Such an exciting experience for kids and adults! Everything is so bright and colourful. The sessions and spaces are very well managed, with lots of things to do. The staff are wonderful. The cafe has a good variety of healthy food and snack. Thank you! We will definitely recommend this place to any families with kids up to 8 or 9 yrs old.

Newly opened play centre on Bay road crossed the road from ALDI. It is a play centre ideally for children age up to 9, with a twist of art. Lovely bright colours and open plan layout. At the moment, booking in advance is essential and each session is for 2 hours on the weekend and 3 hours on the weekday. Activities (story time, art and craft, dance party) are offered throughout the session. Activities are great initiatives, although there are room for improvement on story time and dance party. It would be fantastic if multiple colours are provided for the car painting activity. Friendly staff who were doing the vacuuming and surface wiping quite regularly. Not sure if it is because we were at the last session of the day. Overall a very nice experience and very different from your normal play centre. Worth a visit.

We had high expectations of this place given previous reviews and the philosophy as stated on their website. And MoPA certainly delivered in every aspect. Entering the space, the warm and welcoming team are ready to help and answer any questions. The attention to quality is apparent immediately, with 'traditional' museum level details blended seamlessly with many playful elements. Even the toilets were a work of art! Overhearing a team briefing it was clear their philosophy on play is centred around the child's innate need to explore and discover new environments. Using suggestive and questioning language rather than dictatorial language is a beautiful touch - this one detail I have personally seen let down otherwise awesome kids spaces. Another testament to this philosophy are the activities, which are offered by choice, but not forced upon the children. The elements of the museum are very well imagined and constructed. They allow plenty of opportunity for children to use the spaces in many different ways, for whatever purpose the child (or adult!) imagines. The timed entry is an appropriate amount of time to explore and get value from the facility. The cafe was lovely to have a quick snack and break, the quality of the food and drink was great. We arrived by public transport (bus 822), which was convenient with a stop right outside the Museum. There is plenty of parking for those driving. Overall, an amazing experience that has inspired us immensely! Thank you ❤️

Visited during the holidays with a 4 and 7 year old. I was really impressed with how well this was set up. The staff were lovely and so engaging. There were great play areas with different stimulatory things for different age groups. Also a well run cafe to keep parents sane. Possibly a touch on the pricey side for a family of 4 but enjoyed it so much will be going back.

This playground was absolutely phenomenal, like no other play centre that I've been to loads of activities to fill up your 2-hour session and kids really enjoy it. There's loads of learning and interactive play. I would highly recommend this for kids from 1 to 7 years old. We barely got through everything in that 2-hour session allowing a little one to play on it all the little attractions

Many activities for the kids, each session is 2 hours and it went by pretty quick. The staff were very helpful, there were many activities like story telling, arts and craft during the sessions. There are also rooms you can rent for events. Will be back again soon.

My kids had the best time, too busy playing and heading to the next activity to even look at the goodies in the cafe, which was stocked with kids packs, gluten free and vegan options. We plan to get a membership so we can keep coming back and Mr.5yrs wants his next birthday party at MOPA. Lovely and helpful staff, thanks guys 🙌🏼

Fun, spacious and clean. Lots of stuff for the preschooler and an open crawling area for infants. The 4yo enjoyed it thoroughly and we went back another time before flying home. Only downside was that cafe offerings were a little slim.

We loved our visit to MoPA. My two children (4.5 & 2.5) we fully occupied the whole 2 hours we were there and we could have stayed longer. The team members all had energetic positive attitudes and really knew how to speak to children. The highlights were the ball tubes, Lego race tracks, the art activity and the dance party! Also, as a parent I love that all the areas are learning through play (especially their trial and error with the Lego cars). It was perfect for both ages.

Such a fun place! Heaps of parking out front, all the staff were so friendly and helpful. There is nothing about the whole experience I didn’t like. Being a weekday afternoon it was not too busy. I loved how the staff came over to invite the kids to the activities happening (story time, craft time, dance party) Cafe was well stocked with adult and kid friendly food which was a relief after big morning. We were able to have a cafe table and the kids could come and go because of the open plan design. The gift shop at entry actually had decent items and not just the usual junky stuff and quite reasonably priced. If we lived local we would definitely have annual passes! 10/10

I think this is one of my two-year-old's favorite places. There were a lot of interactive playgrounds and gadgets to play with. The layout is spacious and gives toddlers plenty of room to roam and experiment. The staff were also great with kids and will provide guided play when they're available. I highly recommend it.

Our son had a wonderful time and did not want to leave! The place is clean & fun even for us parents. Each room was entertaining and very exciting. Our son was able to freely crawl around safely. Surprisingly, it wasn’t crowded considering we went on a weekend plus there were private parties held too. The storytelling and party time are great additional activities for the kids. It was an amazing experience for us!

Fantastic space for kids. So much to do and see. It was also a lot of fun for mum and dad too. It wasn't the easiest to find. And go early to find parking as it shares parking with several other businesses. The cafe was ok. Very overpriced for the food that's provided and it's a shame you cannot bring your own. For the price of entry it would be good to be able to bring your own food. The story time and art time were really good. The art time was well run. Story time was very noisy and can be overstimulating for some kids. Will definitely be heading back though.

We all had an amazing time for my son's 5th birthday. The staff were wonderful and our hostess was attentive and very friendly. The kids food was amazing. The equipment is clean and well set out. A great venue!

