Lovely place right by the beach- can’t beat that! The food was excellent and I really like their diverse menu! Peanut butter is my favourite thing on earth so I will try anything to do with peanut butter; and I recommend their peanut butter milkshake for PB fans, good PB flavour. My daughter even had 2! Clean pristine bathrooms are a must for me, and theirs are great. Just note that lunch is only served from 12h30 Only one thing- managers PLEASE discuss with your staff like the old days, before shifts start, which foods or drinks etc are not available for the day. It’s simple and it avoids this back forth “sorry we don’t actually have what you’ve just ordered” over and over

Lovely outdoor venue,lots of umbrellas for shade from morning/ afternoon sun. Good menu selection. Had iced coffee on a warm afternoon. Lovely views to the ocean. Breakfast special great value and the Vegan loaded is very tasty and well presented. Don't forget to register for their coffee loyalty program.

We've been enjoying breakfasts at The Hart for almost 4 years now. Their customer service has always been attentive and warm and the restaurant's ambience is cosy and inviting. We love their meals which are always well prepared and well priced. The restaurant is pet friendly and is across the road from the beach. It's a rather popular spot, so the earlier you go on weekends the better. Although you can make a booking online.

We’ve been there several times for breakfast and lunch and it’s always a treat. The view is amazing, the staff are always friendly and the food is delicious. I was there this weekend and ordered the squid and wihile very tasty, there was too much olive oil. So next time I’ll ask for it on the side. Other than that, I highly recommend everything on the menu, burgers are amazing, love the green apple, pineapple and ginger juice my favourite for breakfast. Well done Hart!

Chilled place to eat when not so full. We went when there was hardly anyone at the restaurant and it was great. Comfortable seating, the smell of the beach, flavourful food and service with a smile. Would recommend. Only thing toilets were soiled not sure what cleaning schedule is like, could have just been an oopsie by someone else.. these things happen 🌻

My boyfriend and I went there last Saturday for a breakfast together for the first time. I read that you couldn’t go in without a reservation but still went without it. When we arrived, it was packed but fortunately there was a table for us. It was not sunny so it’s pretty chilly since we were next to the door which was open the entire time. We were welcomed by a vibrant staff and an energetic waiter. I ordered the full harted breakfast and a cup of hot chocolate. Both were amazinggg. Perfect mushrooms, refreshing beans, fresh bread, hearty chorizo and bacon and oh my God, the onion rings were the best I had. Although my bf and I both weren’t too fan of their cheese griller. Could change the brand ;) I’m such a small eater but I almost finished my plate. The rest of course went to my bf🥰 He ordered the bomb brekkie bun but I forgot to take a proper photo as he was already digging in. 😅 I didn’t have some of it too ( which isn’t so not normal for me) as I was craving for some mushrooms that day. Clean place and very good staffs. Nice weekend vibe 👌🏼

I had a great time at The Hart today. The menu has a good variety and the food tasted amazing. The restaurant has inside and outside seating with the view of the beach. Staff was very attentive and friendly. The device was good, food came out quite quickly and staff was always checking that we were happy. The bathroom are nice and clean. It was a bit windy outside today but other than that it was a perfect day at The Hart

Lovely setting! The lemon butter sauce served with fish is not tasty. Can you provide tartar option? I had to get up and order my new drink at the bar, after having an empty glass for approximately 8-12 minutes and then I took the opportunity to request sauce for our table, as nothing was offered. I asked the trainee of the day if the vegetarian burger patty had soy in it, and he did not know or did not offer to find out. I had to ask him to please find out. I then had to ask the manager to find out as well. The chicken mayo sandwich had no trace of Mayo, not even a taste of Mayo. We love dining out once a month and really expected a bit better than the service we received in Melkbosstrand.

Most enjoyable breakfast. Their "simple" breakfast as it is called on the menu is a filling well prepared meal. It includes scrambled or poached eggs , sweet fried cherry tomatoes , sautéed mushrooms, bacon strips and sour dough toast. Price R89.00 Their Americano was good and well priced at R30.00. The overall price for breakfast was thus R120.00 per person. I feel it is just a tinge on the high side. My notion is that if they had included the coffee or fruit juice and offered the breakfast at a price of R99.00 it would have been a great meal at a very acceptable price and possibly have swung my perception of the whole experience to absolutely fantastic. You may ask so what is the big deal about twenty bucks ... possibly not much but for a family of five a simple breakfast becomes a R660 ( including tip ) exercise.

Lovely pit stop for a quick coffee and some food after a long cycle. Lovely view and friendly staff. Food is delicious and tasty. This is the place to go if you are looking to enjoy a meal or socialize with friends. Food does not take long at all. Weekends this is my favorite place to stop and refuel my energy. Definitely recommend the hart to everyone.

It is a sweet restaurant with a great view of the ocean. The service was a bit slow, but the cheesecake tasted great! The burgers are big, but the flavors does not match...

The food lets this place down, which is unfortunate for a restaurant. The atmosphere is nice, the ambiance good, the staff absolutely lovely, but the food? At best, meh. The pic is of a R140-odd burger. Great chips, old onion rings, and a tiny beef patty on wilted lettuce, tomato cut too thick, and topped with a couple of very sad bacon rashers, tasteless cheese and admittedly lovely avocado. But still, a stunningly disappointing meal. Oh, and the wine is eye-wateringly expensive for some very basic varietals. But to be fair, they do offer a carafe option and I didn't see the size of those. No, I won't be back. The Spur across the road offers much better burgers, a more reasonably priced wine list, and frankly better views. But then, you are in a Spur...

Great food, quick service and beach side views. Came here for Saturday morning lunch and it had lots of good outdoor and indoor seating options well spaced from one another. The full menu of fresh wraps, grilled sandwiches and burgers were all well priced. Lots of drink both alcoholic, soft drinks, coffee, teas and milkshakes. I ordered the grilled chicken wrap and it had large chunks of white meat, beets and freshly made sweet potatoes chips. Delicious fresh food.

Nice place, close to beach. Ocean breeze while you eat. Toliet is nice and big with hot water. Food and service was great. Thanks Keith our waiter. Its also wheelchair friendly.
