    My experience at Anaconda Preston has been nothing but positive, it’s generally a get back what you put in type of exchange. I’ve personally witnessed some bad exchanges in this store and frankly if you’re going to be rude to minimum wage staff, then you don’t deserve the quality customer service the rest of us are used to. The value for money is great and the staff always give good advice to the best of their knowledge. Staff aren’t always going to know the ins and outs of every single one of their thousands of items which is normal and should be the case. Despite what other people may say there is frequently staff on floor available to help, you just may have to use your words and ask for a hand (like an adult). That being said it never hurts to do your own research too!

    Good range but the service was dreadful. There was no one in store to help and girl who served me rolled her eyes when I asked to check on a price, then barely spoke to me. Poor customer care.

    Really unpleasant experience. Questionable return policy for faulty goods (I was told store credit only, I was only offered refund when I outlined Australian Consumer Law regarding faulty products). Staff are incredibly rude. When I explained my right to a refund for faulty goods under Australian consumer law I was told "Whatever, good story". I was eventually told that "I can't be bothered talking to you" and given a refund. If you don't want a horrible consumer experience, steer well clear and shop elsewhere!

    Aside from the poor person working the register, there were no staff to be found anywhere in the store. This place was basically self service and no chance of getting advice or assistance. The shoes section was ransacked with little to no stock, and the mens clothing section was a complete shambles with no apparent organisation, mixed up brands on the racks, stock in piles on the floor. Whoever is managing this store needs to read a few of these reviews and fix things.

    There's no staff to help with shoes. So I had to look at the range and find my shoes by myself. That said I found a pair to my liking but for $200 I'd think there could be one staff member working at shoes. Probably better to find another location if you prefer some sales assistance when shopping.

    No service Preston. Lined up to purchase an item during my(rushed) lunch break, store was not busy at the time. Was asked to wait a few minutes while the staff member unwrapped a chair. Waited for a minute before leaving, left item on the counter. I like going into stores to see what I'm buying, but this is a prime example why bricks and mortar stores can't compete. Don't like punishing a store with a low ranking because of one bad experience but how else can adjustments be made?

    Thought of buying the Rainbird jacket since it has 30% discount. The original price is $89.99 on price tag. Went to the cashier end up telling me they were gone up the price. But why the price tag didn’t change and also the discount tag didn’t even update as well?

    20 Jan 21. I was fortunate enough to be served by Alex who went out of his way to help me including checking stock outback. At the register I met Ari, who again went out of his way to help.including advising of discounts through membership. Friendly, made me feel importantl. Superb customer service. Both should be considered for employee of the month. There was also a young girl in the register area who was jovial, and joined in the conversation. What a fabulous team. I would give more stars if I could. JAN

    All the staff were a pleasure to deal with. Spoke to two on the phone at separate occasions to hold some stock for me, nothing was a problem. Then went in with my two little kids and a staff member TOM was excellent. Very knowledgeable about stock and its purpose. Bought more than I needed because he explained everything so well. Not pushy at all and even helped take things to my car. Tom was training staff at the same time and didn’t hinder the process. Very well stocked and clean with ample parking.

    One of the floor guys was good once I found him, felt like he was the only worker at the premises. The cashier could learn some customer service skills, did not talk or even ask if i was a member. If the item i was looking for was not exclusive to Anaconda, I would definitely not shop here.

    OK, so it's a small Anaconda store and it didn't stock what I wanted. And staff were in demand, so in short supply. But once I gained the attention of one, he was very helpful, checking which other store had the item I sought.

    I recently visited the Anaconda Preston store and was quite disappointed with the sheer lack of service. The staff didnt even acknowledge customers and, in some cases, blatantly ignored them. It was quite appalling to experience such non-service. What an absolute failure, in all areas of basic retailing. I hesitate to call out specific staff, but unfortunately, the older blond woman was particularly inattentive, and walked away from the counter when people obviously needed assistance. Basic principles of retailing, such as greeting customers, asking if they need assistance, and smiling, seemed to be overlooked. I believe the area manager should intervene and address the staff issues promptly. It's crucial to either retrain the staff in fundamental customer service skills or consider necessary changes. A little courtesy goes a long way in enhancing the overall shopping experience. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works towards improving the customer service at the Preston store.

    Couldn’t find one person in store willing to help me. Then after having to stand at the registers and wait to ask for help, I got told they would send someone to the tent section to help and I was there for over 15 minutes waiting and no one came! While I was waiting I called Epping store and they helped me over the phone.