I had heard about how amazing MoPA is for a long time and it did manage to live up to all the hype! So much fun for both my 3 year old and 1 year old. The two hour lime slot is fantastic, so much time to explore. I also loved the healthy snacks in the cafe :)

All you have to do is remove your inner Karen, remember every child is different, they don’t follow rules, they’re just having fun, some parents need a respite and you’ll have an amazing time with your child. We spent two hours there with our 18 month old. He loved it. The coffee and food were great, plenty of seats, and also a good place to find a single mum if you’re looking 😂 100% recommend

Phenomenal play centre styled like a modern interactive museum. So many rooms for the kids to explore and enjoy. Climb through the city, host a disco dance party, create anything with foam blocks or paint a car. Yep. There is that too (fully covered up even shoe booties.) Staff are around on the floor and very helpful. We went first session and the crowd was great. Lots of atmosphere and fun without being overwhelmed but sheer numbers. We attended a party. The rooms were spacious and well designed. Food was a great mix of healthy and party treats, and cupcakes as desert was a hit. Room host was wonderful leading the kids through the elements of the museum and everyone had a blast. Note: coffee took a LONG LONG LONG time, and wasn’t worth the wait. But another day, another barista??? Still. We are going back.

Great spot! We had visited MoPA Geelong on two previous occasions and loved it. It’s great for the kids in a great spot. When MoPA Melbourne opened, we decided to visit and we’re not disappointed. The facility is larger than Geelong and has all the same exhibits and more. Baby change mats available in the men’s bathroom as well which was great which I used to change my son. There are also smaller toilets in cubicles for kids in the adult toilets so that was certainly great as well. Highly recommended!

We have visited MoPA at least 4 times in the last 2 years and it never fails to delight and impress us. The varied activities are so well designed, the space is open, light and clean, the staff are fabulous and the coffee is pretty good too. Best value 2 hours of fun and entertainment around. I have recommended it to a number of fellow grandparents and always get great feedback.

MoPA is brilliant for both kids and parents. It's a clean, inspiring and safe environment and a great way to burn off some energy. We'll definitely be back!

Took my 19 month old today along with his 3yr old cousin and they had an amazing time! So well organised, clean and so much room for them to explore and play. Although there were lots of kids it was still nice and calm because of the size- nothing like indoor play centres. Each room offers something different. Worth the price 100%. Only suggestion would be to allow food from home for kids but they had so many options there for all ages so we were happy with that. Can’t wait to go back!

What a fantastic place for little kids and big kids alike. Great mix of art, play, music. My favourite was the Lego race track room, the boys enjoyed hiding in the city, the gallery wall and the slide of.course. couldn't recommend it highly enough.

Always enjoyed MOPA, so much fun Even for adults, i don't have to worry about my daughter running out of the venue. She'd be entertained for 30mins playing with the ball tubes. Really enjoyed the host led dance party too. I would do a party here if it wasn't so far away. Service, above and beyond great. Helped me watch my two infant and toddler while i ran to get the car in the rain, played with them and kept them entertained.

Spectacular place for kids to play and learn. Our 1 year old had the best time, having a dedicated soft play area for under 2’s was so appreciated, but she also loved the other spaces. We’ll definitely be back and wish you had one in Brisbane too!

On arrival it was fantastic from the second we walked in, staff were interactive with my son, informative and fun. A particular lady with blonde hair that held the music class was THE BEST! We will be back soon

Great fun place for kids aged 12 months plus to 5 MAX! While it's colourful and interactive, our kids aged, 4, 8 and 10 were somewhat board after an hour. Our 4yo continued to play but at the 90 min mark she too was over it. Fun activity for your toddler, but won't be rushing back anytime soon.

The whole MoPA experience was incredible, the place is different and with lots of fun activities for the kids. The dance party was fun , all the kids had the best time . It was their one of the Best PARTY ever!!

We had the most wonderful time!! We loved all the activities! They were all very age appropriate for our almost two year old and she had a blast! We even loved the healthy snack boxes available at the cafe!! We will definitely be back!

Such a great kid space! When we first entered to check in (pre-booking is mandatory), we were greeted by a very friendly person who was definitely delighted to interact with the kids. My children painted on the VW Bug (what?!), played with the balls in the vacuum tube, enjoyed rolling cars on the hills, played with the big blue building things, enjoyed a very cute story time, and had a blast sliding. Totally wore them both out in the best ways. It was very clean, but they did not offer hand sanitizing stations. None of the employees wore masks. There were a ton of babies (obviously), so I assume breastfeeding is no big deal, but I’d like to have seen both quiet, comfortable, and private nursing rooms available, as well as a clear and obvious signage that breastfeeding is fine anywhere in the space.

From the moment we walked through the door the staff were friendly and interactive. Our 6yo and 2yo loved every activity section; and the dance party and story time were a huge hit. We loved that it was all very family friendly, so much so that my wife and I joined in on a family slide and climb through the MoPA City! Our only grievance is that sessions don't go for 3 hours!!

One of our favourite places to take the kids. It's vibrant, fun, clean and extremely friendly. Great coffee and dark hot chocolate too :)

  • 5/5 Suzi S. 9 months ago on Google
Crazy busy during school holidays- obviously. But lots of fun activities for kids to run, slide, climb and play, colour, paint and draw. Was absolutely brilliant (for the littlies, try and go mid-week and you'll get the place to yourself 😉)

Next level amazing. Super clean and hygienic facility. Very controlled ticket numbers so never crowded in an uncomfortable or unsafe way. Loved all the amazing play experiences and enjoyed a delicious meal at the cafe. Can’t wait to visit again.

Staff were friendly, always with a smile on their faces. A great range of play experiences and discovery for children. Our 2 year old loved the slide, climbing through the house and the air ball pipes. Our 4 year old enjoyed problem solving and the mirrors. Hours of entertainment for our children and we can’t wait to visit again! 🥰
