Only getting one star because there's no option of no stars! EXTREMELY poor level of care provided to patients/ residents. It's hard enough to have a loved one placed in care.....Its even harder to see them over medicated, borderline neglect. No personal interaction or stimulation! Its heartbreaking to see a relative in that position.........NEEDLESS TO SAY WE PROMPTLY REMOVED OUR GRANDFATHER !

Hugely negligent and unethical medical practice. They treat psychogeriatric patients badly and my mum lost so much weight not being fed properly under their care, got sicker and sicker under their care.

This is the worst hospital for the elderly. My dad was admitted to get help with his parkinson but instead he was traumatised from the nurse that was so called looking after and abused. The nurse Nathan who abused my dad. He managed to leave a scratch mark on his neck and said it was an accident this cannot be an accident not like this. We expect the nurses to look after my dad for him to get better not to get treated like this. This is not professional and you call yourself a nurse. No matter how much my dad is aggressive or angry he cannot be treated like this.being abused like this . We have taken this further to the police and will take this to court and lay charges. And this is not an accident it's literally abuse.

The pain specialist ignored me, cut me off, rushed me through questions about my health, lied to me, caused me stress which resulted in self harm and gave me the all clear with no investigation into the issues I was trying to explain to him that I was experiencing. Any time I mentioned a diagnosis given to me by a doctor I was questioned with "Did a doctor say this or are you saying this?" and I felt genuinely upset and angry to have my experiences undermined and ignored after waiting so long for help dealing with my health. Physiotherapist and psychologist through the pain clinic were nice but I had no expectation for them to help if the pain specialist ignored my circumstances.

Warning to all- do not allow your loved ones to attend this horrible, depressing place. Staff are only concerned with absolving themselves of legal responsibility rather than actual care. Doctors, social workers, occupational therapist and HARP social workers emotionless, uncaring and cold hearted in their so called “duty of care”.

This place is the worse place if you need help, there's no one who's around who helps. When my mother wants her case manger she ever to busy or not there she gone out. And my mothers case manger is not doing nothing for her, every time she rings up for something to be done at home case manger won't let her used her packages where's she got the funds to used. All her case manger says to her is (it's not my fault it's the government who said she you can't)

Yes this hospital is old but on the whole the staff are wonderful. Our 99 yr. Old mother spent just over 6 weeks recovering from a total hip replacement and although we would have liked her to have been getting more physio each day leading to what we felt would have been an earlier discharge we couldn't fault the care mum received from the nurses, doctor's and physio's, they were all so caring.

I would not give them one star. My mother was there for nearly 3 weeks. Staff are negligent towards the elderly. My mother lost weight while she was there. I wouldn't send my cats and dogs to that place. Come on Victoria our health system is going to the dogs. They had no idea on what they were doing. Best to take your elderly parents somewhere else if they need rehab, because this place doesn't provide much of anything. I felt like I was in a third world country and even then I think they would have had more compassion than that lot over there had.

Northern Health is good for one thing doing nothing. When you need someone for help there's no one around to get help or ask questions. And when u request for something they knock it on the head and cover up by saying it's not us it's the government Northern Health is totally excellent at coming up with excuses

I was very impressed with the care and attention here. I saw 5 healthcare people and they were all terrific - very professional and all so pleasant.

Not a good place to recover for an old man sharing a room with and old lady yelling all day ,very depressing for my dad. Rooms without a toilet and bathroom ,they all get to share one toilet, not very hygienic. Can't wait to get him out of there
