I am not happy with the care my daughter is receiving there. On one occasion my daughter needed an emergency refill and the receptionist wouldn't let us communicate with our provider. Another occasion my daughter had just been prescribed a new medication and wasn't feeling well, the receptionist would not let us speak to the practitioner who prescribed it unless we waited until the next available appointment. I understand that they need office visits to make money, but our health can't be compromised for that reason.

Plug for the new Coastal Psychiatric Urgent Care! My five year old has autism and has been very destructive and aggressive. His specialist couldn’t get him in until November, for an existing patient! I finally took him to Coastal for the first time on August 2nd. They were so wonderful! They put me at ease regardless of his behavior and were extremely accommodating of us. They have a sliding scale (not in network for insurance yet but working on it) and they were able to help with what we needed without issue. He was seen both by Dr. Karle and Michelie Levrier, APRN at the same time to streamline the appointment. I’m very impressed and happy to have a place like this in our community. Regarding previous post, I knew before going that they do not prescribe certain controlled medications as it is posted prominently on the website. For those medications, I am keeping his specialist appointment but I’m extremely happy that they were able to help with other medications to get us to that appointment. I’m returning to them for medication management appointments and recommend them to everyone I know. They also have amazing follow up for their patients. I’ve easily been able to speak to the ARNP herself multiple times since our first visit. I always am quickly able to speak to a friendly person, not a machine, and the provider calls back in a timely manner if I’m unable to reach her immediately. This place could be a real game changer for appropriate mental health services in our area!

Steven is not fit for this type of service. He is not a doctor and only cares about the business transaction with no customer service skills. I'm a manager for a financial institution for over 13 years. I will not recommend. I believe he is confused and believes we need him when there company needs us. I have great insurance and I'm transferring my daughter out sadly. I really loved everyone else. My daughters father is a lieutenant in Airforce. Just because you have a military background is no excuse. My daughter was a patient. She mentioned to me in her previous encounter with him that she felt pressured by him to take medication from the doctor and it felt uncomfortable. Not that they actually care about the patient they are treating. Long story short the reminders for the appointments are sent only by email. I missed my daughters therapy appointment due travel for work. Today I get a call from my daughters school because she was having a meltdown and wanted to come in voluntary. While in the waiting room I'm approached by Steven not even aware of the reason for my visit. He informed me I missed her appointment. I took ownership for not checking my emails. Then he implies that my daughter is here for medicine and before she can be treated for medicine I need to pay the missed appointment fee. He asked if he can charge that card. I mentioned I need to go to the bank. He spoke really fast and unclear. It was delivered in a fashion that I would also have to pay to be prescribed medicine. I informed him that we were not here for medicine. It was due to school calling me. She has not recently had any bad days. He then mentions well since you missed the last appointment before I can release anything for her school you have to pay $75.00. I mentioned to him he wasn't really clear with his intent. He repeated himself as if he was a debt collector. The energy was really off and negative. The issue is not the money but the fact that he didn't care for the reason of her visit. We need help and these are stressful moments. He only cared about the business transaction to pay the $75.00. When I was leaving he ran outside and as I was leaving I could see him staring at my car in a form of intimidation. As if I had done something. I went to the bank withdrew the money and came back to pay the $75.00 fee. I obtained my daughters appointment records and I will never come back to this place. I understand there is a business that has to be ran but the tactics used when you don't pay at the time they request it is awful. Terrible and Terrifying experience. I don't believe he understands or cares what its like raising a child in this mental state. Being approached with sarcasm and scare tactics is a recipe for disaster. I believe his previous work background is not a fit for this type of care.

This place has little respect for their patients. My therapy appointment felt like a zoom call with work. The front desk lady Megan is very rude and inconsiderate. She should definitely not be working with such a vulnerable population and learn some customer service skills. They always use my insurance as an excuse for problems and then I miss appointments because of it and they charge me. If you are someone like me who is forever recovering from BPD, depression, and anxiety please find somewhere that will actually care about your well being and actually knows what to do in this field.

This place was horrible. Had two sessions with two different people and got the same results. When I tried to addressed it with management (Steve) things got worse. They also continued to charge my credit card for visits that never happened. These guys are frauds and are in it for the money, they are not interested in helping people. I had to file a complaint with my insurance company. If you are in need of care, go elsewhere!!!

