symptoms beforehand so we could have initially had a telehealth appt instead of me going in person. Still great nonetheless!

Ever since I moved to Melbourne 5 years ago, this is my go to Clinic! The Doctors here are very professional and caring, so does the nurses and receptionist. They are very polite, helpful and knowledgeable! I even recommended my husband go to see them after my first visit, now they are our Family Clinic. We'd visit them every Christmas and give them chocolate to show our appreciation. For all the hard work and care they provided to our family. The counter staff are courteous, efficient and knowledgeable. The doctor seeing me is professional and is able to communicate with his patience attentively.

The place is clean and hygienic. Had to wait 20 mins before I could meet the doctor. Doctor and staff are quite friendly and caring.

This place is very unprofessional, prioritize seeing doctor’s family member/personal friends, while making other patient wait hours in waiting room. Appointment time means nothing here if you don’t know the doctor. Ugh. Very disappointed.

As a Brit, I recently got an ear infection, God knows how. I marched in and asked for an appointment and got one within 2 hours of my arrival meaning I could carry out my errands and come back for it. Dr S Cox was extremely friendly and gave great advice on how to navigate the Australian healthcare system regarding insurance. If I had any other health concerns, I would return to this establishment.

The doctor I had(Susan) was extremely efficient and brilliantly diagnosed me, however the waiting time and the precautions for covid was quite extreme and tiring… But overall a quick and good experience

My friend used this service because he was feeling unwell while traveling. I arrived 5 minutes before my appointment time, but they told me that people with fever symptoms had to stand outside, so I waited while filling out the initial consultation form, but even after 40 minutes, there was still no available exam room, so I had to wait outside. I had to stand and wait. Perhaps from a sanitary standpoint, there were no chairs outside so we couldn't even sit. Even though it's a Monday lunchtime, most of the chairs inside are empty and it's very stressful to have to wait outside. If a room is not available at a time close to the reservation time, there is no point in making a reservation, so I don't think you should leave it open during that time. (PS: My friend had the flu. I think the system of forcing patients who are not feeling well to stand outside for long periods of time should be fixed.)

I usually go to Paramount Medical Clinic in CBD, and I'm thoroughly impressed every time. The staff are nice and demonstrated exceptional professionalism and empathy. The GP was knowledgeable and provided comprehensive care. The clinic was clean, spacious, and inviting. Highly recommended for outstanding healthcare services. Definitely one of the best out there :)
