I'm curious why this place is rated so high to be honest. While the food is reasonable it's not amazing. Wonton soup had a decent taste but was packed in plastic. Wooden chopsticks but packed in plastic. The char tway kweo also packed in plastic and had only two prawns and all meat ingredients are very coarsely chopped so the flavour doesn't penetrate. The serving size is good. It's pretty average food court food. The business needs to consider sustainable packaging for the non liquid portions at least. The initial server experience was good but the lady who handed over the food was not interactive at all.

great quality food! they have a good variety of different dishes and choices, from ready made food for takeaway or cook to order dishes! and don't get me wrong, the ready made foods are actually delicious! my personal favourite is the Chilli Chicken (dont worry its not too hot) - it has so much flavour i am always coming back for more!!! the dumplings is also a winner! and so is the spicy beef noodle soups! and their fried chicken ribs! ohhh and their side serving of soup with beef is actually sooo good! i can't recommend these guys enough! they are located in the foodcourt (near eb games) and so there is plenty of seating spots indoors

Had the salted egg yolk bento and it was great. Loved the flavour of the prawn especially. May go back next time to try some of their other stuff.

Best Honey Chicken ever! Too good for a food court restaurant! Friendly staff too.

LOVE the tofu and vegetables here so much, it's great value (they put heaps in) and the staff are really friendly. They always give me extra tofu. Today they had another tofu dish - Mapo Tofu which was also amazing. Highly recommend going here.

Noodles is very nice, but honey chicken is too sticky. They sticked in your teeth

The food tastes amazing, the staff are friendly and your food is prepared quickly. They REALLY pack your meals with as much as they can fit, love that about them and one of many reasons why I always come back.

Most of these reviews are fake. It's greasy Chinese fast food in a food court, and very overpriced. It's not "good for a date", there are no "market prices", it's not a restaurant. Look at all these ridiculous reviews below from people with only 1 or 2 reviews total, and clearly fake western names. Google maps reviews are rubbish and fake.

Braised lamb ribs were sooo delicious. I forgot to take pictures and now I’ve aten all. I initially only ordered one small plate for dine in. I ended up ordering another one for takeout. Also ordered a beef ribs with tomato noodle soup. Unfortunately it’s on the sweet side.

First time eating at the new food court but had been eyeing off Alleyway Kitchen. Standard food court fare that didn’t disappoint. I ordered black bean chicken & sweet n sour pork with fried rice. The chicken was succulent as and the pork was battered to perfection. Will be back!

First up, for those who say it's a great place for a date I have to say that it is in a food court. The service from the fellow taking my order was lovely. The service from the lady I got my food from was rather curt. My food was ok. It wasn't bad but it wasn't anything special either. The chicken in the Fried Koay Two was in chunks ( like it has been pre cut to be used in a chicken dish like cashew chicken etc). The Chinese sausage was in long strips rather than small slices. The fish cake was replaced by a seafood stick ( which was fine). Overall it's ok, fine is the word that comes to mind. Not sure I would go back and pay $18 a dish for fine though.

I only tried the spicy beef noodle soup. Very delicious. I think this can be the only reason i go to karingal SC :)

Very generous serve here. Excellent value. I had noodles instead of nice. The noodles were really tasty and had quite a few veggies in them. The chicken with black bean was tasty and the chicken tender. The Mongolian beef was a little too salty. The pork balls were OK.

Honestly the best Chinese food around Frankston! Don't be fooled that it is located in a humble food court, the food is fresh and cooked with care and love. Try the chilli chicken if you like it spicy, otherwise cannot go wrong with the sweet sour pork. Note: chilli chicken is supposed to have bones in it, it's not supposed to be very meaty but very tasty... if you don't like that, don't order it and then give them a bad review :/

This restaurant has great atmosphere that every staff is welcoming, you’ll get your food within a few minutes. And I think their food quality is higher than average, so it is a choice for someone who don’t know what to eat.

To be honest Alleyway kitchen is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Melb. My favorite dishes are spicy beef, chili chicken and secret duck…and many more! each dish is so amazing and yummy that I took pictures and recommend them to my friends. The freshness was amazing and great value for money

I really want to say they have the best wonton in Melbourne, comparing with the size and taste, their price was very fair, you can just choose different flavors freely, I can promise that every flavor is amazing.

My friend recommend me to try this restaurant, he told me this restaurant has the best Chinese taste. After I tried it, I truly want to say that he was right. Their food was fast, that was a really nice choice for someone who only have a short break during their work.

This restaurant must be a good place for group meal, everyone can get what they want form their menu, there are plenty of options for different preference and their food and service was both nice and quick.

Our family had lunch here yesterday, that’s the first time that my husband try Chinese food, so using chopstick was a hard challenge for him, BUT their staff were really attentive, they provided spoon and fork even before we asked. In this way, we would like to come here again and again.

The seafood is so fresh and tender. If you don’t eat spicy you can let the staff know. The service is excellent too. We highly recommend this restaurant.