They took my credit card information in a psychiatric crisis after I was the victim of an attack. The psychiatrist quit and they texted me that so I asked them to cancel the appointment, they canceled the appointment but are still charging me for appointments with a psychiatrist that doesn’t even work there. I feel like they really took advantage of me in a vulnerable time and I don’t have the $130 lying around to pay them for care I’m not even receiving. Please be careful with this place!

I want to share my experience since I see so many negative comments that I think are not deserved. I moved from out of state a few months ago. When I came down I called around to see if I could arrange to become a patient at more than a few psychiatrist offices. The ones that I tried either were not accepting new patients or had appointments at least three months out. A few that I reached only by voicemail did not even return my calls. I was nearing crisis when I finally found this resource. I was in disbelief that I could just walk in and see somebody, so I called to verify and was told that was the case. I left for the office shortly after the call. When I arrived I was treated with empathy and caring. Both Dr. Karle and Michelie sat through my evaluation and asked pertinent questions. I left the office with a script and even told where I could get my medication cheaper. Jennifer even printed out google maps for me because my phone was not working and being new to the area, I did not know the location of the pharmacy. I left with hope, something I did not feel for a while. Now, for some things that people should be aware of. At the time I went they did not accept insurance yet, but I think they have a sliding scale for people of less means. Also, they are wary of prescribing certain medications that may be habit forming or even dangerous, but so are many other doctors and clinics. If you are prescribed these medications, then call your prescriber who is aware of your history and is willing to prescribe this type of medication. You cannot expect to walk in to any clinic or office and expect to walk out with a script for certain types of medication without some history with your medical care members. I was so impressed with my care that I am now a regular patient. Why go to a doctor who can only see you when his schedule allows when I can go at my leisure and get the same or better care. I am now 100% again thanks to Dr. Karle and her excellent staff.

The concept of this clinic is great, and the staff are just as great. As someone who has dealt with mental health for several years and has seen over half a dozen doctors, I felt absolutely comfortable with the folks at this clinic. I've been in need of an evaluation for my job. I have called numerous clinics and doctors looking for someone that could assess me with no luck. Either the physicians were not seeing new patients, or they couldnt see me for weeks. I'm beyond grateful for this clinic, and what they do for the community.

The staff is just incredibly supportive, professional, and caring toward their clients. As a patient myself, Dr. Karle has helped me in a lot of ways which makes me feel better about myself. Mr. Stephen is also a supportive part of the team. He knows how to make me laugh and feel welcomed. Michelie, the Nurse Practitioner knows how to treat her patients and it's incredible to see the amount of work and effort they put into making their urgent care the way it is. Are they perfect? No, nobody is. But, they do a lot better than a lot of other places. Thank you guys for taking care of me and the community. :)

Professional, caring staff. Dr. Karle was very understanding and supportive. They weren’t accepting my insurance yet because they are new, but they offered me a sliding scale payment based on my income. They may call themselves an urgent care but I’ll be back for a regular visit.

If I could leave no stars I would. Very unprofessional and billing department has flaws. Make sure to confirm insurance and well as source of payment because they will pull payment without authorization.

Staff was kind and courteous. Clinician really took their time to consider all treatment options and come up with a plan together with my Mom! Thank you Christopher! 👏

Dr. Karle and her staff are the best. I go to another provider now, because I'm on Medicare and their office doesn't take it. They offered a sliding scale and we're very nice and professional. I even agreed to have my genes mapped to find out what medications are best for me. I enjoyed being a client and recommend them wholeheartedly.

Coastal providers helped me right away when I had severe panic attacks and anxiety! The offer same day appointments with the PA and I am able to see the doctor and PA long term term

I went there to get my medicine check, Bethany the doctor literally saw me for like 10 minutes and switched everything on me- this place will take $300 for 10 minutes and not help. This place has made me more depressed than ever. Please DO NOT GO there. I don’t even think their license.

Nurse Practitioner Chris Spellicy is absolutely THE best medical professional I have ever worked with. He is kind and caring. He lets me speak without interrupting me, and addresses each and every one of my concerns, one by one, and makes sure to answer any of my follow up questions. He is never frustrated when I continue to ask questions on a topic, and takes the time to research possible medications and side effects in real time. I am sad to be moving out of state next year because I would choose to have Chris Spellicy be my medication provider for the rest of my life if I could. He has made the journey to treating my treatment-resistant depression much less stressful, and I am forever thankful for him. Thank you Chris!!!