    The assistant was serving a customer at the till, but told them they would have to go to another till however, he didn't tell me, and so I was stood there like a pork chop. Things didn't get much better on the other tills either .... absolutely useless :(

    This store has become my favourite for camping equipment. Great range at good prices and most of all, great customer service. Thank you Cody and Jamie for helping me on warranty for a stove. Made life very easy.

    Take your price match off your store policy if you are not going to honour it. Terrible customer. Experience at the preston store, manager couldn't even do basic percentage Maths, other customers had to calm her and correct her.

    Absolutely terrible customer service. Got my reel spooled at anaconda epping. On my way home realised they did a terrible job it looked like a birds nest. Went to anaconda preston to get a refund or exchange for new line as it’s close to home and they refused to give it to me eventhough i had a receipt from 20 minutes ago. Scarlet (the lady who served me) was being extremely rude barely looked at my receipt and said “how do i know you didnt do this yourself?” Clueless that it has the date and time on the receipt and it would have been impossible to get there so quick if i spooled it myself. Told her to ring anaconda epping to confirm that it was them that spooled the reel and she refused. Very unhappy with the rude staff i am taking it further with head office

    I ordered a dry bag online during a sale and they emailed me a few days later and told me they could not fulfill my order. I went in to the stored and they had plenty in stock. I didn't have time to shop around as I needed the dry bag so had to buy one full price which cost me an extra $45 than the sale price. Terrible business practices.

    Shocking experience, went in here to get a refund on a $180 tent, as it came damaged from the day before when purchased. They refused to give a refund and could only do a gift card. Not a happy customer. I would like a refund

    Pathetic and rude service from the manager at this store. Bought an Oztrail fridge which completely packed up just before a 2 week road trip during the holidays and still within the warranty period, and was told there was nothing they could do and wouldn’t be giving me a replacement or refund unless I personally sent it away for assessment, even though I was about to leave for a trip and it was still well within warranty, forcing me to spend another $1200 to buy another fridge. I personally dropped the faulty fridge at a oztrail repairer just to be told that I had to go back to Anaconda days later to get a replacement fridge. The manager at Preston anaconda provided 0 customer service, not even the number for the assessor he insisted it must be taken to. Even the customers in line who witnessed the conversation were amazed and shocked at the rudeness and lack of help I received for a product which was still under warranty and brand that is widely sold by anaconda and should be backed. Won’t be spending another cent with Anaconda and will advise everyone else the same.

    I am not sure if you are underpaying, understaffing, or just super bad at hiring but it appears the consistent experience at Preston store is awful customer service (see all the other bad reviews). If you can find a staff member they are apathetic, begrudgingly finding stock, judgmental. But I will say they are pretty efficient at the counter getting the money from people. I have tried to phone to give examples, but no surprise there is no answer. Also left a message with your regional manager.

    We have ordered a swag for delivery, on January 2nd 2023 & its12 days later & still waiting. We r arriving in Feb to pickup this swag from my mother’s in Keilor..Hope its there before we arrive, Not sure what the hold up is..Emailed but no clear answer.

    Bought a rain jacket here and they forgot to remove the security tag. Impossible to get a hold of over the phone. Was waiting for ten minutes before I hung up. I’ve shopped here before and the service is exceptionally poor.

    Good range, good pricing but on my two visits centred around this purchase I did not even SEE any staff. It was self-service on both occasions. a little frustrating, not acknowledging or serving customers has to be costing them sales. I did buy but would only return if I really had to, the experience wasn't great.

    Had a visit today and got all the essentials for an upcoming snow trip. Great selection of clothing and gear, well priced and cheaper for members which is great so I signed up. Staff were so helpful and I was in and out in 1 hour and a half, all set. Definitely recommend!!

    These guys are super helpful and there is a HUGE selection. Surprisingly for a camping shop, especially good for hiking/ running shoes. By far the best place I tried out of all of Northland. Plus clothes range great for tall people and larger sizes. I will be back!

    I first visited this store during the summer season and the manager refused to sell me an item bcs he deemed that I did not need it, my second visit was during the winter season and the same man wouldn’t scan thru items with their discounted price that was displayed. The store itself is great with heaps of variety of things to buy but the employees there are absolutely useless

    I would like to acknowledge and thank Brodie at Anaconda, Preston for his wonderful customer service today. He really understood quickly what I was after and he was very familiar with the stock. The Marmot jacket is a great choice! Anaconda Preston is indeed fortunate to have Brodie on their team.

    The only place in Melbourne that I could find that would sell me a kayak paddle! I was pleased to find an inexpensive kids paddle, which was only $20. Adult paddles started at $55.
